      #715th to give a 👍! 😊
All three Aquascaps are very beautiful.
The only thing is Aquariums should be at eye level or head hight as you are walking in or walking up close to the Aquariums, they should not be low down.
I understand that in a Fish Store you cannot really avoid that because of the great amount of holding Aquariums however if they are going to be that beautifully done then it is a shame to not be able to appreciate the complete beauty of them.
But all in all they are very beautiful and tastefully done. 👍✌️😊

💙That 3rd tank is hard to beat. The aquascape looked nice enough to compete with. It just needed a bit of trimming & he could win a prize for his design. Well Done!!

My favorite tank has to be the third one. I absolutely love any kind of Anubias plants, so much so that I have several specimens in my current 75 gallon tank.

Wow, I really like all 3 low tech scapes in their own way. The buce tank is stunning, I have a similar project nano to that and love it. The shallow tank looks lovely with the emerse growth. The last tank had a very nice layout and looks so lush and green even under that low wattage light. One question, what level intensity is the ONF nano light set on for the buce tank? Cheers for the great tour George. 💚🌱

I feel like the whole live plants thing is just peer pressure for marketing schemes, like introducing to smoking a cigarette when you're young.
After a lot research, I ditch the cookie cutter aquascape and go bare bottom. Save $ on substrates and live plants.
The pros of going bare bottom with simple Aquaponics setup.
My fishes finished all their foods. The bottom of the tank and water stay sparky clean. My hang on household plants eliminated ammonia and algae. Water change take a few minutes and I don't have to trim plants or gravels vacuum. A win win for me.
My filter media contain 8 bio balls and 2 sponge floss (the white and blue type)
Here is the sceenshots of my tank.
      imgur.com/gallery/201V8IU
Any suggestions for my tiny self cleaning tank?
I lol'd at one of the guppy staring at my background photo.

My favorite is definitely that last one. Man is that thing beautiful. Just shows you dont need all that expensive stuff to enjoy this beautiful hobby. There are so many different levels to the hobby and I think mastering the low tech side is more difficult because you really gotta dial things in. High tech tanks are great too but there isn't as much of a challenge since you've got the co2 doing the bulk of the work besides water changes. Low tech you really gotta be careful how much light you use. Better off starting low light and working your way up for sure. Love the video man. Love them all but that last one got me inspired to step my game up haha. Cheers bro!

That was a great video. I love that Ray has non co2 tanks that are so beautiful. I have six scaped tanks and don’t use co2 on any of them. It is more work but much better for the fish. I have always looked at “safe amounts of co2” in the water the same as safe levels of pollution in the air that we breath. I think we would all prefer no pollution and if our fish could talk they would say no co2 please.

The reason we are sold so much equipment by shops and online merchants is their profits, they couldn’t make as much if we knew how easy most plants and fish can be. I haven’t use medication on fish for 15 years now, and looking at the advice they give to beginners, there is no way you can manage without a dozen antibiotics for even a dozen fish. Same is true for plant fertilisers even though regular light and fish poop can work great for them.

I just wanted to post a little nudge here in the sake of greater good. Poster condorX2 has been piled on a bit for their setup and I want to point out a couple of things please. Check out their linked video in this thread. There are a few indicators here which may be helpful:
    - the setup is outside; with only a sheet and a cinderblock wall
    - there is no fancy gear at all, and no lights
    - the fish are stated as being rescues, from their mother, with whom they live
    - the tank backing is cut out from the box the filter came in
    - the poster has added pothos to the environment in order to aid in nitrate reduction
    - the poster has also indicated they do not like to see waste in the tank
    - poster has been active since 2006
All in all poster not a child but the setup is about as far from high end as it gets, and I suspect it is not because of a lack of interest, rather some other key variables. There is clearly a desire to learn and grow, even if the method is crude.
Perhaps we could all start 2021 with a little more empathy and respect for others, and make the world a better place.
    Please like if you agree.

This is awesome. I’m running a tank and some plants are starting to dissolve and melt.
After research I’ve came to the conclusion I really need co2🤣 some plants really need actual co2 to keep on growing. Mostly red plants that have this problem. Hope they grow back. I’m not in a way atm to afford co2 setup. Quite expensive

Want to hear about how you can do adjustable CO2 for like $30?

Beautiful scape. By the way, do you happened to have a step by step setup of the non co2 scape at shown at Scaped Nature?

Hi George, I am stunned by the last aquarium! Absolutely love it! I would like to create an aquarium with platies as well. But would you happen to know how much Tropica Aqua Soil could lower the pH? I usually have a pH of around 7.5/8.0, could the Aqua Soil bring it down to 6.5/7.0 or just a few tenths? Thank you in advance!
