I've been meaning to do this for a long time but needed to rescue the amazon swords for the amazon aquarium. Now that they are out, I can finally revamp the tank to a much more manageable state and keep it looking great all the time.

Hi
what kind of stones did you use in timmys aquarium
@@nilsstruijk7164 it was giant river rocks
@@nilsstruijk7164 I don't know. They were from a garden centre
Thank you MD to give me these ideas
Perfect for beginners with low budget, I mean.. no fancy substrate & fert, no co2, low tech. Thumbs up
Let's call this style of scaping "MD Style" :)) inspire me a lot
I was thinking that when I was watching this set up. I was like that’s MD style. It’s looks awesome and very simple 🍿
I'm learning to be patient. Buy little plants and watch the evolution of my tanks. It's only been a matter of months and 4 tanks later I just purchased 4ftx18"x18", so #5.
I think adding a few smaller rocks and pebbles as details will really tie this together. Awesome consistency with the videos man. You are special, dont get too wind up tho like a lot of pet youtubers.
That is classic MD when he does that, do love his style like this with no stem plants but I think it makes it more interesting when he does little details especially to us aquiscapers!
I'm jealous of how many plants he has, especially since I don't have access to any where I live 😩
You can always import from almost anywhere !
Amazon dude......better yet....look up Arizona fish and plant farm...AZ Gardens!
Shipping live stuff from the US/UK plus the customs...nightmare
You right bro
Lots of people sell their trimmings and extras and such on eBay
I can't help but thing that the clam needs to come and live in this tank. The boys would love it and you could enjoy seeing it and it not being hidden under all the pearl weed in the Asian Tank. Love the channel!
Looks awesome! I like how you used a few different species of plants. I am about to change my 30 gal up. Thanks for the ideas!
Love this island style Scape with epiphytes, it's how I've done my nano cube and hopefully will have a larger one sometime next year!
U can get some zebra danios... I love these fish... I've some 20 something in my tank... And they are always zigzaging on the top!
This is what I’ve waited for thank you MD
So beautifully matured big chunks of Java fern!
George is cool. 👌
I think that val in the background would suit this tank.
This is the kind of community tank I want, a large center place with epiphytic plants, with swimming room, with a large mix of community fish, and a couple of medium fish, and a couple of large centerpiece fish, of course most of the fish will be schooling fish, and a mix of fish that swim in different layers of the aquarium, and of course a couple odd ball fish, and maybe a couple of other critters.
MD would love a video of you covering what you feed all your tanks!
Love the outcrop! Ode to the single, lonely george farmer fern in the studio tank 😂
The most beautiful things in life are basic. Top notch, MD!
Love all of your videos! Whilst you were at it, you should have turned the aquarium around so that the scratched glass was at the back. It all looks great, keep the videos coming, really enjoyable.
Couple more discus! Such a beautiful peaceful tank to sit at home and just relax with! Love the new look in this tank 👍🏻
You are Bob Ross of aquascaping 💙
This is my favourite yet, love to see open areas around the front and sides👍
That scape looks perfect
So simple so effective. One extreme to another great job. Keep the great content coming super inspirational to us beginners.
I just love your scaping - a real inspiration to me know when I'm starting up a couple of tanks after a few years of pause.. Thank you.
You re the best scaper. My favourite. Simple scapes, really cool and more natural. Great job man.
This scape is so amazing, I’m going to have to give replicating it a go!
post a video of it
Ah this is perfect. Be asked to set up an easy planted tank for my parents and this is exactly what I had in mind. This has served as great inspiration cheers
Beautiful. I love tanks that have plenty of swimming room with an attractive plant/wood/rock setting.
Ahhhh.... what a wonderful start to my weekend! Another great video! I love this re-build! I have tetras like that, we call them Von Rios. And your Rummy Nose resemble my Denison barbs. But Rams are some of my favorite. Like you always say, "they are all my favorites aren't they"!
It's often the simplest scape looks the best. Great job 👌
I am enjoying my low maintenance epiphyte tanks too. I was surprised you went for white sand, as a pretty gravel is also less maintenance. Thanks for all the videos.
I leapt for joy at 8.11 when I saw the budget (SunSun?) canister... as I am a seriously cheap-ass hobbyist, it's nice to see some cheap equipment being used.
I'm glad to see you kept the Bolivian Rams they are looking pretty good.
An MD video always makes my morning brighter!!!! 😃
Just did my discus tank shame i cant post any pictures on here but its a mix of ur home aquarium and ur big discus tank really love ur videos and u always give me some new ideas that i can try on one of me 9 aquarium next project will be trying to do the amazon tank 💪
I've noticed on your videos the dislikes are around 50 give or take. I think they are a tad envious of how quickly you gained subscribers. I enjoy your videos and I have to admit I was influenced by your ranchu video posted a year ago. After a 20 year hiatus of keeping fancy goldfish (my first fish as a kid) I set one up again and loving it.
I think that Discus wants some Friends 🥺
Yeah I would say the same, at least another 4
I havent even kept discus but i think its true.
I stayed up all night just because in your last video you said you would be doing your home tank!
Love watching your fish tank builds there so inspirational
What a marvelous set up. Thanks for sharing knowledge and experiences...
Hatchet fish 👌🏼 they look awesome at the top of the tank and they are really bright
I was wondering what happened to the rams!! Good to see them again... they’ve grown! ❤️
The tank looks beautiful!!! Hope your wife is happy with it! ⭐️
Love the new set up, and thanks for the inspiration. I’ve got “runny” noses, Bolivian rams, panda corys, and Siamese algae eaters in my tank as well.
I AM DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH THIS MASTER PIECE 😍😍😍
"Runnynose tetra" is adorable lol what a sweetheart. Some hatchetfish would make a brilliant addition! Perhaps a whiptail as well, I love chameleons which would suit the scape well but they can be hard to come by.
Love seeing your clean tanks
I bet the fish think there on holiday....looks great mate 👍
Smart move on waiting with cleaning the filter. 👌 Keep up the awesome content mate.
Amazing improvement! Great video.
Great tank! MD I know in one of your previous vlogs you were on about maybe getting another 4ft tank for your studio, ever considered going for a rainbow fish only set up, amazing colours and variety you can get from them especially in the smaller species, psudomugil luminatus and furcatus are my personal favourite for the smaller species and you can’t go wrong with a boesmani rainbow fish 😊👍💚
Can you make a video explaining how you medicate common fish illnesses (what products, dosing, etc) I have a group of fish that are having long term swim blater issues. I’ve tried everything!!
I've got the 100l version of this tank so have always been curious what you do with it. This is a great idea and hardscape wise not too dissimilar to what I'm planning for my rescape. Keep it up MD
Great job done. Amazing my friend. Well done.
MD Fish Tanks! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now! I need help with my tank
Hi MD, i like the revamp. Very neat and good group of fish.
One of my favourite scapes so far definitely will try replicate this for some L046 pleco 👍🏻
You should get more cardinal tetras after seeing a lone one in there
I really enjoy your aquascaping tutorials, keep up the good work man!!!!
loved the innitial overgrown look more.
I love your videos!! Inspiration for new scapes to try out and super cool to watch.
shoal of marble hatchet fish would look great in here , youve done a great job here mate
You make it look so easy. Great job!
I think some sort of pleco or catfish would look nice, I personally have a pictus catfish which have a very nice colour
Looks brilliant, maybe some marbled hatchet fish on top 👍👍👌
"Runny nose" because they got colds; totes adorbz!! Beautiful kid!!
Should move those 2 discus in with the other 5 at the studio
I think discuss are pretty aggressive towards lone fish being added later. These ones look much smaller too.
Bolivian ram is an unsung fave of mine. Red eye tetra shoal would be nice in here
U can simply located the rock and wood and it becomes an awesome view.. ❤
This is the video I've been waiting for 😊 I love this.
Amazing and Excellent fishing !!!!!
Hi MD! Will you be nutrient dosing this new set up? No CO2 I see?
Great videos! Thanks. See more of you than George Farmer now! 👍🏻
Looks great as always.
Lovely tank. Id be devastated with those scratches though
Very Beutiful i love it your tank goodluck
Get a load of Marble hatchet fish for the top of your tank, they are great little fish but love to jump out the tank. Looks great with the re-scape, another 4 Discus would look good to
the amount of scratches in that tank XD
Wouldn't a few honey gouramis look good in that tank cause they will match the color of the discus so wel, again great video md!
Hey, could you do a tutorial on your external filter and the pipes in the tank please, I'd love to know more about them. I want to get into external filters but unfortunately I dont know much about them. Thank you so much I enjoy watching your videos all the time
Love ur content broo.... merry Christmas.
How do you get away with the water being alkaline from the rocks when these fish require acidic water?
Nice scape! Be careful with the skimmer tho, looks like its underwater, fish might swim into the filter
I like it. Sometimes (most times😁) simple is better.
I prefer the overgrown look to this but variety is the spice of life.
Yay! Your brilliant wife finally gets her wish for a new scape! I always think of her holding the fort back home when you're in the studio at stupid o'clock! How about some Danios for action in the top section?
Dawn tetra for the surface region. Pretty. Highly active. Peaceful.
Really loving the videos
simple and funcional perfect MD style ,question would this work for a gold fish ?
yea 100% but I always think round hardscape suits goldfish tbh
More Rummys and Discus!!! Maybe a blue one?
One of my faves this bud looks amazing Xx
i have that exact same tank which i got from maidenhead aquatics , hoping to rescape it next year tho to get discus
I think the stocking is good as it is, maybe more of the fishes that are already in the tank and then some glass silures that will shool in the flow grabing food
Rummy nose! My favorite
Yeap you did it again ... amazing scape
MD a love your fish tank
Think it would look good with some Buce in the front of the rocks
I have the 300 litre aqua oak, much easier to work on without the hood on, nice scape as always 😁
true, but the lights are attached to the hood and if removed, it would be dark haha
Great work MD
Just gorgeous!! ❤️
beautiful!
Verry very very nice good job
Beautiful. I love all of your creations, but being new, this one appears to be obtainable. I would like to ask, with no soil substrate, how are you fertilizing the plants? We have a new tank I'd like to try this with, but don't feel like killing s bunch of plants. Lol.
Thank you for sharing your creations. Your new videos brighten my day
