I take blue tac with me for added weight. Just squeeze it in feeder which give you the ideal weight to cast & clip up. Hope this helps. Yes I’m 6 years late.
I never got this with leaving your rod clipped up, what happens when you strike a fish and it wants to take line? Your clipped up. I always unclip and mark with a bit of pill elastic tied round line. Is there a way around this?
Hi. Many thanks for all your interesting videos. I would be interested which method you use to clip, when there are risks to take big fishes. Could you do a video on this ?
Yeah u can play fish with it, normally u got to retrieve some line to get ur tip stretched enough - so u normally have 2-3 turns on your reel time to get the line off the clip
I’m just getting back into fishing after 50 years.. I had no idea that modern reels had this function... many thanks. I have a lot to learn👍🏻
A video so simple goes along way
Thank you very much for the knowledge....

also, to allow for a drill to pull out beyond cliped position start winding from left to right, 1.5 wind
What rod and reel is that pls and I've fished with his daughter
And what line
great video but can you leave it under the line clip and play a fish or not ?
I would like to know that also?

What about if you hook a large fish and it takes line and your stuck on the clip??
When a fish takes your feeder get some firm reels in to make sure your not just down to your clip because if the fish bolts it will just snap you
If fishing far bank it will usually come towards you anyway so that when you reel in a few times to act as a buffer if it decides to take a runner!!
DO NOT MOVE THE FEEDER!
