Few years back went to cudmore when I started fishing, it was raining, sat under a hand held umbrella and a shoe lace knot on the rig. With just me and Andy on the lake, he came over had a good chat and he gave me loads of gear + advice. I then caught a roach and Andy reacted like I caught a monster carp, will always remember that day, he's got time for anyone, a truly great guy.
I am fishing over 10 years, mostly feeder. I never used clips, but recently i started look into them. This is one of the best lesson on the internet about it.
I am new to method feeder fishing and this has been so helpful and i have realised I have been casting wrong I still caught fish but I've now realised I could of caught more doing it the correct way , Thank you so much means a lot.
Great tips from the experts, thanks so much from Japan ! I'm really enjoying the UK style coarse fishing and all the techniques works really great for our carps :-)
Hi great video thank you, the amout of method feeders I have lost on casting !!!! 1 question if your left handed should you cast over your left or right shoulder ??
Good information thanks. I see that I’m firing off over my right shoulder, next time out deliberately trying over left, waiting to see improvement. Also I struggle with accuracy using under arm feeder cast, is there any info you can post on this.
With it on the clip if you hook a runner and it’s still clipped up what will happen? Will the line still run though the clip? Or do you un clip every time? Cheers
There's some great anglers on UA-cam with some brilliant videos for new anglers like yourself look at Jamie Harrison and Rob wootton their not as funny as jamie andy or rich but they will help you a lot
@@WinningWays ok thanks for the reply. Moving back over to match fishing from the dark side and you fellas are the business for tips and I live in Moston so hopefully see you guys at the Old Hough some time
I always unclip the line and mark it with yellow color marker, if you go for carps and cast far away from the shore you need extra line for the runs. After catching a fish it takes me 1-2 casts to get on the spot again, im still new to feeder fishing and the lake where i fish got big carps and grass carps and they snap my line if i keep it clipped.
Good lesson for me, but i have question for rigs shotting, wich shots you use for 4x10, 4x12, 4x14, 4x16 an 4x18 , is it the same by bulk and strong out sorry for the poor english i am from belgium
ok, this is clear, but what about how to cast when you are sitting on and deep angle down to a water, and you have to use long leader like 1.3meter, and you are very limited how back you can swing, how to cast then ? i mean your leader gona hit ground grass or other obsticle and you can snap it easy :) the only way is to stand up and hold rod very high, and or use 4meter+ longer rods?
Little bit confused about the left shoulder business - is it the feeder and the line to swing over your left shoulder but the rod to stay over your right - I think that needs a little more explanation for someone like me! TIA
Hold on! Now if I clip the line onto the dinky plastic on the reel, I cannot use bait-run feature any more! Most carp anglers are not sitting on a 2K rig, holding a rod with a timer set aside, they are sunbathing and rolling jo. And guess what now? The rod flies into the pond and say good bye to your tackle.

The Ian Beale clip folded me. Hilarious! Quality again fellas

At last boys, a video all about casting. Been waiting for this a long time. Superb information and cleared up a few issues I was having. Many thanks!!

Been struggling with casting on feeder, top lesson 👊cleared up everything needed to know
"Who can't cast now..... " 13:19 😂😂😂😂
I've only just discovered these two and I'm loving very minute. Plus learning new stuff.
Thank you!!!
Hi great video thank you, the amout of method feeders I have lost on casting !!!! 1 question if your left handed should you cast over your left or right shoulder ??
Nice video would of been nice to talk about rod rest position I see some point it at the feeder some to the side what's best?
If you get a big fish though how are you stopping the line snapping. Is it the 3 or 4 turns and the fact they have to swim towards you?
Great video. See so many people casting over the right/wrong shoulder. Cast over left can only go in a straight line to where your pointing 👍
Very useful this to me, that use to pole fishing I forgot how to cast.
Good information thanks. I see that I’m firing off over my right shoulder, next time out deliberately trying over left, waiting to see improvement. Also I struggle with accuracy using under arm feeder cast, is there any info you can post on this.
Really useful info, will make a huge difference to me. Cheers

Always been scared of hitting myself but having watched you Andy I'm gonna have to try casting with the feeder to the left.
Great video lads n love the Ian Beal piss take 🤣🤣🤣👍
Cheers boys this really Gona help , keep up great work , stay safe 😎
In that Slo mo you cast over your right shoulder! :P it’s a revelation!
What happens is a big carp tries to take line and it’s clipped up? Surely you’ll get snapped off?
Love you both so much as a new angler I have learnt so much from you both ❤️

Could leaving it clipped up not become in a issue if a big one takes it? I mean just in case it takes line
Not really a worry when fishing up to a feature. Maybe for big fish in open water but you’ve already got a few turns on the reel so should be ok 👍🏻

Very good another informative and also halirious video 🤔😂😂👍
Ive been casting completely wrong over right shoulder, thanks guys
What reel is that. Has a good clip 👍🏻 cheers lads
It’s a MAP acs mate, use 1 myself , Check them out, Love mine.
Can using the clip damage your line?

I'd say it depends on species roach string out for on bottom bulk above hook link

Ive seen a few fishing with a stiff wrist & floppy rod 😁
Guys what reels do you use for feeder fishing and why?
Most 4000 size reels will do the job for the majority of commercial work, maybe stepping up to something a bit bigger for longer range work.
@@WinningWays are acs line clip really work?
@@shoaibahmed1105 The acs works perfectly for me 👌

Ye rod over the right and feeder over the left shoulder 👍🏻
Depends if your right or left handed but the bomb/feeder always to the inside.
Creating momentum at 5:20 ;)
I’m still doing something wrong. When I’m clipped up and cast, my line is tight when it lands and I have no movement left to tighten up.
The Ian Beale clip dam man you guy's are funny I've got nothing left 😁😆....🎣😭
Did any else notice the flash message at 5.46
😂
I paused it so many times to catch it lol
Lol the Beal bit 🤣
Great content
Do I hear the ghost of Tommy Pickering...'...don't move the feeder...'...I'll still be hearing that when they put me in the ground...
Same again please, but with a feeder and long hook length cheers boys.

I'm always afraid that I will break the tip if I cast it this way

floppy wrist no good to anyone jay!
If your good enough you dont need to use a clip 😉😇
