Ingredients for 4 servings (about 6 oz glasses)
    4 g (2 sheets) gold gelatin sheets
1 cup (237 ml) whipping cream
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1.5 tablespoons (20 g) sugar
    10 g (5 sheets) gold gelatin sheets
2 cups (474 ml) watermelon puree
    1.5 tablespoons (20 g) sugar
    1. Soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water. Heat the cream, sugar and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and remove from heat. Squeeze excess water from gelatin and stir in. Let the cream cool down to room temperature. Transfer to the serving glasses. Chill the cream for 2-4 hours or until firm.
    2. Once the panna cotta is firm, proceed to soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water. Heat the watermelon puree and sugar in a saucepan. Adjust the sugar to your preference (esp if the watermelon juice is not sweet). Bring to a simmer and remove from heat. Squeeze excess water from gelatin and stir in. Let it cool down to room temperature. Transfer to the serving glasses. Chill for 2-4 hours until firm.
    3. Decorate with watermelon pieces and mint (optional).
    4. Serve and enjoy!

Can i use agar-agar powder instead of gelatin? I love watermelon ❤️

I've never try it with agar-agar powder. Panna Cotta is usually with gelatin. However, you may use gelatin powder. Gelatin powder has stronger gelling strength so you need to adjust accordingly.

Looks delicious. I have a question: if I use gelatine powder how many teaspoons or tablespoon gelatine powder for your 5 gold gelatine sheets, please. I like to try but not sure how much powder gelatine to use.

      @JonoSweetTreats  2 роки тому

That is a tough question 😅 Different brands have different strength. I haven't used gelatine powder since my early days of baking... which is a long time ago.. but... I did some research for you.
According to Knox Gelatin website (link below), 1 pouch or 2.5 teaspoons (7 g) is equal to about 5 sheets and will need 2 cups of liquid.
I strongly recommend to test it on water first. And use a bit less if you like the panna cotta to be soft and creamy.

Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

It can be made in advance but store in refrigerator (not freezer). Can last 2 to 3 days.
