What I have always liked the most about this album is that if you don't like a song, it is already almost over. :D
The double edge sword of that is there are probably 20 tracks that would be amazing full length songs (Triple Track anyone?)
Idk i really enjoy the full album
@@aleji0 Yeah, I feel as though I just went on a music store page, sampled from 100 tracks, 80 were God-awful, but 15 of them I'm ready to buy the full songs. And yeah, Triple Track is 1 of those 15.
😂😂😂
What I've always liked about this album is that I love almost every song.
This is like a 90s punk rock time capsule :)
Exactly...if you wanted to indoctrinate a buddy into punk from country let em borrow this lil nug
Ive got probably 30k into albums that aren't worth anything...just to me
I bet when bands got this request from Fat Mike they thought it was dumb and it's kinda obvious some of them blew it off [and some did it in a fun way and it still sounds good!]. But honestly this is probably the best sampler of punk bands I had at the time. I dipped into every band that had a song that sounded good to me and it exposed me to so many more tracks than a normal comp would. 30 seconds is juuuust enough time to get the vibe of the band. Probably one of the smartest things I've seen a label do and it seems like such a dumb idea. Love a good comp! Had a song stuck in my head the last few days so I checked in to make sure it wasn't something from this cd creeping back in. Thanks for sharing!
The fact some were so serious was funny
18 people who disliked this are tall people
i am 1.95M myself. =P
I’m short so.. I don’t really like these song I prefer hardcore punk songs better
I'm tall af and I love it
I’m 6’2.
I’m 6’7 and I’m piss my copy got stolen, I loved this comp,
Haven't listened to this album for probably 12 years and can still sing the start of every track before it starts ;)
+spewdog7 Are you a short person?
Why in the fuck haven't you listened to this album for 12 years?
Same here!
Me too, although I never go more than a year and a half!
It must have been up to almost 20 years now (I know, shame). But yeah, same.
The dance hall crashes song is epic
FUCKING AWESOME. I wish there was like a normal length version of " Triple Track"
It's the only good song they have mind
I still listen to this in my car every now and then to the annoyment of everyone else in the car. They just don't get it.
So why are they still allowed in your car?
Can't imagine why. It's a fantastic record
Wow. Being a punk rocker for most of my life I just discovered this shit today. Fookin amazing!
Better late than never brother
I still come back to this comp just about once a year since I quit using CD’s. Glad I can find this online still. I’ll be back in 2031 for sure
Youre my people...I do the same
Such a fucking classic
+ILCILEVIDEO
x1,000,000 Can't remember how many times I listened to this back in highschool
The Spazz track literally changed me & my friend's life - the day we discovered powerviolence......we would wind up starting a powerviolence band (Stabacadaver), and still is one of my most favorite genres today, almost 25 years later.
Hella cool to read. I lived in CT when this compilation dropped and was on it day one. I live in Gainesville FL now... which is Funny and full circle kinda stuff. I love punk and Less than Jake... they are from here... and song 2.... song 3 is Teen Idols who I LOVED as a 13 year old.... haha. The chick who sang for them lives here and tends bar. And I've seen them as a 30 year old. Teen Idols were one of the first bands to always allow me in for free as a lad. I've met the men of Less than Jake on soo many random occurrences. I lived by their old practice space in my college age and was jogging and heard what I thought were kids covering songs from LTJ so I walked up to the warehouse door and popped it open and it was Chris and the guys going at it. Hahaha. I've made subway sandwiches for Roger 3-4 years ago. Apparently I make a mean sandwich as he came back the next day while my fiancee was there and I made sure to get a pic with him.
That's awesome!
And that's dope that he came back the next day - you must make one bomb ass sandwich! haha
That's one thing I love about the underground music scenes, those folks are usually pretty down-to-Earth.
Dude I just gotta say I looked up stabacadaver and wow that stuff kicks ass!
@@l0nlym1lk17 Thank you so much, man!
We were only a band for a couple years, played only a dozen or so shows (in the Poconos of Pennsylvania.....oh, and one time in Brooklyn), and put out a couple releases - eventually, the drummer (Steve Staba/Evilsteve) put together the "Shitography", our 75 song discography. haha
"Know Your Fucking Role" was one of my personal favorites, which you can find on UA-cam.
Knee high! Argyle! Tube!
Still one of my favorite albums of all time. So many great songs.
This absolutely the top 5 of my favorite albums of all time. Hands down
I just realised what kinda sick compilation this is, after almost 13 Years
I fucking love this album.
Wizo 'The Count' - save the best til last.
Agreed! what a gem
Indeed
I love this album. Had it since it was released.
If I could have only one CD this would be IT
Just ordered this CD. Need to have a physical digital copy. I don’t even own a CD player anymore!
Better get a car with a disc player or install one bro
And for those that may not know CDs can only have up to 99 tracks so track 99 100 101 are all stuck on the 99th track.
Black Flag, White Flag, Anti-Flag - made my day :)
i like how they put all the flags together haha
Sick of it all
No fun at all
All
Unmatched
Insupreable
I think you mean AAAAAAAALLLLLLL
One flag, two flag, black flag, anti flag
That's a Red flag 😂
this is one of the first albums i specifically pulled off my parents' shelf to listen to. i can remember my lil 8 year old bedroom like yesterday.
A friend of mine moved to Philadelphia and put me onto this record.... I think that was in 2000. It's been an important part of my life for over 20 years! Thanks Caroline 😊
Have I not commented yet? This album pissed my metal head brother off to no end for that I love it
Man this brings back memories
I can just about sing every song word-for-word after haven't hearing this album in probably 10 years.
Got this when it was first released. Loved the old comps $5 and got a bunch of good punk music or un released stuff. Wish they bring them back fat epitaph cinema beer belly lookout and nitro
This the BEST album ever.
This was such a cool comp! Offspring, Dance Hall Crashers, & Blink 182 were my favorites (all the Corny pop punk bands turned out to be my favorites).
Best album ever. Hah. Bought the cd 12-13 years ago. Dang time flew.
This was such a brilliant idea and the bands and songs are on point. I'd say I wish for a repeat, but it would fall flat I'd assume, lighting in a bottle and all.
such a classic...i remember everything here...
Que increíble compilado 😎🤘💪
so classic. the comp that started it all for me
Im glad bro...every good band on this album and under alot of different labels
oh man. memories.
can you imagine if Shine on You Crazy Diamond had to be only 30 seconds?
MOD or SOD would have done it
Short music for short people 2 please!!
Artur Mir Reyes I read that it was in the pipeline but fatmike is sober and skinny at the moment ;) ....no lol I heard it was going to be recorded but a lot of bands pulled out at the last minute ;(
if they're really struggling, i'm sure Circle of Rage would oblige....;)
Fucking Ezra from the start of the day is going to be a good day I get home from work to record a video somewhere else if you have any questions or need any further information please login to your mom's when I was wondering if you have any pics of the truck and trailer for his birthday girl
The songs will be 10 seconds now with people's attn spans
Album so good, it gets stolen from you twice.
Same story with me, lol.
Mel D omg so Fucking true third time lucky yet my third copy got melted by crack rock
Man dont you just hate it when you accidentally melt CDs with crack rock
Sucks to hear...ive had alot of albums stolen from me....20-30$/not an easy pill to chew
Yep. Actually stolen 3 times. Or 1was borrowed but if its borrowed and never given back... basically the same thing
This takes me waaaaaaaaaay back.
this was such a big part of 8/9 grade for me. i'm going to get my bmx bike from my parents garage as soon as i finish this.
best songs are by the lunachicks and the dwarves. lunachicks first, they really killed it. a drum break and a guitar solo all in their 30 second song. astounding. perfection
Lunachicks in general are a very underrated band. Luxury Problems is a banger from A to B
@@TheAnonymousBosch hell yeah, i love all their albums. and they're still killin it, i saw em live twice this year and they ruled😎
I still cant get over the fact they put a SPAZZ song on this album. considering this is all pop punk xD
Most of it is "Pop punk", I hate most Pop punk! And most of spazz songs are short like that. They should have put schlong on this album and Minor threat isn't Doom on this album also kinda crazy too. Also citizen fish being on this album is odd considering
So many iconic stuff in here!!!!
I bought this album in a little store in Spain, I think it was in Pamplona. Such a great compilation!
Greatest compilation ever
Thanksfor sharing the album. I own the CD, but let's be real, who owns a CD player these days. Thanks Fat Mike!
So many good memories
Thank you for putting this here. It makes 17 year old me very happy
Greatest compilation ever!!!
this album rules
I haven't thought about this in year's still good
Some AMAZING bands on this
Holy hell, that Living End track does not mess around!
This album is so good. I love it.
Thanks for the upload 😊
"LiL'JpD."
So good!
great LP, like it
The fact that SPAZZ is on this makes me so happy lol.
lol! Is this like the only song they ever recorded?
So many favorite songs on This album.
Man, the Green Day one is just beautiful.
like the lamest song on the album tbh but ok
@@horseman8016 didn’t ask you actually
@@horseman8016 shut up lame
Never thought I’d see my favorites in a comp together from strung out no use Green Day and lagwagon that’s pretty fuckin cool
I don't always listen to 30 second songs but when I do, it's for an hour. 😁
amazing, period
Well done short fast and mad like I like it!!!
still great almost 20 years later
ugh this album is so goddamn good
yesss!
Quite possibly, err, probably the only CD owned, I bought shortly after release that actually appreciated in value
SPAZZ!!!
Yeah!eradication of a generic pop punk
pasan los año y la considero la mejor recopilación
Gran complicación me trajo buenas memorias.
Why does this have any unlikes at all? Did people click on this expecting not the entire album? Perhaps they thought it would be songs about midgets?
Probably tall people
This was, and is, an amazing record. Most compilation records have "hits" from the bands, to lure you into buy the album. Which is fine. But this is different. 30 seconds, originals. You have to KNOW the band first. Because it's so short. At the same time every song is so good, because it perfectly shows the best points/style of each band. Whether you like Bad religion "OHHHHH-AHHH" , AFI screams, frenzel rhomb or guttermouth nonsense, snuff uk gibberish, its all there. Even the big bands perform wel (except for blink, I thought their song was a cop out). So hard to pick a winner, but I'm going to go Ataris. Usually not a fan of them At All. But their song is epic, fully catchy punk sound, and refers back to another song of theirs, which is nice.
Im a big fan from brazil hxcx in the vein
Still waiting for Volume 2
I love that the Frenzals got #69. Because OF COURSE the Frenzals got 69.
"Anchor"
This one goes out to the kids
who drove 6 hours in a stolen car,
then missed the show.
This one goes out to never
losing sight of all the
"how it's been" and "how it was."
Here's to just sinking the ship
and not giving a shit.
Here's to sinking fast
with everyone else.
This one goes out to another
night with no sleep,
Crimpshrine records and
Gainesville streets
This one goes out to Mike,
Var, Mike and Tony,
All, Snuff, Jon, Terri,
Shaun, and Andre.
Thank You
Anybody else think it's amazing these bands say more in 30 seconds than a lot of bands say throughout their entire careers.
I rise to 64” and still shrinking as I age so this album only gets better over time. Duh
2021 baby!
101 bands is the most diverse singular punk band to exist inside the interplanetary bubble of brainwashed mass existence. Fact check yourself you heard it here first 1st best band in the world!!!

joe, i understand you!
Feels weird listening to music that came out when I was only few months old. Haha. Gosh I missed out on so many bands :/
I love snuff’s song near the end, it goes hard man
Sos un grande loco
Shit my pants when I heard this last year. Still doo.
I always thought that Dead Kennedys - Short Songs was on this comp......but alas
I was a teenager in the 90s. Growing up, I had to deal with a lot of people who would tell me that all punk music sounds the same. If they said it one too many times, I'd tie them down and force them to listen to this album all the way through. Then I'd inform them that this was solely 1990s style SoCal influenced punk and there were many other styles of punk not represented. There was the unspoken threat of "If you say all punk sounds alike again, I'll repeat this but you'll have a concussion while listening while I add Exploited, Crass, GHB, Adicts, and Dead Kennedys to the playlist" rather strongly implied.
I bet all those people are still your friends
How about the Stza line?
Choking Victim, Leftover Crack, Morning Glory, Star Fucking Hipsters....
