LISTEN TO SHOWMETHEBODY THEY ARE A NEW PUNK BAND OR TURNSTILE, im 17 btw
my father just past away on the1st of december 2023, just had the funeral, it was small as his wishes(he was 87)also a good father, never questioned my angst or listening to minor threat etc, and other discord bands, most of his family is miles away etc, i'm about 50, i now need shouting music and angst in my life more than ever, i'm sure there are lots of you also that do also, love anyone listening to this, now, or yesterday or whatever day it is in the future, even though that would be today to you....good luck to you....
My condolences to you ❤
Oh my God!!! This punk angel that I just met about a year ago pulled me back into the scene after about 40 years. I’ll be 60 in August. And like you now I need this music in my life. I go to tons of shows. In a band, blunt force karma, for one song whenever I see them. this is definitely the good shit 💩
PS, my condolences on the passing of the old man. I know how that feels brother. Get into the music and if you can get in the pit.🔥🤘🏽🖕🏽💯
I remember the first time I ever heard minor threat. It was like a light switch went off in my brain... and I never wanna go back

GODDAMN RIGHT.
I met Ian when I was 20. Best hug ever, at the point in my life I needed it most.
It's nice to get credit cards ads between 2 songs of total rebellion.
.....ad block
If you don't want a credit card then don't get one. I don't see how anyone can blame a credit card for anything

Like Ian says, if you don't want to pay for music you are going to get music with ads.

I was 13 and this the first hardcore band I heard back in spring of 1991. I listened to thrash and death metal at the time. I was blown away by the straight forward simplicity of hardcore. It was fast, loud, and to the point without all the boring solos, and rockstar shit in metal. Been into it ever since.
Thrash and death metal was heavily influenced by hardcore.
@@chuy8356
Yeah that's correct. They took it a step back.
Mmh.. I guess sometimes I just can't understand other people's opinions.
Since 1983 for me...hardcore punk rock that is.
Same. I was just having a conversation about my experience (same as yours) yesterday
I remember being in middle skool...when I first heard Punk Rock music (I was 13 it was 1982?) in the basement of one of my friends drinking homemade wine. Minor threat, Scum Fucks, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag. Gawd I miss being angry at my parents

+leslie shackelton You ungrateful piece of shit!
Lived with them for a short time in '82. I have nothing but respect for these guys, both as a band and as human beings.
46 now and these guys got me through high school hehe. DRI, dead Kennedy's, suicidal tendencies, it was great being a teenager.
My 1st show was d.r.i. at call the office in london ont. 1990 i believe
I'm from Houston so I was fortunate enough to see DRI often. Late 80's early '90's hard core scene in Houston was insane with DRI, Dead Horse, and Sprawl amongst others.

I still love it..since the 80's.. great hc
This is my taste of music. Nowadays music has become bad, ok, I’m 18 years old, but still I prefer 1960’s - 2000’s music. It’s sad that I didn’t get that time when this was new but I can imagine that time, drinking with friends, playing guitar, smoking cigs and weed, and listening to punk, hardcore, grunge (Nirvana) and thrash.

Word
When I bought the exact 7" of this in 1984... it changed my life. I'm still blasting. Loud and Proud to be Punk/Hardcore!

Minor Threat is one of those bands you bing on. From the moment you hear it for the first time you just can't stop. I remember I was waiting to get outside and put them on full volume and just walk, full speed, aggressively. Since the very first 5 seconds I'm their fan for life.

One of the best Hardcore bands of all time.
My early days of youth in the mid 90's skating and sitting alone in my room with this on full blast. I still remember my dad coming in and saying turn it up louder I haven't heard this since I was about your age. Damn MT still sounds good I haven't givin up and I'm still out of step punk is garbage nowadays so watered down and trendy makes me miss the old days...

gonna have to go ahead and dislike the cleaning product ad before this
and like this
+joanie I can't turn off the ads because my channel has a copyright strike
+XStevexLOxFIxIrwinX .AdBlock works a treat. Nothing gets through.
You need to here this and other punk/hardcore without breaks.
this is a large inconvenience
punx and music collectives spend a very large portion of donations on cleaning supplies as it is
If the content is found to be a known copyright, UA-cam lets the video stay up but money from the ads goes to the copyright holder.
LOVED MINOR THREAT!!! I listened to this as a kid while shredding my skateboard and in Deep Ellum in downtown Dallas! Ian Mackaye fucking Rocked with Fugazi too!
This is a fucking masterpiece. Period.
Silver Star Winner #70. They say without evil, good couldn't exist, but the guy who introduced me to this album ended up in prison for murder. I was very young at the time. I never saw or heard from that guy ever again, but despite that shit, I loved this album from the start. It was one of the first punk/hardcore albums I started off with. I just had a bad feeling about that dude. He was sort of unhinged before that bad shit went down. I still love the Hits "Filler", "I don't wanna hear it", and " Minor Threat", which is the theme song. Before I go, I guess I must say I am still here, and I never wanna see that guy again. I never want him at my house. I don't even wanna state this person's name, but I'll always love Minor Threat. I just don't like what that guy did, but I cannot fix the past. It's too late for that idiot, but at least there's hope for me. Once again before I go, I've been very sick once again. That's why I haven't been around for a while. Please, enjoy this album all who can who still have their freedom and dedication. Goodnight. I don't know when I'll be back next time. I may have to work with family for a while. Take it easy, y'all.

Growing up in NoVa in the late 1970s I was unbelievably lucky as the 12 people I knew from Feb 79 to late 1980 worked at ice cream shops, were radio djs, record store clerks.
I saw slam dancing invented.
Happened 10 feet in front of me in a crowd of 15.
Saw MT before they released a single. BB 1980.
Fugazi, Scream, MT, MM, GM, IC, Georgetown Punks - these were just fellow teens who liked "different" music.
Out of that group came Black Flag, Discord Records, MT, Fugazi, Scream, The Foo Fighters, Henry Rollins...and Nirvana and all of 90s Rock.
From a group of fewer than 15 teenagers. And I got to see it.
If you are young (12 to 20) and are reading this in the year 2079, heed my words.
Do what you want. NOW. No matter if every other person in high school tells you not to (2400 against 1 as I experienced). You only get one chance at this and only one youth to live.
I am in my 60s now and remember what we did with immense pride joy and satisfaction. Be a part of something bigger than yourself.
I will die with a smile as I look back and point and say;
"Look at what we did. LOOK. Few ever get to be a part of something that great, relevant and lasting."
Great stuff...gets this old punk thrashing again...love it!
We start as Minors. We grow and discover we are a Minority. Regardless of the b.s. we are a Good Threat that Questions the Majority's Indoctrination.
Be Humble (Minor)
Be Active (Threat)
And if the music wasn't enough to Motivate - ne'er stay still.
