Congratulations! Great video and thank you for sharing it! I’m 56, on the schedule for my check ride in three weeks. And my wife will be my first passenger as well. She has been my biggest supporter in this endeavor and I can’t wait to take her for a ride and share it with her.
@21:10 - @21:18 "that's really all we need" - No it isn't. Think of the ATIS as tower instructions. Listen to the whole thing and if you miss something, listen again. Write it down as if you will be required to read it back. Then, when you claim "with Sierra", you have actually complied with the regulations. Otherwise, it is technically a violation. More to the point, there may be last-minute changes in the weather or airport status that you should be aware of for safe operation of your aircraft. So no shortcuts, because your ass is literally on the line. @21:41 "That way they know if you listen to it or not." That way they know that you have the latest information, and that way you know that the information has changed if you have previously listened to the broadcast.

Great to take family up first. Taking my brother up soon!
How do you record the audio?
It's called "NFlightcam" audio adapter. Just plug your headset audio cable into it, then plug it in to the jack. Very easy.
