I just happened upon your channel and enjoyed your video. I have been retired for 13 years now after spending thirty-four years working. I spent many years based in DFW. I do not miss the job at all!! I made some great friends; about five of us remain in touch. I enjoyed the layovers. The different cultures, customs, folkways, and mores were always interesting. I enjoyed the LHR layovers. People all over the world were shocked on 9/11. It changed our work life forever. I was on a layover in MAN, Manchester, UK. I live by two thoughts and share them with others when appropriate. !."Look back but do not stare." Secondly, "There are no deadlines on dreams." Be well, my friend.

The issue is London is more than half non British born and has many tourists, I think we instinctively walk on the side of the path that people drive on (being a Londoner that lives in mainland Europe) and people don’t do this consciously.
So I think this messes up people who grow up in London because half the people naturally want to walk on the right so we never get this subconscious habit. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. LHR is higher credit/total pay from DFW than JFK

I hope you’re not tempting fate by saying you hope you don’t have any more flights lol. Love your videos.

Is that common? Or you are overdue to be captain? Or the captain was promoted very early?

They are more senior but I’ve been on the 777 longer is all. I could have been a narrow body Captain for years. I don’t want to take the quality of life hit.
