It’s so cute! I am currently enjoying the stub nib I switched, but have many nib options. That, and inks, are what makes fountain pens so enjoyable. I hope you are able to find one for purchase. Thanks for watching. 🖋❤️
I get the no time thing. I have 4 Opus 88 Mini’s I filmed unboxings for and haven’t have time to edit. I love those Mini’s. If I was a coffee drinker I would have that one too. I love it!
@@MarcellHobbs I do apologise Marcy, I didn’t realise there was one called Coffee Date, I must have missed that. Just think you could do a whole video on Coffee inspired/named inks :)
A funny thing: sometimes (2 x’s now)I’ve stuck my opus nib in the ink, and twisted the valve up and down numerous times and wondered why it wasn’t filling.🤔THEN I remembered it was a dropper filler pen. I was really glad no one was watching me! 🙄 😃Obviously, it is my first Opus 88. I am really loving the writing with it. Mine is also a Broad nib.
How's that "no spend for the rest of the year" going? 😉When I tried a long term no spend, I lasted a month. Of course, I made up for it in the month following. Sigh... Anyway...as for posting this pen...if the valve has to be opened for the pen to work, and it only posts well when the valve is closed, it sounds like you can't post it while you're writing. Looks like it fit your hand pretty well though. I don't own any Opus pens and I've been hesitant because they are so "girthy". Was it comfortable? I LOVE the coffee theme for this one. I am all about coffee!
😂 No spend hasn’t went well. It’s the thought that counts😂 You would be proud if you knew how many I turned down 👏🏼. You can write with the valve closed, but will need to open if the feed runs dry. I brought it to work with me today and I absolutely love it! I’m so glad I purchased it. I’ve been using the TWSBI mini so the girth wasn’t a drastic change. I have the uncanny ability to enjoy all nib sizes, pen length, and pen weight. 🖋️❤️
That‘s a nice pen with the coffee theme… I have the striped Mini from Opus 88 - they are such cute little pens. :) I received my first Noodler‘s inks yesterday and was almost shocked at how full the bottles were. I was afraid to put the nib of my pen inside to fill it (piston filler) because I thought it might overflow… didn‘t happen though… :)
Oh my! When I took the lid off of my Noodler’s bottle I had to clean the rim because ink was all over my fingers! I could see how dipping the nib would cause an overflow. I’m so glad it didn’t spill out when you filled! I wasn’t really searching for an Opus 88, but that coffee theme just got me. I already have my first cup in my hand this morning. I really enjoy the way it writes. I used it in my Hobonichi journal last evening. The ink really performed well. Beautiful shading and it dried quickly. Perfect color for Fall. I think I’ll take it to work with me today just for fun! Enjoy your pen and thanks for watching!
@@MarcellHobbs I actually just bought another Opus 88 this morning at Stilo&Stile in Italy - the Bela in green… and with it another Noodler‘s ink because I thought it would go well with the pen (Army Green) and because you can never have enough green ink… :D It will be my 4th Opus 88 - I also have the Omar Demonstrator and the Koloro in blue. ❤️ Have a great day !
Wow! I have seen the Omar and Koloro and may order later. I love demonstrator pens because I can change the color of the pen by changing the ink, but I too buy inks and pens to match. It makes the hobby fun!! Enjoy your lovely pens! 🖋️❤️
I did try that before standing vertical in jar. I’m so used to converter or piston fill pens. It will take some getting used to for sure. Thanks for helping me!
Thanks for the tip! I did try that and only water came out on my first test lines, but eventually the ink flowed. I do appreciate you for helping. 🖋🖋Happy writing!
I want this pen so bad!

oh my goodness. As a Starbucks barista for over a decade going strong, I may have to start saving to eventually add this to my collection one day :0
It would absolutely be a fun pen for you to have! ☕️🧋🖋

Cute pen! I have that Robert Oster Caffe Crema ink on my wishlist :) Have a lovely evening Marcy!
This ink was Coffee Date. I do have a sample of the Caffe Crema that I haven’t swatched yet, but coming soon! Good evening! 🖋️❣️

No apologies needed! The names are similar! That’s a wonderful idea!

😂 I could see myself doing that! It just seems natural to twist the knob and fill the barrel. Thanks for sharing the humor!
😊
I have the same pen using it right now at work.
I brought mine to work today as well! It’s so stinkin’ cute! 🖋️☕️

Beautiful pen on my opus I wet the nib a tad so it can start working
