The ‘Pre-Transient’ Trick For Harder-Hitting Drums
Вставка

- Here's how to give kicks, snares and one-shot drums more punch and impact. Use layers of clicks, white noise, reversed percussion and other sounds to create 'pre-transients' that lead into the main hit.

Every video I watch I learn something so painfully simple that always makes me feel like I actually have no idea what I’m doing
Same here haha
Me too 😂
Couldn’t have said it any better
Relatable 😂
if youre making music you really dont
this man carries the whole music industry
Exactly bro 💯
Ok. Seriously the best channel for tips. Why are all these so not shared elsewhere? These are like real "pro secrets"
Most "tips" channels are teaching tips that will bring more problems than solution. I see so many of those shorts that are just stupid, advising younger producer to do stuff that will fuck up your phase, make it harder to mixdown, etc. This is great, straight to the point cause that dude clearly knows the ins and out of the whole process of production
@@wav_909well said honestly. but yeah thank you cableguys. u guys kill it with your products and social media
most of the tips I get on youtube shorts are like "did you know... there are different kinds of chords to make 🤯" and really really basic stuff
Probably one of the best channels for shorts on music production tips on this whole site. This is always insanely good
This man single-handedly possesses the knowledge to dissect and vaporize every top tier artist out there.
This is a very good tip. Another way to do this is to use something like split eq and turn the transient shaping tool down. Then add a compressor with a fast attack and release with the threshold turned down to about - 25db adjust the gain to about 15db and that's the one...
This is something I do by default
It is now

This is hands down the best producing/audio engineering shorts channel
Too kind, thanks!
It's amazing how a tiny little sound make our brains think it's harder sounding❤
Thanks for the technique buddy
this is golden
Nice! Doing this with snares for forever but not with kicks...until NOW!
Never thought to do this with the kicks!
You have the most helpful videos / knowledge. So grateful ! Would love to see one day A interview with you and all about u . Pardon the people like me who may not be familiar with how you became this smart and good at music . Love ya though brother just love ya for all the life changing information. I look forward to your tutorials and videos daily . 🙏🏻🤜🤛
Now this is a nice trick I didnt knew
This channel is like a pot of huge golden pills.
Please keep the pharma opened!
Thank you! I suck at drums and using fl studio but this is helpful even for a noob like me.
No problem, keep at it! 💪
You should make a 1 hour mix of your tips ‘n tricks🤗 definitely watchable
this is a good one, know a few people who would be upset sharing this lol
Another neat trick, added to the list ! 👌
Enjoy!
You always impress us with great ideas
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice tricks. Thanks for your tips or tricks in général
i must try
Yeah this is gold
the whip effect
The tascam 388 plugin already has this effect
This is awesome!
Thank you!
Гениально. Спасибо ❤
That earns a sub
Thx
Is this how drill producers make the kicks on drops hit harder?
Fire
Holy Molly thanks ❤❤❤
Could you use this with compression to reduce the transient of percussion without needing to use lookahead or an attack so fast it distorts the signal?
🔥 fuego
THX , and is there a full song with that FAT Beat at the end ?
Great trick !!
But is there a more practical way to do this if you use the drum rack? Seems a little tedious
Mmm ... nice!
👏
Yass
What “piece” of the white noise is the best to cut for using this tip?
is this effect also used in the kick of ransom by lil tecca?
gah damn
!!!!😊
Thats pretty good, do they do this in DnB tunes?
Yeah, you hear it a lot in EDM and bass music.
Electro Flam
Yeah, but it looks like the the mix with the fx is actually louder, too
It's not.
yooooooooooooo
It's making a digital pocket of air
I completely disagree actually O_o
I think the transient is actually more prominent without the sweep cluttering everything up; you should leave some prefade before the transient to differentiate between the sweep and the hit
And you shouldn’t do it on every snare, it very quickly becomes fatiguing and takes up too much headroom lol
I just reverse the kick itself 😅😂
Perturbator must’ve seen this 😭
Or Just reverse the kick before kick
yoo I knew there was something fishy
This is talked before here 😭
Yep!
i'd rather not program drums as individual samples... that seems insanely tedious
or just make real music, and play the drums properly
This is real music genius
This sounds so good 😂❤oracle369
