Big boy! Thanks, I had several more MFJ toys, but I didn’t get around to getting them out, I was way too hot to be playing around lol.
Nice setup JB, I like that app for the 705 not that I have purchased it yet.
First time I used it direct phone to 705 like that. Worked fairly well, especially allowing me to go back into the AC lol.
Looks like a great setup, JB! I'm getting pretty tempted to buy that app to use with my 705.
Since I haven’t dedicated a laptop to being with me, I would not have been able to run FT8 , QRM is pretty heavy here in the campground so voice contacts were extremely hard. Heck I even tried some CW with it.
Puppers add 6db.

Nice, I just setup the SDR Control apps for my 705 over the weekend. I still need to play with them some more, but I was able to make some FT8/FT4 contacts and use them on a repeater too.
Comes in handy. I learned this weekend that I can just use my 705 hand mic as a PTT and my phone as the actual mic while I was connected direct by the 705 WiFi.
