- THE WAY HUGE SWOLLEN PICKLE FUZZ
www.jimdunlop.c...
The most sought after and corpulent Way Huge pedals is back! The Swollen Pickle MkII surrenders super high-gain fuzz with copious amounts of smooth low-end to all who dare plug into it. With a twist of the Sustain control, you're taken from mild crunch to Armageddon! The Filter control retains its trademark insane range of heavily band-pass-filtered tones, distinguished by remarkable girth and sizzle, and the Loudness puts out enough volume to clobber any amp! Newly added features include a tone stack Scoop control that elicits classic Swollen Pickle mid-scoop or a flat mid-frequency sweep, and a Crunch knob to adjust the compression intensity of the fuzz. Finally, under the hood, the Swollen Pickle MkII has two internal mini controls; Voice sets the intensity of the external scoop control from light to heavy mid cut, and Clip varies between two sets of clipping diodes for smooth or opened fuzz sustain.

Can we talk about the killer production value? Holy shit guys...
this is hands down, THE BEST pedal demo video I've ever seen. he did what i always want to do out the gate. HIT A NOTE AND TURN EACH KNOB!!! Stunning visuals, direction was amazing I'M GIVING YOUR REVIEW 5 OUT OF 5 STARS!
This is as good as a 3min pedal demo can be.
I never thought I'd see a pedal demo where I could see Tarantino and Guy Ritchie influences. Somebody's been to film school!
This is a near perfect advertisement. I want one now.
I bought one. It's fun.
Did you ever get one?
I agree.
I just got mine in the mail today, plugged it straight in - it's completely badass. So much bottom end, just insanity. Great, great fuzz pedal!
This is absolutely one of the best gear demos I've ever seen and I can't believe it's 10 years old! I hope to make something THIS cool one day.
These new Dunlop demos are arguably the best. Great camera work, great playing, and they show every aspect of the pedals. Amazing.
so glad i bought this beast!
i want to live in that room
one word, GRUNGE!
ive watch alot of videos today on pedals and this vid makes me want that pedal
that's what they want... it made me buy one too haha
I love this pedal, and I use it on my studio board for that crispy, gritty, sizzling tone. If only it was possible the components could fit in a mini version, I’d place on my gig board.
Superb demo vid !!
Holy balls. That's how you make a video.
Had this pedal for a few years and it's a great way to beef up a kick drum when making some acid house.
Very cool vintage fuzz. Tough to find one now a days.
This is the first demo I've heard of the Swollen Pickle I've actually liked the sound of.
Awesome demo! That's how it's done. I definitely want this thing now.
I have to disagree. I mean, for a fuzz pedal, nearly every setting on this pedal is usable, and I think that's what i really like about it. You could switch up the knobs whatever way you like and make a noise and you could do something with it.
test without a humbucker is not test.
Anyway. Good presentation.
Best demo ever!
I can't even play guitar and this demo made me consider buy it.
So... Swollen Picked is my second favorite fuzz... So many tonal options.
First?
@@shckltnebay I think he nodded off in the middle of his post and accidentally hit send as his face hit the keyboard 😁
Nice job guys, I'm sold
Hmm, yeah was gonna get an MXR or FF, but the versatility on this thing is crazy. Sold, I think...
Take my money! I want one now. Also as the others said great production.
I am the proud owner of one of these, and the Green Rhino. Amazeballs, that's all I've got to say.
whoa. very cool vibe.
I bought it because of the name.
Hell, I want this badly.
The more it sounds broken, the more I like it.
Sounds awesome..
Just bought one. Can't wait to hear how it sounds with my AC30 and strat.
Chris Jimenez how is it?
Marveh -Lots of knobs, so it took quite a while to figure everything out.
-Has more fuzz than I know what to do with(which is a good thing I guess).
-Extremely versatile. From crunchy lead tones to bass-heavy uncontrollable fuzz.
I'm completely satisfied with it.
i think they also have to use other types of pick ups like the humbuckers emg's and p90 so you can here the difrents between the pickups with this effect.
I think for an extreme punk/lo-fi kinda fuzz, nothing can beat the fat fuzz factory from Z-Vex. But for a vintage kinda Hendrix-meats-Neil Young sound, this pedal kicks ass!
You guys do pedal demos right - all playing and demonstrating and NO DAMN TALKING
Warning, watching new Dunlop demos may cause eargasms.
Great sound :O
sounds like jack white's tone
Love your Videos Cheers!!
What a FUCKINGAYE FUZZ!!!!
The Fuzz Face based pedals seems warmer though.
How can I learn this riff?
Sold me at 1:29
you guys can have the pedal -- I want the workshop
That's how to demo!
I want that tone that he gets at 1:30.. but can't seem to dial it in on mine.
skippyskatestuff You're probably using a different guitar and amp than in this video.
+skippyskatestuff You're right. That is a gnarly tone! Especially the riff at around 1:55! Fits perfectly! Just bought one today and I'll be trying to find that sound, too. Did you ever figure it out?
+GeetarAdam I could never get it haha. so I sold it and bought a fuzz factory!
I want that Bruce lee figure at 2:06! Where can I get one?!
All well and good when you have a Rolling Stones inspired Ampeg Amp, with a 82 reissue Strat and two expensive mics like a Royer 101 and a Telefunken. All that production value to record a pedal that fuzzes things up. Might just go stack a BiMuffPi. Real Rock Stars on the 'Rock n Dole' please move aside for the rich kids in their Daddy's basement. CU29's Next Tuesday
What.
Whats the song at 2:22 !?? Its driving me nuts. I know that song somewhere
can this pedal clean up moderately well? for chords mainly...
I reeeally want to learn to play like this! How can one do so?
Want to love it so bad but it sounds a bit computery or transistorized... Not sure about it.
killer
Where can I obtain a pedal stand like that? lol
Inspired by Thunderbird 2.
i was pretty sure the best fuzz on the market today was the Blackarts Pharaoh... now i know i was wrong.
This is what Moog tries to do with its videos....way way ahead of the curve....phew
when 1:28 kicks in.......>>>>>>>>>>
1:15 FOUCkkk
'72 VT22? fuck year
It sounds like very old sovtek muff
nope....
Can I get j mascis tones from this?
As long as it's going into a big tube amp (preferable something 'British' voiced) then yes!
#jimdunlop
I never thought i'd say it until i got this pedal but it has too many options.
and that is a negative.
There is only one Fuzz better than this one, and it is between a chics legs!
Hey..
Pathetic, Wanna Be Guitarist Here..
Tabs Of What You Play?
after he started twisting the knobs the tone just went to shit. too much of a good thing is a bad thing especially with pedals
you're right, all our effects should only have 1 o clock and 2 o clock positions so we never have any options and you wont have to worry about accidentally changing any parameters and, god forbid, make a different kind of sound
kaleb saffelder lol damn i didn't think i was being hostile sorry
