I generally really enjoy these shorter games that cut out all the bloat and bs, and just deliver a lean clean experience. I'm looking forward to giving this a little whirl.
That was really my problem with Ghost of Tsushima. There’s so much bloat in that game that I got tired of playing it even though I was initially enjoying myself.
Trip to Yoma looks like the game I wish Ghosts was.

Let me just say that Skill ups review of the gameplay is really understated in my opinion. I literally thought my game was broken for the first twenty minutes and almost reinstalled it. Combat is beyond horrible and IMO it's pretty unenjoyable.
@@csafko1 right. I was wondering about that. I personally think anything else this game excels at cannot save this game from it's terrible combat. That means 20 usd for 3 hours of terrible experience.

I'm not particularly interested in the game itself, but I still watched the whole video just because of the reasons you mentioned.
I mean, I think I've watched every SU video completely since I found the channel... 2 years ago? But this one is among the best no doubt

I’m constantly amazed by how you express your opinions in ways that reflect all the complexities of a game whilst making them so natural to listen to and understand. I see you as less of a reviewer of games, and more of a translator, giving us a feel of what the game made you feel in bite size form, and that’s the most helpful thing when deciding if a game’s for me.

I appreciate your use of tactical pauses during the actual voice-over of the script throughout the review. It was a nice use of speech as a method to emulate the visual reference you used of the personal projector. I liked how you would deliver several thoughts on a specific element, pause to let the message sit in the listeners mind and then show the audience an aspect of gameplay relating to those previous statements.

Another amazing review, the editing and the narration are on point, I was waiting for this game mostly for the feeling and aesthetics, I'm glad it does well on that. I can be forgiven in the gameplay if the other aspects are handle properly.

The game turned out exactly how I thought it would. The trailers focused so much on the aesthetic and skimped over the gameplay. I've got a shitton of games to play right now. I think I'll get this when it's half off. I have plenty of art games. I haven't finished Sable, and I bought Gris awhile back considering those were mentioned.
Been playing on Game Pass. It really does look amazing but the gameplay is horrible.

I’m very very excited for this one, had it pre loaded via game pass for about a week now.
I know that this will be a pretentious statement but something I love about SkillUp's reviews is that they aren't just some guy talking for 20 minutes, they try to be as artistically poignant and meaningful as they games they discuss and critique.
A part of me really appreciates that; video games, even the most worthless ones, represent a culmination of effort and hard work that often gets brushed over, and the beautiful thing about Skill Up's reviews is that they often feel like they are trying to respect that effort and care. And I think this philosophy towards criticism shines brightest when he talks about games like this; relatively small games with their own artistic niche and identity, but still deserve to make waves and have a cultural impact.
Absolute solid review and video. Really commend you guys for your hard work :)

The quality of your reviews is honestly a little crazy to me. I feel like you just keep getting better and better. Most review channels are formulaic. Yet I feel with your channel you tend to bend your methodology around each game reviewed. If that makes sense? Just like you will make small tweaks and stylistic flourishes to fit the game being reviewed. And sometimes a complete change of inflection.
I freaking love these video intros.. One of my favourites being the review of Kingdom Come Deliverance.. Great job all the same dude.

I do not know what it is about your reviews, but I always really love them. Even when I disagree when it comes to the game you are review that I have played. I think there were one or two of them that I disagreed with, but I can not remember which ones they were. But I think that is the best part. Your review's are your experiences with the game you are playing, and does not ever com across as super harsh, or making me feel bad about liking something that you don't.....
