Thank you for sharing this technique & yes I can see a big difference 😍 I always hated the gap that the chain 3 turning chain left, especially when the pattern skips the first stitch because it definitely leaves a big gap. I use a lot of 4 weight yarn & wonder if this technique would be the same or if I’d need to chain 3 at the beginning & if so would this work for that & which chain or chains should I use to pull up first loops? Also will this technique work with treble crochet & how? Thank you so very much for all your awesome tutorials Nora❣️ 🙋🏻♀️🦋🫶🏻
Yes definitely it works with any yarn. If you need a treble for the beginning I will do you the tutorial for that too! But it’s quite simple. Chain 3, then pick up a loop from the 2nd chain and 3rd and then the base stitch. Which gives you 4 loops so you then ofcourse pull through 2 three times. ❤
@@CrochetByNora Awesome thanx for letting me know that it works the same with 4 weight & how to do it with a treble. I’m working on an afghan that calls for a lot of trebles (which are not my favorite stitch at all because of all the gaps & holes that trebles make) so thank you for letting me know how to do it & no need for a tutorial because I understand you perfectly❣️ Appreciate you very much.
Love this! Thank you!
You are so welcome!

Thank you! You too!
Thank you so much for this . I have been struggling with the double crochet stitch in an Afghan I've been making. The problem is solved.❤😊
Glad I could help!
