  • On our last 2 days of Byaheng Maguindanao, we got the chance of visiting some of the hidden gems of the Bangsamoro.
We started our exploration with a visit to Al Jameelah Weaving Center in Datu Odin Sinsuot where we got the chance to witness how the intricate hand-woven inawl fabric are made.
We then drove next to the municipality of Upi, which at high elevation is considered as the Summer Capital of Maguindanao. In Upi, we were able to watch the traditional dances of the Teduray, taste some of the local food and delicacies, and trek to the breath-taking Ranao Pilayan Falls.
We returned to Cotabato City and visited one of the grandest mosques in Mindanao, the Grand Mosque or thethe Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque.
While in Cotabato City, we also got the chance to visit the Tamontaka Church, the Barter Center, the old City Hall, the city plaza, the old downtown, and the Kutawato Cave, where the name of Cotabato was derived.
