OMG Thanks. I heard "watch out for the rock" before every single dive last week because I would always drift around while trying to put my fins on or take them off. I bought the bungee straps to replace the ABS system as soon as I got home, and couldn't for the life of me get the old straps off. This video helped a lot! (Also thanks for the note about the system not being proprietary. I may want to go with actual metal spring straps next time I replace the new bungee ones)
I've bought 2PCS Scuba Diving Stainless Steel Spring Fin Straps Diver Heel Straps gear on Aliexpress, someone had it fitted on Quattro fins, I own the Volo power and if I use the technique shown in this video the position is ackward! So I had to turn the metal piece to cut the notch to have it properly fitted. Awesome video thanks!

He coughed in the video and I thought he had COVID-19. Then I looked at the date and realized he was safe... wow... the good old days. On a side note: Thanks for the video I was wonder how the teeth were set oriented and how to get the straps off without damaging anything.

In theory, maybe it’s a 15 second job to remove the straps if you’ve done it before and have a cooperative pair of fins. But if you are trying to remove the straps on a new pair of fins with tight straps, and you were questioning the amount of force needed to do so, this video saves your sanity. You need to use a rubber mallet. Also, note that the 2019 version of these fins comes with the bungee straps in every color EXCEPT pink. The Mares rep I talked to confirmed this, but could not explain why.

I so wish I watched this video before purchasing expensive replacement MARIS straps. Could have gone non proprietary 🤦🏻♂️. Thanks for the advice.

Could have been worse. Could you imagine if we would have took 15 seconds to explain a 8.5 minute job?
That's why we can FFW to the point where we see what we want ! and then use the rest of the time for window shopping things that we don't need 👌
