Wow, impressive video! Did not expect such a detailed explanation with quality tests. Just snagged one for $500 at best buy to pair with an older 4K. Awesome job, dude.
Excellent review. Was hesitating between this and the lg34wn80c for daytrading. Can it swivel if mounted with a monitor arm ? Also do you think we can get the full resolution with a Mac mini m1
Another great video! I definitely like the specs but the power brick kinda sucks. I love the LG monitor but I really love the look of the MSI Optix monitor so I’m torn!
Nice review. The only difference with this and 35WN65C-B is type-c port as far as I see which is for connecting your ultrabook and both transfering data and charging it at the same time if it's right.. Do you think it's worthy to pay more 150 more $ only for this type-c port?
I use it with Freesync and an AMD card. It flickers a bit at 51 fps. Also the HDR colors are every time different after you hybernate, so I switched HDR off. Also a lot of dead pixels on different models. If you switch the overdriveto "faster" its a good monitor for the price nevertheless.
300 nits made not want to get a ultra wide monitor. My macbook has 400 nits and I like to have the option to turn up the brightness to max. That is why i am now looking to get a color accurate 16:9 monitor.
hey bro, I saw ur MSI video as well. question - so u have 2 va ultrawide monitors. Do you see a washed out image in these 2 monitors since they are VA and va panels does have some whitish image as compared to ips. IPS tends to be more punchy. & which one is better LG or the MSI one. Also plz tell how many bits [anel are these. thx
For $399, I would go for this one. Its 100hz vs 60 Hz for the 34WN80C and this one is an inch bigger. I had both a 34 and 35 inch ultrawide and the extra 1 inch does feel better.
@@toooldtogame4176 Do you think The IPS screen is worth it matched up with the Mac mini ? Using mainly for hobby activities like photoshop and video editing
@@kdtheporchpodcast5785 I don't think that there is a one size fits all answer when it comes to the choice between VA and IPS panels. I have used both and I prefer VA panels just because of the contrast on them and deeper blacks. In your case for Photoshop and video editing, an IPS panel might make more sense. From what I have read, IPS panels generally have better color accuracy.
@@toooldtogame4176 "and the extra 1 inch does feel better." That's what she said! I'm also ordering this monitor hopefully the USB hub doesn't break after 1 month. It seems that's the common issue from Amazon reviews
Great video thanks. I am looking to buy this model mainly for the USBc 94W Power Delivery feature to charge my laptop. Did you try that out ? Can you use the full refresh rate on full resolution?
Yes I did try it out. I was able to use it to power my work laptop on full resolution. But I am not sure about refresh rate. My work laptop does not go beyond 60Hz on this monitor. I don't think that has anything to do with the monitor. Its more due to restrictions on drivers and settings on my work laptop.
I've just bought one (35WN65C-B). There's a lot of space btw the screen and its bezel. It's even cambered at some points. Esp on the right side & on the top. Is it acceptable? Is it because of wideness of the screen, or of poor quality of LG or it's just a flaw that I have to ask refund or change? How's yours?
Great review!! My only concern with this model is the brightness, as I will be using it near the window which could have strong sunlight. Not a gamer, just using it for productivity purpose. Do you think it's bright enough even near the window?
On paper the brightness seems low. But in practice its plenty. I used it for along time right under a window and had not issues either in productivity tasks or gaming.
does it support PiP meaning two PC connected to it displaying both inputs in parallel? you did not mention that when talking about split screen. And of yes any dependencies on ports used
It does not. It does had a PIP mode, but that is only to show one application window as an PIP with other applications. it does not do PIP between 2 different inputs.
Yes, they are for general use. I have have no issues in dark or bright rooms. The only place the brightness is not enough is the HDR. But for normal use without HDR it works great.
Has anyone who bought this had usb-c issues? It seems to be very common with this monitor. Also anyone connected a console to it? Does it strech or give black bars on sides? Thanks! 😊
How do u think this monitor compares to lg 34WL750 , that is 10k cheaper than this, and have an IPS panel , I don't mind 60 hz refresh rate as I will be using it for productivity(writing code) , what's your take on it
if the main purpose is to use it for coding and 60Hz is fine, i would go with the lg 34WL750. I have not used it extensively, but have worked on the lg 34WL750 for a few hours and did not see any obvious issues. Picture quality was good.

QHD display from this monitor? Or what's the most possible quality that I can take and through wich way? What are the possible senarios to take 100hz. QHD display? If I use HDMI to HDMI cable is it possible?
