Hi Kay. So glad you popped up on my recommended feed. I love your humour and energy. You have been busy! Thanks for sharing, I’m inspired to get off my butt and behind the sewing machine today.
Thank you so much, i dont think ive ever inspired anyone to do anything before😅😅😅! I did get a bit carried away with the challenge, but I really enjoyed making every garment. Have fun with your sewing machine today 😘
Hello from Canada! UA-cam suggested your videos to me today, and I’m so glad. Your enthusiasm is delightful! I’m a retired seamstress, and I’ve taken a break from it for a couple of years. Sewed up a couple of dresses for my kid’s university graduation and I have the big again. Can’t wait for more. And I want to meet your dogs too
Hi there, thank you for such a lovely comment 😊. University graduation dresses sound like a big thing to make, i am a long way from sewing something so special, you must be very talented. I think we all need to take a break now and then. And suddenly, something gets us started and we are off again, getting joy from fabric and patterns, plans and makes. Most certainly I'll ask my dogs if they'd like to make an appearance next time 🤩😍😘
Really like watching your videos Kay! It’s inspiring to see actual garments made up from the sew Haley Jane fabric, good motivation to pull them out of my stash 😃
Thank you so much 💗. The Sew Hayley Jane fabric is so lovely, sometimes it's hard to actually cut into it 😅. I'm going to try and do a little video with all my Sew Hayley Jane makes.....once I learn how to edit!! Enjoy going through that stash and picking some gorgeous fabric to make up 😘
You are a delight! What a fantastic round up of makes! The Vera Top is one of my favorites! I love how the neckline lies perfectly on the body, and isn't too low. Thank you for sharing some new free pattern ideas!
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment 😘. I think the Vera is my new favourite now too, it has just the right amount of shaping to make it fit without being either baggy or too loose. And I love the neckline too 😁. I can recommend the Ruffle Sleeve top as a nice V-neck woven top, I'm on my third! Happy sewing 😘
Kay, I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Your makes are fun pieces and I'm glad to know more about these patterns. Your personality is very engaging, and I'm subscribing because I hope to see you again. -Kelly
Hi Kay, great vlog. Just a tip for sewing with chiffon. I always spray with spray starch, makes the chiffon stiff, so when you wash it the starch washes out, making it easier to cut. Using a rotary cutter if you have one is also very useful. x happy sewing
Oh Kay - I'm so glad I've found you ♥️ Love 'the cut of your jib!' 😂 You've made my day! Keep carrying on with what you're doing! As they say, 'You do you, and I'll do me!' Absolutely beautiful makes! I can't wait for you to up your 'tech game' so we can see some photos, or even better, videos of you in your glad rags! 😊 Looking forward to your next vlog! xx
Wow! You've made my day too with your lovely comment. So glad you like my little channel and my makes. I've just spent a whole day cutting out paper patterns, ready for some more makes...so watch this space for an update😄😄😄😄
@@patcampton7163 wow, that is being frugal! I loved the challenge as it's so easy to just buy new fabric for a project. I loved going through my fabrics and finding forgotten gems.
Amazing selection makes. Lovely, really lovely. Thank you😊
Thank you, that's so kind. As you can see, I was enjoying myself so much I got completely carried away!
you are brilliant love watching you !

Wow, Karen, that's so kind! There used to be a saying that you were "high on life"....I think that's me😁. Loving life, fabric, people and Sewing❤️
Loved catching up on your vlogs, they're great and when you mentioned your local haberdashery I realised we're quite close (St Neots)
Goodness yes, we are close. I'm in Sandy 😁. St Neots is lovely 😍
Just found your vlogs for your SHJ classic boxes as I buy them also, 😊 this was great one 👍 have subscribed 😊
@beachblu6953 thank you so much, that's so good to hear 😊. I love those boxes, always beautiful and sometimes a challenge ❤️
Liked all your makes. You have several possibilities to mix your new makes. 👍🙂
Thank you, yes I've got a fair few little outfits out of it, which I didn't expect to 😊
Interesting. I have just made two shirts out of fabric I have had since the 80s. Trying to be frugal.
