- In this special report, we have the pleasure of introducing the latest comer in the Greubel Forsey GMT's family, the new GMT Balancier Convex.
This launch marks a clear new chapter for the GMT Collection of the brand as the famous model had been equipped with tourbillons up until now and is discontinued.
This new version features a beautiful and mesmerising 30° inclined balance wheel beating at 21 600 vibrations per hour.
Enjoy and Viva Watchmaking!

Greubel is on another level. And as always, a delightful presentation. Thank you for sharing, Marc.
Many thanks and our total pleasure to do so!!!
Greubel never disappoints. Always masterpieces very exclusives and expensive.
They have special talent for sure!!!
Most underrated high end brand ever. They deserve so much more recognition.
It's coming i think, but of you have the money, well there are really good options out there
I absolutely agree
Another beautiful and stunning timepiece by Greubel Forsey! One to admire for sure! Thanks for showing, MAD! All the best from Germany
You are most welcomed and such a pleasure being able to lay my hands on this!!!
The gmt idea has matured!
This version is amazing!
A totally new chapter for them! But a nice one for sure
Strange, different, but most exquisite and beautiful timepiece!
Breathtaking ! Thank you Marc.
You're totally welcomed, thanks a lot for this
Fantastic piece
What a stunning timepiece. ‘Nuff’ said🙏❤️
Well said!!!!!
Beautiful piece
Oh yes!!!!!
great design -- and the convex case is much better then previous odd shapes :P
The old one had it's charm, was very unusual, but yes this new one fits perfectly the purpose
What an incredible watch. They really are at their best. Maybe one day Marc :)
That day could be quite far away, but as you say, maybe one day 🤞🤞🤞 best to you and thanks
Nice, thank you
Welcome 😊
Beyond the holy trinity, indeed.
Quite a different take for sure!
Greatness
Lovely watch. Actually I like the shape of the case more so than the previous models. The case is round without interruption at 7pm which gives a more aesthetic appearance.
Indeed more classical, but still has a twist! Thanks and best to you
Love their diagonal balance wheels. Must be extremely hard to manufacture
Oh yes, this one is absolutely stunning!!!
👍❤️👌
Thanks!

I think they got the shape of Iceland 🇮🇸 and Greenland wrong 🤔, but amazing atelier.
I'm hoping GF can bring the pieces down to below 42mm at some point in time. This is a great piece, but, still too hefty at 43.5mm and, at this price point, why not stretch and grab the GMT Tourby? Regardless, a masterpiece none-the-less.
But it sit really nicely on the wrist and with this convex case it doesn't seem big at all. Best to you
top
Thanks
I'm planning to sell my 27 spare kidneys to buy one of those
Gladly, you'll still have 17 left ones ;) Best to you

Cooler than RM 🌏
Love the design of this. Why do watchmakers of this skill level continue to use flat head screws? They don't fit with the modernization of the piece. Richard Mille created their own screws; it seems strange to me that others producing watches with such complexity do not.
G'day J G, Traditionally watchmakers would make their own screws, and any decent book teaching the subject will cover their manufacture. A properly made Horological screw is a different beast to the flat head screws you pick up at the hardware shop, and when used with a properly selected screwdriver, they jamb together giving a very secure purchase for tightening or loosening. Finishing off all the edges and surfaces to a high level is part of the Art, and is easier with a slot, rather than a more complicated shape like Philips etc. Also easier to service as all watchmakers will have the requisite screwdrivers.
All the Best.
Thanks a lot for this really detailed answer and to pursue on this, did you know that a good screwdriver should never touch the bottom of the slot, it could scratch it, but instead only lie on the top sides of this slot. Best to you
@@theselectiveluddite Thank you for the education. It has been a mystery to me for quite sometime and now no longer. Your explanation made my day. Thank you.
@@WATCHESTVcom I am happy for my comment. Now I understand horology much better with these excellent responses. Thank you!
@@999NINE99 Pleasure mate. It's a great subject to dive into :)
so basically, it's a homage to CIGA Design Watch then? let me know your opinion :)
Well that made me laugh, but GF have been using this huge 3D globe since more than 10 years, so quite the opposite and not really comparable ;) definitely not comparable!
Just say it got lost in the mail🤷♂️!
Could be a solution, a one-off one ;)

We don't live on globe, sapere aude zombie, torus field plan of inertia .
Remarkable only for their vulgarity.
Kind of harsh of you... but we all have our opinions and that's totally fine. The best to you
