- Hello to all,
In today's video we had the pleasure and privileged to get our hands on the Balancier S, the latest timepiece by Greubel Forsey.
This new timepiece follows the footsteps of the GMT Sport introduced last year with a very original shaped titanium case, but now coming with the 30 degree inclined balance wheel seen first on their Signature model.
The watch is naturally hand-wound, made of 308 components, 42 jewels and beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 72 hours.
This pretty complex-shaped case, is 43mm wide and 13.75mm in height, the watch will come in two versions, the one presented here and a blue dial and strap version. Both will be limited to 18 pieces.
We really hope you enjoy this and a huge Viva Watchmaking to you!

Fantastic...the level of mechanical imagination is a wonder, and the ability to make this instrument is extremely rare. Loved the video Marc !!! You and this channel is a work of art itself.
Thanks so much for this 🙏🙏🙏
Watch Makers such as this will define the future of mechanical watch making
Nicely put 👍
Gf never disappoints. Always unique and exclusive master pieces. Greatness
Well I have to admit, the watch sadly isn't quite for me, but it's really nice that you like it mate ;)
Which is your favourite Greubel Forsey?
Are you talking about Greubel Forsey or about your girlfriend? xd
😂😂😂
Whatever GF makes is just dreamy! Well presented guys!
A sporty GF discreet with cool details. Simply amazing.

Definitively serious stuff from GF. Thanks for sharing Marc!!
Yes, that's a real sweet one!!!
I will never tire seeing new pieces from this brand. They seem to be able to keep a common DNA yet still create a completely different animal.
Nice comment, thanks for this
That was a really nice looking watch.
Glad you like it 👍
Great, thanks Marc Andre 👍.
Very welcome
I dont think you can call these watches anymore, this is just straight up art
I really like your thinking 🙏🙏👍👍👍✌️
Scrumptious. The three case back bridges evoke the GF logo shape when puzzled together. I see you.
Interesting ;)
Amazing piece to the highest degree!

Again a really attractive piece, but what's wrong with a date, could be better, maybe because personally, I like a date on my watch, it's like Marc without the mullet, it's his trademark, seriously great piece, Cheers Marc great video :)

Hey Marc. I've seen the video from Greubel Forsey channel directly. Just as usual, excellent shooting work like usual, Marc. Though I wanted to point out that they should've had sent you the watch that haven't been handled around by horology presses to be shot on a video, instead it should've been the other way around. The scratch at bezel in 3 o'clock is bothering me eventhough it is very shallow one. I could understand a rolex, omega or any watches below GF price threshold would have some nicks due to shipment handling even for a photoshoot, but I can't say the same for a Greubel Forsey or any watch around the same price threshold. It's even more "worrying" for the image of Greubel Forsey in my opinion as they are known to be THE FINISHING of watchmaking aside Mr. Dufour or Mr Voutelainen, to have scratches despite shallow on it's bezel of a newly launched watch.
I understand, there was indeed a very small issue with it, very minute, but you've got a good eye. Unfortunately there was no other timepiece available for this. Thanks a lot for sharing your view about this and all the very best to you.
@@WATCHESTVcom no worries Marc! In my opinion, when a video involving macro shooting is involved, they should've been "reworking or touch up" the watch again back in the manufacturer to appear flawless in the eye of the potential customers after being shown around to do a photoshoot. I've done touching up for all eternity back when I was working in the last company, dealing with dusts, light scratches, etc...it's just never-ending. 😂
What a watch 🙉.
Technically wonderful and interesting video. But being honest it is a watch I would not wear. I find the watchmaking interesting but I do not find the watch beautiful. I am into the more classical look. I love complications but with a more sober visual appearance. Always enthusiastic though about seeing new videos about new creations in the watchmaking world
And that’s totally fine, watchmaking should be subjective 👍👍
That sounds like "I would never own a private jet" ... well if you were in a position to make that decision, you never know. That watch is for people who already own Pateks, Rolexes, and want to try something new.
For me the high light is the small seconds indicator
Pretty cool right?
@@WATCHESTVcom beyond cool! the way they play the angle is crazy, i really hope the make the dial sapphire so we can se the movements
I have to say that I liked the globe tourbillon more.
That’s for sure an amazing timepiece, we love it too
#metoo
Oh yeah. Inclined balance wheel is understandable if there's two of them, but how if its always inclined in one position all the time? If there's two, then it's make sense that one would be compensate each other gravity effects on the poising of the balance wheels in the movement, but there's only one tho....
But one moves all the time ;)
@@WATCHESTVcom in a wrist, yeah. But in a drawer? It's okay if the poising/the weight contribution in a centrifugal position of a balance wheel is in absolute balanced, like... if the balance wheel installed in a normal watch the isochronism is in absolute perfect whichever the watch position is faced, like totally 0 or 1 rate average of each position, ie position 12,3,6, & 9 o'clock the rate is all 0, when the rate set up to be increased decreased to one or even 5 second in one position, all positions also follows. It's near impossible to do that thus why there's tourbillon exist, which to averaging rate and weight contribution against the gravity.
My best rate I've had adjusted a watch was in all positions is 0.x in all positions (in an Omega movement) , but that .x differences does affects to the total rate and isochronism of the watch.
Not a high beat?
Not in their philosophy
I think they hit the mark with this one. A "simple" sports watch.
As you say 😉
Don’t know how to make an order of GF watch due to the COVID-19 situation.
Am sure they will find a solution ;)
TheWATCHES.tv stay healthy and be safe man!
Nice tourbilion
It's not a tourbillon, it's a "normal" manual wound watch with a particular balance wheel installed in inclination.
Thanks 👍
Price?
🇵🇹👌
Fuuuuck meeee look at that case...look at the balance wheel god damn!!
So it's a "standard" hand wound watch with sub-seconds which means it should be cheap.....on the GF money scale LOL
Everything is indeed very relative ;)
Having "Perfection" and "Exclusive" written on the bezel of a watch is a massive turn off for me. It's otherwise a very impressive piece
Is this guy Garth from Wayne's world
Could be 🤪
*Nope. This is a step backwards from their previous Tourbillon models with the rotating 24 hour globe.*
It’s “simpler”, thus different pricing too ;)
