- Greubel Forsey’s Quadruple Tourbillon GMT is unlike any timepiece in the market today. It underscores the maison’s technical capability as it packs in four tourbillons and a GMT complication in the form of a rotating globe into a single elegant timepiece. The four tourbillons, which are arranged in pairs, are meant to provide more accurate timekeeping by taking into account variations caused by the Earth’s gravitational pull, especially when worn on the wrist.

Does the globe only show the northern hemisphere?

I have a lot of respect for GF engineering and finish. Still, this is one ugly watch. I much prefer their more recent Balancier Convexe range. They’re handsome contemporary looking timepieces, with comparable finish I believe.
True, engineering is next level at Greubel Forsey! The pieces you mentioned look for sure very different - i think that the Convexe is as you said more contemprorary and modern, while this one is more elegant and classy - at the end all depends on taste. 😊
To say this watch is too much may be an understatement. I just got a classic Montblanc Heritage, and I am convinced that beauty and simplicity are almost the same thing. I don't know where the strange cult of complications will take us. This one is strange, awkward, but still tolerable. Jacob & Co watches are absolutely ugly. I don't have the money to buy such watches, but I am really glad I don't.
Really good point, because i think that at some point after you have bought so many watches, the desire to discover the unknown will kick in. From there on, you will start to pay more attention to uniqueness, rarities and exclusivity even though you might not wear it on a daily basis :)
