Love your reactions to Ranma ❤️ At least you understand why Akane was really upset and you didn’t take some of the “outdated” tropes in the anime so seriously.
Yeah, when Ranma showed up at the dojo last episode and she heard his name, she was all “‘Ranma’? …Hmm (pat pat), this one’s a boy. So where’s the one _I’m_ after?”
" I wish Akane was so straightfoward with me" Ranma doesnt like Shampoo. He likes the way she is affectionate but he wants it from Akane. Also Ranma was crying for Akane. His eyes were full of tears. I feel sad for Akane all around..
At the same time, she is a straight-up babe (as Akane noted last time), and when she’s sticking her tongue down his throat and cozying up to him, Ranma is very, VERY aware of that. I get the sense that part of why Akane threw the weapon at him instead of Shampoo was because his reaction made it quite clear his brain was in full “HOT GIRL MAKING OUT WITH US, THIS IS NOT A DRILL” mode.
@@fenixjpb And really, it ties into the thing that’s been present since episode 1 - he finds Akane cutest when she’s genuinely smiling. (Though he was only able to tell her when he treated it as a trick to get her guard down.) When she’s asking the “girl” who just arrived to be her friend, when she’s playing baseball in PE, when she thanks him for awkwardly complimenting her new haircut. So naturally, when he’s reflecting on Shampoo’s adoring smile for her _airen,_ he imagines what it’d be like for Akane to smile at him that way.
Ranma ran desperately for Akane, wishing that Akane was more straightforward saying she felt like Shampoo, Ranma cried for Akane, always trying to give her explanations. Dude, Ranma is totally in love with Akane, and Akane is with Ranma. Come on, they are 16 years old, they are not enough mature to express their feelings. I love them❤❤❤❤

Ranma really sucks at handling women hitting on him. Like with Kodachi, where he couldn't tell her straight to her face "I don't want to date you" and had to hide behind "I already have a fiancee" instead, which Akane called him pathetic for. Now he can't be that blunt with Shampoo, either--though, of course, the language barrier isn't helping!
For Chinese Amazons, it's not "the man will protect you"; they can handle (almost) all comers. It's "with a strong man, you'll make strong Amazon babies! The village will become even stronger!" That's also why she gave Akane the Kiss of Death: eliminate the competition. Village must be made stronger.
This episode should be Exhibit A in demonstrating that Kasumi - without ever actually trying - can enable the chaos and stupidity just as well as anyone, especially when she’s together with Nabiki. Honestly, “Kasumi cheerfully gives explanations that only make things worse” should be a running gag. As for Akane’s Kiss of Death, I don’t think it’s _only_ given to girls who defeat an Amazon. In this case, I think Akane had just really, really cheesed Shampoo off. Also, don’t forget that this entire episode takes place the day OF, and the day AFTER, the Charlotte Cup, where Ranma took a serious beating, Akane nearly drowned, and Ranma and Ryoga both froze their asses off saving her. These kids are not having a good week.
It can come up a bit ambiguous whether Shampoo knows male Ranma and girl Ranma are the same person, but she doesn't. It's just like Akane not realizing Ryoga is Pchan no matter how obvious it is. Basically, it's like the classmates of Ranma: they have seen both forms of Ranma and know they're called the same, but they still think of him as two different persons. Also, Team Shampoo forever only cause she cooked ryoga.
Ok, two things. 1) She doesn't know that they're the same person. She knows that there's a boy called Ramma and a girl called Ranma. They *BOTH* defeated her. She loves the former and hates the latter. 2) Akane didn't defeat her. She *HAS TO* give the kiss of death to whoever defeats her. But she doesn't necessarily have to be defeated to give someone the kiss of death, the rule didn't say anything about that. Maybe she can just give it to whoever she really hates. 😅
We all thought that:" Akane, finally has a reason to beat Shampoo a**, do it girl." I think Akane honestly knew that she couldn't defeat Shampoo but just having a fight with her it's like a relief of her anger to Shampoo.
Haha...they made Ryoga over the top. But that's how he is--he overthinks things and is often dramatic over it🤣 But you still can't help feeling sorry for the guy!
18:35 I don't know which other show you are referring to, amnesia is a quite common trope in fiction! Anyways, I think Akane being hitten in the chest was just Ranma immagination. Poor P-chan! But i guess going around as a pig the slaughterhouse was calling his name!! Glad Shampoo eats her animals whole, if she would've carved him up 💀

Shampoo differentiated between boy- and girl-Ranma because they have the same name. She's still clueless about the curse.

@hafidbense4934 and he adds "if Akane was straightfoward with me" inmediatly. So my point is correct. He wants Akane
