I don’t know if you want more information from the webtoon about the Thorn, a lot of details about it was in omake material. We already knew what Beta explained in this episode, before the Thorn actually mattered for the story proper. Anyway, don’t worry, Ilmar and Goseng’s romance was also half-baked in the webtoon. On the other hand, it is true we’re missing a lot of the character moments that would have endeared you to Wangnan and gang. The anime botched showing Wangnan’s cunning too. Even Bam’s brief reunion with Rak and the others was considerably hit, making some of the impact of the moment miss.

This explanation was cut from S1 but an ignition weapon is a weapon refined with Shinsu, bearing a "soul." Without the soul the weapon is considered "dead" like Beta said the Thorn was. Meaning it can't be ignited. So, the "soul" is used to ignit the weapon. This soul can be the soul of a dead person. (like 13 month series. They each have the soul of a real dead person.) Or the soul can be a "demon." like the one they put inside Casano, Ilmar and Bam. So in order to try making a "living" ignition weapon inside a real living person. FUG gave Enryu's King slaying Thorn to the workshop. The workshop proceeded to kidnap homeless children from the middle area of the tower. Then they Injected them with the special refined shinsoo called "ignition liquid." Hundreds of children couldn't handle the injections and died in the process. Casano and Ilmar were the only ones that survived. So then the workshop found a demon, split it in half and put one half inside both of them. The one they put inside Bam years ago when he was on the 2nd floor is a "full demon." Which is why Beta calls Bam "the finished product."

Have you ever question what Reflejo meant when he said "my master?" I already told you who's the real villain behind the scenes, it's Slayer Karaka (full armor masked guy). If you remember, Karaka talked to one of his shadow to send some people. Reflejo is the leader of group sent by Karaka. I don't know why the anime think it's good to removed the scene of Reflejo's arrival with Novick. He was supposed to be there!!! Then Reflejo also gave out order for FUG people to finally execute Baam because he broke the contract by meeting with Rak and Endorsi.

100% read the manga. The movie is INCREDIBLE but it just isn't the same story-wise. Just like you said, it cuts some important development or even intensity from the match that makes it much more rich in terms of content. Inuoka's transformation into a wing spiker, Hinata's adaptability even after hitting the BOOM jump, Yaku's read and instructions to counter that, Nekoma's might and Karasuno's struggle to make a single point... The manga captures the intensity of the match at 100%, and the final arc is probably the best arc in any anime/manga I've ever read. Please consider reading it, I think you'd really enjoying judging by your reaction

People with blonde hair and yellow eyes can't be trusted in this series. Ho, Rachel, Hansung Yu, and now Ron Mei and Beta. Love the irony of Team Anti-FUG being FUG and those on team FUG being Anti-FUG So far, Anaak's the only one who figured out Bam's identity on her own. She may get tunnel vision in a fight but she's pretty smart herself

So here is what is going on, the original idea was to give baam the torn like a living ignition weapon, but them a group of slayers think that it would be dumb because baam could runaway with the torn so they instead want to turn baam in a ignition weapon that can be used by the slayers, like the 13th series black march.

Tower of betrayal. Now, just a reminder that an ignition weapon is a weapon with a soul. The thorn was found in the place where Enryu killed the administrator and was confirmed to be an ignition weapon that no longer had a soul. FUG said they finally have the FINAL INGREDIENT for it and Bam is the "prize" of the tournament. Add those things to guess what FUG is trying to do.

All it changed on the reunion was that they chased baam, and you know- a lot of action, so they just didn't animate that. But it doesn't affect the story in any means. It also included paracule doing the same thing he did to ran and anaak, so maybe the studio thought it wouldn't feel right to do the same thing again. Also, the teleportation you saw with endorsi, rak and yihwa is actually the bongbong (one of those items right before the workshop).

I don't like a lot of theories like Fortuna being Sirius and similar ones of x being y. Not because there isnt evidence to support them, there is, but because they are too obvious and would diminish and hurt established characters. Not only that, theories like that are would be really hard to write properly. If anything, I believe the author creates these characters as foils or counterparts to make readers speculate since x being y would make the work too derivative if not properly executed.
