Been there with the AC!! Also I feel you on the “it’s gotta go down to the frame” comment. Working through that now myself. 😂😂Excited to see more videos and can’t wait to see what’s next with teddy.
When that refrigerant hit him, all I could think of was when you couldn’t finish a sentence after it happened to you! 🤣 This truck and Cookie Monster are going to be awesome!
I appreciate that. It's how I started the channel and I want to incorporate more into the videos. We're still going to be doing lots of wrenching and travelling with the fellows but more of this, too.
You asked about this "lone wolf" style of video... What drew me to UBT a couple years back was the fun, eclectic group of characters you had on most of your videos. I daresay most of us watching would prefer vids with some number of them in it. But hey, life and work always get in the way and you gotta adapt. So keep on truckin' and we'll keep on watchin'. 👍
The boys will always be around. I didn't say every video solo lol. I'm just gonna need to do some stuff solo. UBT is still and will always be about the fellows in the garage getting it done.
I can totally relate. Started driving my first 93 obs here in Belgium in 2006 and it got rear ended in 2018. Just 3 months prior it had received a brand new crate engine with a freshly overhauled transmission. Now in Belgium here, in order to register it as a daily driver these American vehicles, import to us, have to go through a certification process, witch is quite a mountain to clime... so when my truck got rear ended, it got declared technically total loss, so I had to search for an other one, and they run pretty scares here in Belgium. Luckily I stumbled on a to be restored unit: rolling chassis with the cab, bed, doors an all the Belgian paperwork. At first I thought about only swapping all the good parts from my totalled 93 to that project, but later on decided to step into the adventure of a frame off restoration from my home garage. It's been in the works for three years now. I am currently in te process of getting the bed painted, only things that remain after that is bodyworking and painting the bumpers and the tailgate, finish some details and she good for a new life😊
So glad we had time to sit and watch you take the front end apart, we have to take apart a 91 in a couple days for an LS/4L80 swap. Hidden bolts to are so fun! 🤣🤟🏻
I have enjoyed your channel for a few years now. You have a good group of people around you and y’all work well together. That being said, I respect your decision to put out more content even if it means doing it alone. I am at this exact point on my 79 C10 and came to the same conclusion, it’s all gotta come apart. Looking forward to this series. 👍
Thanks man! The guys will still be around but some stuff I’ll have to go at alone simply due to timing and distance. Don’t worry - it won’t always be me by myself. lol i know that could get boring.
Great to see a vid brother! Excited about what’s ahead. Love your ambition. I’m dreading replacing a brake pedal bushing and here you are getting real deep 😅
Happy to! Some viewers pointed it out and i went back to the instructions and it said this way. Apparently they used to say either, but I feel this is the best way for safety - maybe lose a little drop but I like the safety over the drop lol
Robbie! If you’re going to ditch the th400, I’d be super interested in the speed sensor if it’s the stock one for truck. I’m in the middle of redoing my late father’s obs and it has a th400 in it but it wasn’t factory installed so I have no speedometer. Also, I know what’s in Illinois 😏
Just commenting again as I’m watching the video. The obs trucks came with a 21”, 28” and 34” core radiator from the factory. The 34” is what’s in my truck and I run a sbc but if you run the 28” rad, the stock rad hoses for the 99-07 trucks fit perfectly. Can’t get any easier than that! 🤣🤣🤣 ask Josh over at Yeah Buddy Garage what happens to your thinking when you inhale refrigerant. Poor fella was struggling after his WIMD episode. Also, if you do take the factory ac off the obs, the only thing you can’t buy new is the little J shaped metal tube that goes from the drier to the firewall for the evaporator. I just had to get mine off a truck in the junkyard but you can easily sell it for $50-$60 bucks! Glad you got the pro coils installed correctly. I’d hate to see something happen to you or the truck if those bolts broke.
Cool video & update Robbie can't wait to watch it evolve. I had really been looking hard at the React rear kit you put in yours because of the simplicity of what looks to be a nice coil over option. I know there are other coil over options but I do not care for all the additional bars on some of them. 1. Do you like it so far ? Which I know it hasn't been in long enough to find out. 2. Is it staying after it goes to Level 7 ? Haha 3. Do you think a watts link would add anything or fine like it is.
We live a couple hours apart so that makes it harder but the move will get us a little closer. He’s been wanting to come wrench and hang so hopefully we’ll make that happen soon.
Sub'd!!!😎looking forward to a new project & btw, I will be close to first in line, if not 1st, to pick up the commemorative T shirt & sticker, if they are in the works!!😉😉😉😎😎😎
Can you and the crew SIMPLY KISS and make up... kinda weird watching you all alone. Don't let $$$ ruin Good Relationships! (Assuming) 😂 ! But we all know when Mom & Dad have been fighting!

Gotta say I like this type of real world wrenching on your ride yourself like alot of us do at our own pace. Excllent vid, keep em coming in!

And guys let's all understand in this economy we are all in everyone has to adapt to stay moving forward they all have families to feed
Enjoyed the video! Really excited to hear what is in store for the obs and the channel content. Looking forward to the next video! Thanks
More to come!

Thanks for watching! Sounds like you got it all sorted
Finally!! I’ve checked every day for a month for a new video
That’s awesome! Can’t wait to see the final product!!!
Thank you!
Well this is the 5th time watching this video waiting like a wolf for the next one on this truck 👁️
Just dropped
Thanks for watching

I’m excited to see how this build progresses. Keep grinding’ man!
Thanks, brother! Taking notes from you on all of your progress lately. You guys inspire me!
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS Doing my best a couple hours a week like you!

Got to experience rapidly draining AC yesterday haha!!!! Makes me feel better to see someone do it that actually knows what they’re doing 😂😂
Bahaha happens to the best of us
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS and the worst of us 🙋🏽♂️😜
Man Robbie this was great, it was just like hanging in the shop with ya.
Thanks, Tazzy! Trying to slow it all down and make some progress.
It's Sunday, and you're working alone!
I had no idea, the rest of the fellas are that " God Fearin"!

Nice name they match does colors 🤣🤣🤣👍tedy
Good work Robbie… love watching your videos… and keeping up with your builds…
Thanks, Phillip! Great talking to you at PTTS

Great video!

Smokey Bear!!! The baddest of the fleet....still in that back seat position......making a man so sad.
But getting driven and used so much lately. I love that truck and it’ll never go anywhere. Sitting i my driveway right now
So cool ,, greetings from the Netherlands
Thanks for watching!
Glad you are doing it proud .
I’m sure trying to
Excited for this series, nice work!
What stance on Brownie. Love it
Thanks it’s QA1s Pro Coilover conversion up front with React Spindles. In the rear it’s React’s 4 link coilover kit with single adjustable coilovers
Man I’m glad you pointed out the coilovers cause I put my qa1’s on the same way you did I’m gonna have to fix that now
Happy to! Some viewers pointed it out and i went back to the instructions and it said this way. Apparently they used to say either, but I feel this is the best way for safety - maybe lose a little drop but I like the safety over the drop lol
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS yeah don’t blame you there especially being that low safer is better
Love the build Robbie
Thank you!
Mine was full of nuts. Had to get a different hood it was so packed.
I have a 90’ 4x4 I’m pulling the tbi out and I hzz as ve a 73 built sbc 400 with a TH400 trans going in it
Another Badass truck sir! Keep up the good work. What wheels are those?
Thank you! They are Rushforth Night Train wheels

Nice green box there, Robbie.
BTW, what's going on with TTR? Miss his energy from the early days of the channel.

Ok I'm gonna have to get me an OBS. I've got a 2001 single cab Silverado but it's a 4.3 and Level 7 doesn't offer parts for it.
Definitely change the cab bushings
No doubt. We’ll use the Level 7 mounts.
That could've tasted good 😂😂😂😂😂
Yummy lol
@UNITEDBYTRUCKS (You be careful Robbie
pumped about whats to come!
Thanks brother!
Wow. Didn't know they put TH400 trans in 1/2 tons after '87. Learnt me something.
My 90 model has one 😢
Pulling the front clip is easy iv done my 4wd a dozen times I have 3 of them a 90’ 95’ 93’ had two more but sold them
Teddy just sitting there 🥲
Surrounded by parts he doesn’t even know are for him. 😁
Can’t wait to start seeing teddy back on the channel
You said up to Illinois. So where you located
I’m in Georgia

The red puddle of death 🤣🤣
Ugh, right?
Man some dry ice under that unit would have been the ticket.
I actually didn’t consider that, but it’s not too late. Ever done one just chassis only? lol
The wait is finally over 📺
I could use that motor & trans.
🤙✌️
👍🏼
Robbie, we will take any UBT content we can get.
Thanks, Bud!
Isn’t one of those guys that hang around you an electrician?
Yep
Need to have them up your light game or get some lights and I can help you out one weekend. I did the lighting at ViceGrip
