I can't believe all that is neccessary. Like the videos for nc750x 2 inches rox risers installation, all you have to do is take the master cylinder off the brake handle, route it through the forks and that's it.

Thanks for all the videos you have posted on the 1100 Rebel
In another video you mentioned something about your insurance company would hopefully total your bike. Were you involved in a wreck, if so were you injured? Lastly do you have another bike by now?
    Thanks again

Hi Donnie, I don't believe I had discussed totalling the bike in the past, I could be wrong though. Fingers crossed, I haven't needed to contact my insurance.

Sorry must have been one of the other Rebel 1100 owners that mentioned it. Glad you haven't had any claims to file!
About your crash bars. What would be the difference between bars for the DCT vs the Manual Trans? They would fit either wouldn't they? Frames are the same.

@@donniee1934 no worries at all! SW motech makes 2 versions of the crash guards, one for the DCT and one for the manual. But back when I got mine, they only had 1 version

Their website now shows they only offer the DCT version. No longer offer the manual trans version.

I'm hoping Burly Brands or someone else in the aftermarket makes some cable extensions for the DCT so I can put some 14" raisers or apes on my bike.
Burly Brands says around November. I hope they hurry up.
Edit: and I subscribed to your channel brother. Keep it up.

What you did was useless. Just unscrew the front brake assembly from the bar. It will contain the mirror as well. Easier if you remove the mirror but you can get away with it attached. Then unscrew the headlight by the base from the fork. Basically, the headlight is attached to the base that is attached to the fork bar. Unscrew the base. Take the headlight with the base out. Feed the brake assembly through. Now you just screw in the headlight and the front brake assembly to the bar. No bleeding needed.

Hey man, as usual very nice video, congrats !!! Did you, by any chance, do a video of how to bleed the breaking system after rerouting the front brake line?

Question on when you put the banjo bolt back in as I didn't see how you aligned the bolt.. How did you ensure the banjo bolt hole is lined up with matching hole in brake line ring so the fluid can go through. Thanks.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  2 роки тому +1

Hi John, you don't need to align the holes, the brake fluid flows between the banjo bolt and the brake line fitting, just ensure that the use new washers and most importantly to torque the banjo bolt to the specified torque.

Thank you Lorne, I got mine from the honda dealership. If you are planning on rerouting your front brake line on a Rebel 1100, there is another way to do it without te need to bleed the brakes, you could move the headlight out of the way and route the master cylinder as a whole unit through the gap between the forks. let me know if you are interested and i'll be happy to share additional information.

@@ontherebel11 Thanks. I did it by moving the headlight. Do you have a video on rerouting the parking brake? I have the 3 inch risers installed but the brake cable is a little tight.

@@lorneperalta9314 congratulations Lorne! How do you like the new riding position? Unfortunately I didn't make a video of rerouting the parking brake..... I was in a hurry to get it done that day, sorry about that.

@@ontherebel11 No worries. I am a lot more comfortable with the new position. I also have the Daytona guards which allows me to stretch out. Waiting on my Corbin seat to complete the transition.
