I bet they can just lower the hydraulics and set it on the ground take the trailers apart and get out. I'm guessing that's what they're gonna do since there was no crane. Idk if there's a crane that can lift something that heavy. Looking back idk how they were gonna get the front part of the trailer out but wouldve been cool seeing them unload and get out.

    • @grouchygrizzly366

Well, once the trailer is in position close enough to the station, a crew lowers the transformer onto rails. These rails have devices that allow the transformer to be pushed by hydraulics into place, then lowered onto the pad.

Let's see at a minimum, getting the necessary permits, coordination with the railroad to be delivered on time, further coordination with the railroad to make sure no trains are scheduled to be on the track they crossed, coordination with the police for a police escort, route recon to make sure the load can fit the road and the bridge can handle it, I'm sure they check the weather and area events that may effect the traffic, checking and getting all equipment to the railroad delivery/pickup site, making sure all equipment used is serviceable and if not making repairs so it can be, making sure all necessary support staff and support vehicles is where they need to be when they need to be (spotters, drivers, supervisors, mechanics, etc) and probably other stuff I can't think of. Yep, a shit-ton of planning.
