  •  Jay tricked me...
So as you know, Jay Yow is the producer of this podcast. We were talking casually and he asked me about a lot of different things I've been obsessed with ever since I was a little kid and this "Power of Obsession" has driven my entire life for better and for worse.
We're just casually talking about it and then I realized he's recording, so we made an episode about The Power of Obsession... You kind of hear in the beginning, I didn't want to do an episode on it. But, then I realized, this has been an interesting thing for me, and this aspect, this Power of Obsession, has had an overall very positive effect on my life.
So here we go-the Power of Obsession.

I listened to this in the morning. It was great that Jay tricked you and made this episode about the power of obsession. The Power of Obsession sounds like a good book title. My favorite part of the podcast is when you were obsessed with politics at such a young age, I could visualize the situation that you were in when you visited Mississippi. I love this aspect of your podcasts

      Yeah no kidding hey?
Sadly I believe Obsession these days comes from the rejection of relationships more so then a passion for an interest
Hence a term "rejection breeds Obsession" I suppose it can come from wanting to improve career wise as well

James have you ever heard of Hades or Kid Icarus? Two video games that are based on Greek mythology.
Hades is wonderful because it very much characterizes all the gods as zagreus (hades son) battles his way out of the stages of the underworld with the help of the blessings of thr gods..... its a fun game with a great story!
Whenever someone talks about Greek mythology I immediately go to Hades
