Man...I totally forgot about this episode until I watched it here. I have the entire Miami Vice series in DVD sitting in a box somewhere. I need to dig it up and refresh my memory.
In an appearance on "The Graham Norton Show (2007)," Don Johnson said his character's iconic look was an accident. Miami was just too hot, so he began stripping off whatever clothes he didn't need, including socks. The costume designer had gone to Italy, and came back with clothing from Gianni Versace and Giorgio Armani, who were relatively unknown. Johnson didn't like their clothes, and said they looked like pajamas.
In a different interview I heard Don say in addition to not wearing a belt and socks, sometimes he didnt wear underwear. He learned to like the loose fitting clothing in the Florida heat in the summer
Because 1. the victims were all prostitutes and 2. Castillo made it a personal mission to catch the guy ... it was the same killer he was hunting in Vietnam in the early seventies.
@@jamesheath7052 So many layers of story and character in _Miami Vice!_ Shows on network TV today are so formulated and, worst of all, focused on propagating political narratives. @@citizenfour9622 According to his interview with Emmy TV Archives, Dick Wolf changed Michael Mann's formula because he criticized Miami Vice for being too weird, artsy, trendy, & full of shock-value to end a story over a traditional resolution. I kinda agree with him saying the episodes (particularly Season 2) lacks a final act from a climax, there was no closure to the climatic scene to the plot in which the aftermath would set up to something more suspenseful to a follow-up in the next episode. However, I do agree, he should've left Michael Mann's formula the way it was.

The casting of the bad guys on all 5 seasons on Vice was magnificent.
Michael Wright always had this intense, menacing presence in every role he had. Quite the character actor.
Except in OZ where he was mostly annoying. Still good acting though.
@@johnaustin209 I hated his character in OZ. 😑
I've only seen him in Money Talks.
One of the most underrated episodes.
I’ve never seen this one. Now I have to watch it!
It really was
I only just discovered Miami Vice during the summer, my mom and dad used to watch it in the 80’s and I’m really enjoying these clips
It's a great series.
I have a problem. I watch too much Miami Vice. 😎
Nothing wrong with that. Its still a Cool Show.😊
"Pass me the Catsup" lol😅😅😅
i love the ''blood and roses'' song of this episode
Loved Michael Wright's work on the V mini series back in the day too.
Yeah Elias, he's a great actor.

Michael Wright in "The Principal" with Jim Belushi.
That was the late Louis Gosset jr. Who starred alongside Mr. Belushi.Unless he played a student.😊
Great episode! 👏
I remember that guy from Oz
He played very different character in OZ. He was also in the sci/fi series "V" as well.
This was one of the better episodes.
My favorite episode
Man, to this day I'm still trying to figure out what "boun dap" means. 😂
Dated a girl from Vietnam 2 years ago, and replayed that part about 10 times: she said she didn't think it was Vietnamese :)
Is that Michael Wright as the Savage here? He kinda reminds me of Omar White from Oz
Yeah he played Omar White in Oz
The Kbar knife was always epic! Reminded me of Levar Burton gone evil!!! In L.A. a guy ended up replicating this guy but with homeless victims.
Yeah this guy was killing whores, he started while in Vietnam.
Way before Michael Wright became one of "The Five Heartbeats."
I wish the full episode was available
The woman at the hotel counter was Judith Malina who played Grandmama in "Addams Family " movies 1 and 2 from the 1990s.
Reminds me of Anton Chugar.
Anton Chigurh?

Thank you, Good actor. Just watched with law enforcement. How did he know the cop at the end?
Hey gurl!
Omar White
I guess Morris did finally leave the Chiefs and make it to all that gorgeous snatch in F-L-A. *flicks tounge*
Eddie Kane is still.mad he got kicked out of five heart beats
