#MiamiVice
Hey, modern day kids, wanna know how cool this show was? The main character was a Vietnam combat vet who lived on a sailboat with his pet alligator named "Elvis;" his partner was a streetwise New Yorker with a penchant for undercover work and accents while carrying short-barreled shotguns, and their boss was an ex-CIA ninja with the honor of a samurai. Need I say more?
In other words...this show was the shit.
I was lucky enough, our kindergarten teachers were sitting us down for every episode, and although I was only 6 at the time Miami Vice really stuck with me. I remember all kids used to chant "miami vice" over and over, as the air time was approaching. This might seem odd to some, but this was Poland in 1989-90, and we just got the iron curtain lifted, so all these new shows were a big deal to us.
A lot of A listers played roles in this series. Good shit.
No Pal, you don't.
Yeah they busted millionaire sleaze using Ferraris and Airwolf.
Crockett watching his future car. Got impounded, then he waited one month to recieve it with new paint and new rubbers.
Last month I ordered all the Miami Vice DVDs to enjoy whenever
I did that last Christmas finally getting around to it snd omg soo good
Its like a time machine back to the 80s
I believe the music in these scenes, is what really put this series apart from any before or since.
Perfect combination of pop and crime cultures clashing together...
Agreed 100
On the streets: Miami Vice
In the air: Airwolf
My girlfriend at the time told me I'd love Miami Vice. I told her I hated cop shows. But I came down off my high horse and after the Bushido Episode I was and still am, a devoted fan.
0:14 When the Vice has Airwolf, you don't have a chance.
AAWWW MAN! You cut the scene short! The best part of this scene is when Tubbs and Crockett race back to the garage to find Carroon! The drama escalates when you see what is probably the best Beauty shot of this car (Cadillac) racing down the highway to the spectacular music of Mr. Jan Hammer!!! The Ferrari always got sooo much attention! It was rare when Tubbs' vehicle got the spotlight! Still...this was an exciting third season opener!!! Vice Fan Forever!!
I highly doubt it. This scene was around UA-cam couple of years back, edited the same way.
Maybe this is one of the DVD extras, I dunno.
32 years later and I STILL get chills
That black Testarossa is actually the same one that would become Crockett's.
They painted it white so that it could be seen better at night.
They make police very hard to lost them by driving the that Testarossa.
Didn't they had two ferraris ?
The first car was called a Ferrari, but the actual vehicle was a kit car: a mock-up created by a custom vehicle designer. After the show started gaining notoriety, the actual Ferrari company sued over the fraudulent car, and a compromise was reached: instead of a fake, the company donated a couple of brand new Testarossas to the show for the third season onwards.
Castillo bad ass shows up in Airwolf. The bad guys are toast for sure.
As badass as it’ll ever get, the music is typical Miami Vice style, swagger and ultra coolness.....
That police helicopter looks similar to the helicopter in Airwolf. A similar type of helicopter also appeared on Season 5 of the A Team
It's a real helicopter, they just made up all the over the top crap in the Airwolf version. Strangely a lot of it's fairly real now lol
@@napoleonwilson6499 Yes the Airwolf helicopter is actually in reality a modified helicopter owned by Jetcopters and after that show ended got sold to Germany as ambulance helicopter. (Info taken from Airwolf wikipedia page).
It’s the same model they use in air wolf. Bell Model 222.
Pretty sure video Bob is redoing that helicopter, he does a lot of movie Cars, Back to the Future DeLorean and night Rider car kit and Ecto 1 and a whole lot more
@@lynch6642 hell yeah
That sweet bastard Jan Hammer really went to work on this scene!! 😀
Miami Vice & Airwolf in one show 😊
I can’t say enough how much I love this show!! I just feel like Philip Michael Thomas didn’t get enough recognition!
Smart woman. Tubbs is my man
I agree with you Marilyn.
He really didn’t...he just vanished after the show ended. He was totally eclipsed by Don Johnson.
He was always good looking, even with the beard in season 4. Sonny let his hair grow too long. His hair looked the best in seasons 1 and 2
@@lindacollins903 Yes he was. You are correct about Don Johnson. I always loved Philip Michael Thomas. He was my favorite. ♥️♥️♥️
The music is amazing !
0:16 Nice to see that Stringfellow and Dominic are giving Castillo and the boys a hand with help of “the lady” (Airwolf).
Airwolf and miami vice are in the same universe.
#ripjanmichaelvincent and #ernestborgninerip
That helicopter is the same design as airwolf, the bell 222 but I wonder if its the same one used in the show
It just wasn’t any cooler than this……Miami Vice was the pinnacle of TV……
even the police helicopters were cool
Jesus christ. 32 years later and I STILL get chills
Yep
More like 40 years later. Yep, the show is THAT old
Don Johnson was the coolest guy of the 80s. NGL 😍❤️
What about ricardo tubbs
What about Tom Selleck?
@LOS ANGELES DODGERS Well my mom would argue with you, but I'm not my mom, LOL... now my wife would say Mel Gibson, lol. Anyway I'm happy to say they're all alive and and still around and so am I for that matter, be safe
I still am
What about John Schneider and Tom Wopat (aka Bo and Luke Duke)?
Exactly how Crockett got that good ol' Testa
I actually go to work each and every Friday feeling great all day because I know that when I get home I will enjoy watching an episode the same as I did way back when!
Never thought I would see Castillo in AIRWOLF 😳😳
Oh man that made me crack up 😂 Castillo needs that cool helmet 😅!!
Miami vice + airwolf = 1980's 🇺🇲 🤘🤘!!!!
Miami vice + airwolf = 1980's 🇺🇲 🤘🤘!!!!
Indeed, yes sir !!
I agree 💯
I always knew there was something shady about the principal from The Breakfast Club.
Don’t mess with the bull young man you’ll get the horns
Castillo is too cool to duck when he gets off the helicopter and they must of put extra hairspray so his hair wont move also !
Great music.
That time Airwolf observed the bad guys...
Yes..🤣
I thought the same thing AIRWOLF
A real pity that wasn't The Lady!
The music in this sequence is totally awesome!!!
When THAT MUSIC kicks in! 😎
Was a Testertosa a new car back then? I remember they mention of it a few times in the episode. Of course then Crockett gets one.
Yes made from 1984 to 1996
Ferrari Testarossa!
Love the tone of the song from the scene
So that’s what happened to Mr Vernon after he likely got sacked from Shermer High School in 1984.
Castillo calling the shots like a boss
Deadly ninja man of few words
2021!!!!!
We love Miami Vice!!!!❤️
Smart man
Airwolf and Liam Nesson...yeah 80's Baby
Airwolf guest starring on Miami Vice. Along with Richard Vernon of Shermer High School (the great Paul Gleason)
You want another day of detention??? 😅

They should had an airwolf/Miami vice crossover
Anyone know the name of this track, it’s so f***ing cool.
"Taking the Testarossa". DAMN that's one bad ass Ferrari.
Miami Vice was the best show ever in my opinion, but the fashion and music put it in a vacuum, and not to mention how well Vice has aged, and yeah some episode had a few errors, and a few times the prologue wouldn't make sense for the story being shown, or the nuances to set the tone for the audience just wasn't aligned. With Mann you always knew the synopsis and what he was going after, and even with the blemishes, it was very hard to notice what, if anything was missing, and most of the time it was just something illogical that contradicted some small earlier event. When you did catch a plot hole, most of the inconsistencies didn't hurt Vice. Truth be told it probably helped, because you might not of had time for the dialogue needed to get the episode out in just under an hour. Some of the later episodes plots needed more work too, but this is just a MV experts two cents, Lol.
Crockett just got two more Saturdays in detention for that shot….
Cool as ever and with a very funky unreleased track of Jan Hammer!
This is so rad! They are a bunch of cool cats.
That we are
Lmao 3:36
I love how all the amateur villains in Miami Vice used to have this leg spread apart stance and just try to go nuts with the automatics 😂
And the at 3:43 when they got shot they felt the need to fire off a few more rounds aimlessly 😂🤣
The Iconic Storm trooper Aim
We all know that Samurai Cop would've blown up the van, lit the the driver on fire then yell, "Freeze!"
Airwolf reference, huh?
That clown they arrested looked like prince harrold
Who would've guessed it; Miami-Dade police got their hands on the "AirWolf " helo !
So he went West on Bay road then he turned West on 39th? I believe that is the Nexus of the universe.
Because both this series and the short lived, cult classic cop show "Crime Story" were produced by Michael Mann, both series often used the same writers, directors, supporting actors, and guest stars. Dennis Farina, who made appearances on "Miami Vice" as crime lord Albert Lombard, became the star of "Crime Story" as series lead, Lt. Michael Torello.
Hey, the Vice team has Airwolf too!
Amazing goof at 3:44 the military guy is dead on side with his legs crossed. The white jacket guy gets killed a few metters before the ban.
At 3:56 the military guy is face DOWN on earth and his legs are not crossed anymore. The guy of the white jacket is laying in different position of where he got killed.
The bazooka's box is put in a different direction and you can see a gun near of the back tire which it wasn't.
Not a fan of crocketts fashion choice this season. Made him look older.
It’s ok I still looked good
@@sonnycrockett_92 well said detective.
@@franknitty79 thanks nitty
Santini was flying the chopper.
Testarossa, best car ever made!
I love my car
I wish this was on a channel that you didn't have to pay extra to watch.
This show was/is the best.
You could always invest about $35.00 with Amzn or WMt and buy the DVD set of the entire 5 seasons. Still want to catch these show intros though. Anyway, just a thought.

Dude puts on his sunglasses in a darkened parking garage AFTER arriving there. 😂 He's the kinda guy that wears them at night inside a club. (We've all seen them, maybe you're one) Is being a douchebag a requirement to be a bad guy or does it occur naturally? 🤣
I noticed throughout the series, that the producers budgeted almost zero dollars for fake blood.
WTF Airwolf!! :-O
Great show
3:45 Damn, Castillo transformed into some other guy for a few seconds...
Tessarossa means read head because the engine had red parts on it. Most of them came in shades of white, black or if you could not afford to get them painted production red. Classic 1980s Ferrari model.
Great Scenes ...crazy that they took that car an then painted it white , so C+T could use it. At htat time there ( pre internet ) was no way to get those informations.
Also noticed Airwolf guest starred in Miami Vice too.....
use the chain guns on airwolf!
The Bell really looks like The Lady....but sadly it`s a different chopper.
2:36 AirWolf?!??
Young folks today don't know what they r missing 2 day
They borrowed Air Wolf for this episode? LOL
Drrty Liam, hanging with the likes of Gleason and Fahey. Bad hat
at 2:48 was that the location of the chase of the warehouse scramble scene when tej and suki are in roman's and brian's cars while they were in the muscle cars
(2:27) Somehow I knew they would end up on that ubiquitous street on Miami Vice .... *"Biscayne."* 😎
they got airwolf and the black ferrari amazing which later painted to white
Wow, they even got Airwolf in on some of this action.
what is the soundtrack BGM title?
when irish eyes are crying.
@@abdulqudz89 thanks a lot!
I believe that this is one of Jan Hammer's musical pieces that he scored for most of the show's run. 🎶🤓✌️
This episode showed sympathy towards the IRA and lacked the understanding as to why they were never to be trusted.
The video quality is superb
WTF! The chief was flyin' in AIRWOLF!? 😂😮😎🤘🏼
The soon-to-be-WHITE Testarossa that Crockett later used as his main ride 😁

There has never been a testaroseahh The were Testarossa, it means "red heads". Luckily, my wife has one!
excellent supercopter ?
Welcome to Trope City.
The 80's was the only decade you could have made this show, the soundtrack is just pure alchemy.
32 years later and the show is still cool, but as an adult it is easy to see the many mistakes in this scene.
The bad guys should have noticed that they were tailed by the cops. It is ridiculous that one of the bad guys wears military fatigues. When the bad guys got shot, they didn't bleed. The bad guys should have been suspicious of a helicopter following them. The bad guys didn't take cover before they opened fire. And they didn't really take aim. The cops in the helicopter were completely exposed and it was the head of the police unit who took them down. The traitor cop was declared to be under arrest before he had his gun taken away from him.
And this was a police operation involved the illegal sale and smuggling of a stinger missile and still there were only four undercover cops tailing the bad guys. Also, the two female cops at HQ were wearing very expensive high class fashion clothing.
Like I said, a very stylistic and cool scene, but extremly unrealistic.
lol you're gonna critique this particular scene...of all the scenes you could have broken down it had to be the one with more goofs than Troll 2.
@@johndawhale3197 do you think that I should have chosen another scene to give my opinions about? Perhaps a scene that I would critique less? And how would you know that I haven't written something about other scenes.
Look Miami Vice is an iconic series that was revolutionary for its time and it had an enormous impact on film production and quite frankly, world culture.
I watched most episodes when I was a kid. I loved Miami Vice and traveled there inspired by the series.
Many or most shootout scenes in Miami Vices are good, but some, including this one, were silly. The actors are great but the director is sloppy and lazy. The production team had a very big budget and spent lavishly on cinematography and actors. What the directors didn't do was to get some SWAT team leader as a consultant so that all scenes would be as realistic as possible.
@@thabomuso2575 Yah some episodes are better at action than others for some reason. The episode that comes before this one chronologically "El Viejo" with Willie Nelson is my personal favourite episode. The action in that one feels a bit more refined.
Does anyone know where can I watch the complete series? Haven't been able to find where :(
I believe Hulu has it. Personally I prefer the DVD's, but that's just me...
@@Deborahtunes I’ll check Hulu out, thank you! I would also prefer DVDs but could not find any being sold in my country or nearby, and the shipping skyrockets further 😂
