Crockett: "WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN' ON HERE?!!"
Sonny was puzzled to say the least.
That's my favorite part of this scene. 😂
One of the best lines in this most fantastic episode.
@@georgewilkinson1068 "Surf's Up, Pal!!"
Bushido is one of the best episodes of the show's entire run. They could've made an entire movie out of all the back story and great character development. But no one could ever play Castillo like Edward James Olmos. He was given complete creative control of his character by Michael Mann, and went on to create a fascinating character. Bushido is a result of Olmos' creative skill for sure.
I love surf in it.
Amen brother...
Wait the character was basically created by the actor playing it? I had no idea, that's amazing..
@Pewling He meant his personality & demeanor. I worked at a Theater saw young James Olmos, in a play called "Zoot Suit," he/they got standing ovations, nught after night, aftee night!
**James Edward Olmos**
Better than any hollywood movie ! You can feel the tension and the heat. Absolutely great.
Almost 40 years on and Zito coming out of the sand is still the coolest thing I've seen in television.
Crockett: It's snowin' on the beach
That's me on the bike at 0:08. My dad was a stuntman and he got me on😁
Good on you man!
Yoda man👍
That's awesome!!!
@@rmx01indiana It was pretty cool. Never met any of the bigger actors though. They have such a tight filming schedule its insane. Got to stand next to Trudy tho! Lol
😱 wow!!!!!
THE GREATEST TEASER IN TELEVISION HISTORY, IMO...
Bryan ferry boys and girls song. Perfect for this night scene 🔝😍🎶🌴💕
That whole album sounds like Miami Vice. They actually used 3 songs from it, but they are all great. 😎
the brilliance of Bryan Ferry ... this song/album only a small sampling !!!
His "Windswept" was featured in S2 E1 "The Prodigal Son"!
The best intro ever, snowing on the beach people.
Thank you!!!
1980----2021-----
We love ♥️Miami Vice!!!!
I would say that the "civilian" had the drop on the crew.
Miami Vice was RED HOT in season 2. Thanks for this video.....more from Bushido, please :)
Amen brother...
Been waiting for this for a long time. Bryan Ferry's song and a great acting by Dean Stockwell and of course J.E Olmos made this episode memorable, along with Jan Hammer's score
Amen brother...
At the time, this episode didn’t grab me. I was 15 I think. I watch it now and this intro is excellent!
I just want to be undercover as a cup on the beach. literally for anything.
This has always been the funniest scene in Miami Vice for me, and one of my favorites. So glad there's finally a video for it.
Could be one of the best Miami Vice openings. The Waterboys Be Mine Enemy too with the speed boat could be second!
My favorite 3 episodes are Out Where the Busses Don't Run, Evan, and Bushido. In that order.
@@parrisgeorge9708 dope choices...
Definitely Miami a sleeper as well
Agreed, it's also a montage of literally everything 1980's, the music, the colors of the walls, roller skating (pre-rollerblades) the kid doing BMX tricks next to a teenager pushing a baby carriage late at night. Anyone my age or older remember parents were not aware of anything the kids were doing - mine didn't in the summers - but some had a street light rule, street lights come on you go home. This scene here though is really choreographed perfection. I'm going to find the speed boat intro, I don't remember it.
"Lend me an ear"
I loved this scene. Crockett busts in the bathroom to find a dead drug dealer and DEA agent tied up.
This opening scene is amazing and my favorite part of the whole episode. 🤩🤩😍😍🥰🥰
I Like How Jack Gretzky ( 🙏🏾 Dean Stockwell ) Knew They Were Cops & Knew All Their Positions!
Yet, He Only Clipped The Drug Dealer! All Out His Love & Respect For His Friend, Martin Castillo 👌!
no ones commenting on how awesome the guy who was hiding in the sand was. I bet he won all the hide-and-seek matches as a kid.
This would have been a great opportunity to put Crockett and Tubbs on roller-skates as part of their deep cover
5:10
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!!
Luv it,1 of my favorite scenes in a great episode. Luv Zito, stakeout god
Zito ... simply the BEST !!!
If you like this song, listen to the WHOLE ALBUM (with this title track) “Boys and Girls” by Bryan Ferry from 1985. You won’t be disappointed. 😎
Agreed. His best solo LP. Many wonderful guest musicians.
Bete Noire - 1987 - as good ... Bryan's brilliance for many decades ... Oliver Thompson incredible guitarist on later albums
@@brucewayne3602 I think Bryan Ferry has made Miami Vice music for many years. Even today. Same vibe. 😎
"They cut him up in little pieces and used him as bait."
"What did they catch?"
"Cute...."
The name of the title it's wrong, this scene it's known as WHAT THE HEEEELLL IT'S GOING ON HEEEERE 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I vote for "You went in the Men's room with Half a Million Dollars and ended up with no money and your pants around your ankles, PAL"
;-)
Miami Vice had some of the best lines of any show ever. It was so cool to see the whole team so perfectly positioned to do their thing. Zito after being buried in the sand: Hit the dirt! Man, I always wanted to do that 😎
Thanks to this channel so much. Its hard to spot a Miami Vice series nowadays
always #1 with a bullet !!!
Superb.
One dislike? Maybe the one in the bathroom that got busted
Trudy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
4:07
Nobody is gonna talk about the fact that Trudy slid her way to one of the henchmen
😱😂
Edit
Never mind I forgot she had a roller skates on lol
It's your kidney shorty,put the down,stand still & I'll be your date
Special Forces...
Medals,
Khaki Underwear...
Talks like Rambo
Rumored to be... _"Bad"_ 😁
This show was a Singularity!
Music, Fashions,Color Pallette, Cinematography, Boats, Cars, Planes.
The show had fantastic dialogue and atmosphere!!!
2:48 you can see Mex standing there holding a jacket over his Mac 10, then a few seconds later he comes walking up off the beach with his crew.
Classic scene, I luv it ❤
The perp with the pompadour haircut who says "After you" was Windows in John Carpenter's"The Thing".
And Fox from the Warriors
He was in an NYPD Blue episode, said some racist insults and almost got a an lesson on manners, from Lt Fancy. Did a great job.
One of best opening scenes of the series. You had no idea where the story was headed next but knew it was going to be one helluva ride.
How nice, More vice, Miami. 🌴. One of thee best opening Scenes, ever for any Crime drama show. 😃 Surf's up, Pal...
Hot Trudy
This show had cool music
Probably the best opening scene I've ever seen on a tv show. Nearly 40 years later I still remember it. There is like 12 clues to what the episode is about in this first scene....amazing.
The allure of the sailboats was such that the Endeavour 42 used for the 1986 season of Miami Vice was sold to a midwest couple, while the Endeavour 40, was sold to a chartering service in Fort Lauderdale. At the same time, Endeavour was building a new 42 for the 1987 season of Miami Vice.
So far ahead of its time using tracking shots movie quality production for a tv show first of its time
just noticed aftet 5th viewing the mystery guy sits end of the bench in the start
Miami vice expetacular seriado oss
The episode that introduced me to Bryan Ferry (and subsequently Roxy Music)......
"Boys and Girls" album definitely a must-get. No excuses......
"Windswept" was featured in S2E1 "The Prodigal Son"!
Great one 👌
Awesome
I wanna know Flex, Mex and Pex origin story
It's hot and humid and the bad guys are wearing long sleeve shirts and jackets
So are the good guys.
Filming must have been horrible in those suits. The humidity is miserable.
@@dougstyles No bottled water for Crockett and Tubbs, either. You could tell those dudes were getting parched.
police this county. two good detectives and Lt .
Jack swoops in.
-Message to Vin Diesel, the new producer of the future TV show "Miami Vice" that he wants to remake; Can you PLEEEAAASE Jesse Johnson, Don Johnson's son, as an actor for the character Sonny Crockett (like his father in the 1980's), because he is an excellent actor (he knows how to render, like his father, the emotional, physical and introspective side of the characters he plays), and also, because he looks so much like his father, that for "Miami Vice", it would be the most judicious and intelligent choice for this new series.

Well, time to put the CD in the Blu player and watch full episode. Thank you again for the clips 😊👍
& all the rest
@@brucewayne3602 Absolutely Bruce!!
I distinctly remember seeing this part of the episode when I was a kid when this first aired (usually I was only allowed to watch the intro and then it was bed time). That image of the dealer upside down was disturbing as all get out.
Datz horrible! It wuz Friday nite. Whut did u haveta do, Saturday morning, dat u couldn't stay up 2 watch MIAMI VICE?
Lol. Good luck trying to use your gun, Zito. Should have wrapped it in a plastic bag first.
The guy with the gun pointed at him would not have known that. You have to be very brave or very stupid to take any risk with a gun in your back. I know I would not take that risk.
i drawn out into a sleep world and dream
"Snowing on the Beach"
Only in Miami can you have sweltering heat in the Autumn. My guess is this was originally shot in late July/early August.
This night scene is so thick with atmosphere - Edward James Olmos did a fantastic job acting and directing.
I knew something was up with that guy with the bedroll. I thought he was with the cops but apparently not.
look ahead
specicial forces.
walk around in the dark. look out ahead.
i break
What the h*ll is going on here! ☀️🌴🥥

Ocean drive in Miami Beach in the 80's!!
Great episode. In my top 5.
