I recommend that you first blend with water. Then strain the pulp and add the sugar and ice. You can also blend the lemon in water, and let stand for a day at room temperature. The acid in the lemon is an antiseptic like vinagre; thus the oils in the lemon peel can leech in to the lemon water solution. Then you can strain the pulp, and blend with sugar and ice. Experiment with fresh ginger as you steep the blended lemon.
I do this same method BUT I only add 1/4 to one 1/2 of the outside of the lemon that works great .I have tried the e entire lemon but too bitter. this is the only way I make it now.

It doesn’t taste like chicken- if you have a large mouth juicer or juicer that’s not a citrus juicer you can half your lemons take out the seeds and push them through your juicing shoot and make Juice from the rind and lemon which makes a very delicious purée and juice for lemonade I tried it and it’s delicious
I totally admire with you. My two little girls have made there one lemonade stand to sell lemonade on the street. I thought that the Vitamix would be a winner… because…. it is a Vitamix! Not so! It was terrible. Could not figure it out. I tried several different combinations to no avail. :-(

You are suppose to zest lemon, peel it , cut lemon in half , juice it, remove seeds , put zest, water, juice and seedless flesh in blender. Now strain. Add sugar to strained water blend with added ice. Big difference in flavor. And if you really want something special add zest to water and sugar and make simple syrup. But do the other stuff I said 1 lemon 2 cups water taste terrific.

Fave summer drink I'm so happy I had the idea for it because all the sour plum drinks around my neighborhood are made with salty sour plum candy and it's too salty for me. This recipe would be really great for the inner part of halved Meyer lemons leaving the rind for proper spoon scraping and eating and then either using the rind for zest or just tossing. I had a feeling this wasn't gonna work. Try the sour plum drink you won't be disappointed!
The best way is drink it all. Peels and all the lemon. Do not strain it NO NO pulp is fiber. Wise to drink or eat whole lemons. Yummy and nutritional. Some strain it and it's like throw away all the best parts the rind and whole lemon. I make it yummy. Honey or .maple syrup

With the juicer method you won’t eat the pulp but you will eat the lemon rind zest and the juice
You're supposed to filter what you make in the blender, with a sieve or "nut bag" or whatever, not drink directly.
There is no particular roadmap. Filter, don't filter. Up to the individual, much like wearing a mask
