Great video! I remember asking a while ago about this and you went into detail here. Thank you. In the topic of haptics and motion, it would be awesome if you can do a detailed review on the RS Mega. There are plenty of videos showcasing it but no in depth reviews. You can talk about your experience, any caveats, responsiveness, suggested settings, what does and does not do well. You would be the go to review. Again, thank you
Unless you somehow completely decouple the four buttkickers from each other you will never get that "surround sound feedback" people try to obtain by using this many haptic speakers. Put one under the seat and maybe one under the pedals and call it a day.
It can help with racing games that lack road surface detail, using audio data to make the experience look less flat. But the actuators themselves are capable of giving very good detail vibration wise already 👍 BTW, thank you for this series of videos. They are very helpful!!
Thank you! QQ: for the Thanos controller, can I update its firmware whenever one is released or i’ll have to wait for eracing lab to approve it to make sure it works well with their system?
@@simul8master sorry missed this message until now. Yes you can update to latest firmware, no problem. Eracing-lab logo branding and settings are available holding left button and press reset now. You may need to adjust for the extra TL and Surge actuators in the current Fix7 firmware though. Next firmware will have factory preset for these as well by default..
I also run an e-Racing Labs motion setup but with a single Buttkicker Pro, and yes I would probably have come to the same conclusion if I were to mount 4 of them on the corners. The eRacing Labs haptics are quite good for corner haptics. However, a single Buttkicker Pro mounted under the seat using the TR square mount (i also additionally strapped it down to keep unwanted vibrations, I can send pic) and using Hapticonnect for ACC, there is quite a bit of extra immersion here for engine vibrations, and gear shifts, and even some additional wheel slip effects that will really compliment your motion setup. Try a single one directly under your seat, I think youll like this config better.
Ok mate I have my setup as you 1 butkicker ouder seat I only use mine for gear change ! I don't know about you but it looks to me like he has his motion far to aggressive?
@@andrewcrawford2093100% agree. He’s moving left and right none stop when the car is going down a straight part of the track 😅 way way way too much motion and out of 25 years in race cars I’m yet to see one move the driver this much 😅
@Simlife101 OK mate.there's loads of sim racers have to much movement on there motion ,I also find it funny as I'm a triple screen user and the amount of triple screen users who have there outer screens far to far apart I think what's the point there losing out on the immersion of feeling like your in a car.
Hi, thanks for all the videos. I just got my eracing lab kit. I currently have a Dayton Audio BST-300 under my seat. I’m trying to decide whether to remove or keep. If I remove it, it will be before I install the eracing kit so I won’t have chance to run them simultaneously. Just based on your testing, what would you do. I will yield to your experience. Thanks in advance.
Keep it. One under the seat is fine and you can run it together with the eracing lab kit. If you have 4 corners or planning to add them, then it’s a waste and you wont feel a thing. The haptics on the eracing lab kit is pretty good.
I tried it on other pedals outputs, found it all too much and it did not help with my driving. ABS only did help - FI. those little haptic motors did not work that well for me. @@simul8master
I have one coming; was planning on putting it under my seat and then adding the two Simagic haptics to the gas and brake pedals. Hope that’s also a good option. Or, since I haven’t bought the Simagic haptics yet, just the BK Pro under the pedals? (Without motion it doesn’t seem to potentially add much to do only one thing for ABS)

I will for sure

Any tips on tuning or profile for srs for iracing motion?
I won’t be getting a motion system so maybe make me a deal on the Buttkickers system you have. 😂😂
@simul8master Can you tell me monitor size and the width on the side closest to you please?
Hey! These are 48 inch LG C3's OLEDs. Sorry but which closet are you talking about?
Motion sim is the end game. But why aren’t you using VR? It’ll come to life.
I don’t get why your moving so much when driving down a straight road lol mine is much much smoother than this using Simhub
Just place one Butt kicker on the pedal plate and connect it to ABS only, were it is supported. Thank me later 🙂
I actually added separate haptics to each pedal. I will have a video on this soon. But yea makes a difference.

The motion system will just cancel out the Buttkickers entirely...unnecessary duplication IMO
Exactly.
