Hello Hoppers! This is the first train ride in my 3-week trip through northern Italy. After a wonderful 2 days in Bergamo, I went to the train station to catch a train to my next stop, Milan. In the video, I explain all the details of how I got to the Bergamo train station and how I got my tickets. I show a bit of the lower city of Bergamo and the ride to Milan. Once in Milan, I show you Milan's impressive Central Train Station (Milano Centrale) and how I get to my hotel.

Took the train for the first time in Italy a couple of weeks ago. Once you get the hang of it it's very easy.
I agree. It is easy and very reasonably priced!
@@MuchoHop yes I thought so too. And in summer many stations have an offer where children travel for free. Paid nothing for my daughter on all 4 trips ☺️
@@Stelia2010 that is really fantastic! Thanks for sharing this info with us!!!
Hi. Useful video. Plenty of good tips! Heading to Milan by train and beyond next month. Thanks for sharing. Happy travels!
Thanks for watching! Glad it was useful. Look out for my Milan video in a week or two. Have a great trip!!
Thank you for everything.
Thank you for watching and supporting my channel!
❤love this . Thankyou !
Glad you liked it!!!
Hi. Nice video. When i went to Milano i've never seen the place to validate my train ticket.
The inspector asked me why. I said: macchinetto? Where was it placed? I've never seen it.
But i had my ticket, so the inspector validate it for me.
Do you know where are we supposed to validate the ticket in the train?
You have to validate it in the station. Usually, there are 2-3 machines in each plateform.
@@oe4270 ohh, ok.thanks. I guess next time i will look for it. 😊
Rit. Is a short for “Ritardo” meaning delay (minutes of the delay will be shown under)
8:09 how miiuch was the tickret to the milan station from bergamo?
I am kinda confused becasue how can I get from bergamo airport to bergamo statiion first?
Hello, I show all the details in the video. I talk about the tickets at minute 6:40. The second class, ordinary train ticket was 5.80€ and first class was 8.70€. The prices have gone up a little since I published this video. To go to Bergamo Airport you take the Number 1 bus. I show how I went from Bergamo Airport to Bergamo City in this video starting at minute 10:12 ua-cam.com/video/y6g0IsRIVyo/v-deo.htmlsi=FJ-Nlpm72FKF9vbh. It is the same Number 1 bus just in the opposite direction. I hope this helps.
Could you just ride the bus to Milan from there as well?
Yes, the public transportation is really good in the Milan area. You could take a bus to Milan either from the Airport as I mentioned in my Valencia-Bergamo video or from the Bergamo Bus Station and depending on the time, from Bus 1 at Porta Nuova, that goes to the Airport, and take another bus there to Milan.
What app did you used to buy the train ticket ?
I used the app TrenItalia for trains within Italy. I talk more about trains and transportation in my Getting Around Milan video ua-cam.com/video/djXDUS1bp9s/v-deo.html and will have another video of the Central Train Station. Hope this helps!
@@MuchoHop it helps a lot, thank you so much 🤗
Glad it helped!! Thanks for watching my videos 😊
Please suggest if 22 minutes are enough to change train at Milano station? I will be going from Florence to Interlaken (Switzrld) and have to change train at Milan.
If there are no delays on your Florence-Milan train, 22 minutes should be enough. When you get off the train go directly to the screens to see what platform your train to Interlaken leaves from. You just have to go from one platform to another. There are 24 tracks so the worst scenario would be going from 1 to 24 and even that won’t take 20 minutes. Let us know how it goes!! Happy Travels 🤗
@@MuchoHop That is a big relief. Thanks for your kind reply, you really helped me.
@@MuchoHop I visited Milan in September 2023 end. 22 minutes connection was more than enough (as you already explained). it took me less than 10 minutes to reach my next platform. Thanks for your help.
Great to hear!!! Thanks for sharing this info with us 🥰
