Lmaooo i was dying to his reaction when his friend said he would try. It was a good warning. Hell even ARAM can get toxic and thats supposed for be just for fun. League gameplay is mostly a sweaty and toxic competitive scene, not what the show seems as a open world and deep story.
the best discussions and analyses i've heard of the show and its characters have come from people who knew nothing about league of legends, so it'll be cool to see both perspectives here. the lore from the game that this show references pales in comparison to the amount of fresh storytelling and character/world building they've added here. i've always loved league lore, but this show's writing was next level imo.

Honestly, I think Arcane is even better for people that don't know League of Legends. Foreknowledge of the characters kind of ruins some of the tension in the story when you know who is going to 'make it' and so you can't ever really feel like their lives are actually on the line whereas someone with no idea who is who will have a fucking rollercoaster. I envy those who have the opportunity to meet these characters and the world here with this story, I wish I could have had that experience.
I honestly don't think that's a problem. I've played, and know most of the champions, but they did the bit in ep 9 so well that I honestly believed it was possible they'd killed a champion. . I think even people familiar with the game will still get the same experience.

Arcane's animation and rendering is blended 2d and 3d with the texture, color grading, and the animation. Which is pretty revolutionary nowadays just like the Spiderverse animation. And I'm so glad Riot approved this art style and didn't go to Disney cliche of animation style or your typical Japanese anime style.
Arcane is honestly better to watch when you are coming into it without any knowledge of the game as you really don't know who will survive or what they will become by the end of it.
I fucking love powder - Vi in all these episodes 1-9 fire season , fire character , fire story line , made me get attached to the characters and can’t wait for season 2 . Show is peak fiction

I still DON'T wanna play LoL, but I'd definitely check some more offers. Also, if this Dishonored/Mirror's Edge universe they created WAS an actual game, I'd play the hell outta that.

I think at some point in season 2 they have to kill real characters from the game that are in the show
