Thanks to your video I was able to confirm that my blend door was broken, I had to remove the glove compartment in order to have access to the evaporator temp. Sensor
You shouldn't have to remove the glovebox.

I have a 2012 camaro, I am getting cold air and no heat, my first thought was thermostat but now not sure....this issue should be a GM recall

@@Diego-sj8gj Thermostat was bad and the blend door was cracked, did the youtube way, cut a hole and ...but I am getting codes have to have them cleared after disconnecting ECM.
I have a 2015 Camaro and I believe my blend door is broken but I took it to a shop and they said they'll have to run a diagnostic test to determine which blend door is broken, guy at the shop said it's like 5 different blend doors on the Camaros, I thought it was only one blend door. Is this true?
There are 3 doors total, the "Blend Air Door", The "Recirculation Door" and the "Mode door. The blend air door blends the hot and cold together to get the temp you want, the recirc door brings in outside air or inside air, and the mode door changes from defrost, face vents, or floor vents. The only door that will cause the air to either not be cold or not be hot is the blend air door also known as the Air Temp door which is the one that always breaks.

did u have to twist that thing at all or do u just pull it out when u get in unhooked?
Once you turn the sensor about 1/4 turn it will pull out.

Literally just replaced my blend door few days ago without taking out the dash.also replaced the actuator just so I know it’s new
Hopefully your did a re-learn on the actuator stroke position. If not there will be a dramatically shorter lifespan on the new blend door, the re-calibration keeps the new actuator from over stroking one way or the other. Just a heads up, its in the scan tools under Special Functions or and shop with a decent scanner can hook you up with a re-learn

So if it’s not the blend door what would cause the ac not being cool ? The sensor? Ac compressor? I just bought a 13 camaro lt rs and the ac was working alittle but two days later it don’t work at all.
It might be low on refrigerant.

@@737mechanic could a bad alternator cause my a/c issues cuz the alternator went out on Friday had it towed home called the dealership.
I guess GM could have some kind of programming that if the voltage is too low the AC will not engage. I don't know if they do or not.
Would i need to replace the blend door on my 2014 camaro if My ac blows cold on driver side but lukewarm on passenger side? Oe could it be something else?
Make sure it is fully charged.
@@737mechanic was going to add some refrigerant but it was already in the green zone. One side is always cold and the other is warm whether i have temperature on the coldest or warmest setting
@@ISILENTNINJAI You shouldn't have dual-zone climate control so it shouldn't make a difference.

When heat stops blowing, ita a cheap piece of plastic, just waiting to crawl. My 2015 has had no heat for months. I got the part, asking mechanic

Yes it could be. When your A/C is on feel the aluminum tube on the driver's side of the engine compartment next to the master cylinder. "Where you add brake fluid" The tube should be cold. If it is that means the A/C is working and probably the door is broken and not closing off the heater core. You have both cold air and heat being mixed together.
I’m having the same issue. It blows cold out of one vent but doesn’t blow hot at all.

@@tapiocasan8755 It means there is a problem other than the blend air door. Such as low refrigerant or the compressor is not working or something else. Before you suspect the blend door make sure that tube is ice cold first.
Replaced mine 18 months ago. Broke again about 2 months ago. Ugh.

Sometimes the blend door will be in the bottom of the HVAC box so you have to reach in and dig it out.
