And I like how Kitaro has a unique sprite for each of his sides since he lacks a left eye because when he was born,the blood banker that buried his mother's corpse (In which he crawled out of and dug through) threw him at the edge of a gravestone when Kitaro was crawling on his shoulder

this game looks smooth as hell 2003 no wonder~ you can tell it was a later title because the music didn't crapily loop this could be sold today and ppl'd think it was nearly new.

鬼太郎といえばFC版しかしらなかったので綺麗な敵グラと雰囲気の再現度にびっくり。鬼太郎の走る時の腕の角度が原作ぽくてイイ

ゲーム好きでさらに鬼太郎ファンとしては手に入れたい一品だが
プレミアついて3万円以上するとなるとさすがに手がでない
発売当時はそれほど鬼太郎ファンではなかったからなあ
このソフトと同時にps2、ゲームボーイアドバンスでもソフトが発売された
こちらの二作品は所有しているのだが、アドバンス版の方はもはや
妖魔大血戦並みにプレミア価格になっている
ちなみにPS2版は今なら3000から4000円
これもなかなか値崩れしていないけど、まだ購入できる値段
鬼太郎ゲーム恐るべしですね
From 2024, i still remember this game when i was a little child, had no much fear at start but at second boss had some fear, still i like this, remember games that i have watched a long time ago, time flies fast

@@sarafontanini7051 That's the eye with the "hair" on top of its head right? In Ninja Kid, thye're are two eye beings. A round one, which gives you an extra life. Another with noodle hair, which kills you.
This game is too impressive. On both sides that the character looks, you realize that he doesn't have a left eye.

I owned the Gegege no Kitarou on NES and I played the SNES version on my grandma's house when I was young (I remember that game was hard as hell lol)
Graphics of this game is so cute and mystic in one. I would like to play this game with english translation patch.

If you want another like this by Konami, they did Kaette Kita Cyborg Kuro-chan for the PS1 around the same period.
I would recommend Ganbare Goemon Space Pirate Akokingu as well and the other two 2D Goemon games, but it has a language barrier at some points and needs a FAQ.

PS1! This was most likely the original voice actor for Father Eyeball... You can really hear the years in his voice, especially when compared to other people's impersonations of the character.

This looks great and I like how it is spooky. This was when Japan got better games than us which is ancient history now.
Huh, I was expecting Dracula's attacks to be some a reference to Castlevania.
If anything, it looks like it might be the other way around: his bats attack really reminded me of Dracula from Dracula X Chronicles and Order of Ecclesia.
Although his fire and thunder attacks also kind of like Shaft's...?
That's because it was Konami repurposing the Castlevania engine for other games. They did this a lot.
