I dont think anyone minds long videos. In fact i think most of us, myself included, would enjoy long videos.
I agree.
It did not feel like 19:35, went by.
Anyone who does not like long videos should try doing this their selves
I couldn't stop watching if it was a 2-hour video
Very nice job on that. I had always thought the Rodger Dodger was a fantasy casting, so I’m happy that you set me straight. It turned out great, congrats!
I just picked up a couple of modern Rodger Dodger magic 8 balls. I painted one orange and threw on some modified general lee water slides and it turned out sweet.
Great work man. Love the way it turned out with the new wheels 👌🏽
Great one just loved it could you make a custom with white body and red interior
Get a load of that shine ! Stunning ! This channel has some of the best paint finishes by far.
Thanks Mr.Volvo I really try to do the best I can, that's 16 videos on the channel now, and probably 17 cars I've ever worked on. Still a novice but working on it :D
Those cars that you've been bringing back to life so very beautifully, must have been owned by a kid who (a); Really, really loved black and gold cars, or (b); only had black and gold paint. Never much of a fan of model cars with stupidly huge 'blown' engines, but even I must admit that the 'Roger Dodger' is a stone cold classic. The finished result is awesome. Marty, of 'Marty's Matchbox Makeovers' uses those chrome pens - but only to deposit a drop of ink on to a hard surface. He then applies the paint with a tiny brush. It doesn't seem to clump up. I've tried using the chrome ink that way, and it works.
Thanks Brian! :D I have a feeling it was a grown man who was painting these up. I talked to the guy a little bit after I won the ebay auction asking if he had more!
He probably tried to recreate the 50 year hotwheels edition. I got that style rodger dodger and it looks very familiar with that ‘paintjob’
Very badass and beauty rodger dodger. Soo crazy red with black color .you bring back to life and the road. Super like
As soon as October month comes I'm going to fix up more plastic 1/25 Revell. You gave me ideas for painting. Thank you. 🚗😀
I took your advice and recently ordered the chrome pen. I got the 1 mm and the 2 mm. I am in Canada and ordered from Amazon.ca. I have built models for 55yrs now. I just do 1/18th scale diecast now. I have used every product out there through the years looking for that elusive factory look chrome. Obviously only dipping is the perfect one but this product is close to it.So far I have only used it on a wheel that had some chrome rubbed off part of the lip. I had read that it takes awhile to dry so I gave it a couple of days before mounting back on the car. It looks great. This old dog loves learning new things to make my hobby more enjoyable. I love your videos.
Great news brother! I'm glad that worked out for you, those pens are so fun to mess around with!
@@DiecastResurrection Are you still going to do that 1970 Seasider?
OP i just commented about how i have to coat any molotowed bits with some brushed on future because molotow chrome does not work well with any handling no matter how long it dries. the future finish will dull it a hair but itll still be the most chrome look you can get, regardless...and it can be handled.
Awesome job, that red paint really pops and the casting of the body is saaaaweeeet! 😎👍
Thanks Mat!
Would love to see you paint the engine blocks and do more detail to them, regardless you do awesome work my guy
That engine is sooo small. Id have to pluck a single hair to use as a paint brush! I don't think I have the talent yet to pull that off without being trolled lol. We will work up to that!
@@DiecastResurrection What about a wash of thin black ink to add some depth to the crooks and nannies and highlight the raised parts?
Informative, creative, hilarious and relaxing.
beautiful custom Roger Dodger
this guy sounds like Garfield, and also customize hotwheels cars,i think i have found my favorite UA-cam channel
I always watch on 2x so I was confused for a min. I switched back to regular speed then I heard it hah
Brotherman, your videos are a riot, I really enjoy watching your videos. They give me the inspiration to start working on my cars and trucks.
Thanks Brother! I like to have fun while I work!
Fantastic video I’d love to get on to restore
The noises you make are hilarious LOL Love the way it came out!
Thanks PinkLady, just trying to amuse myself while I work!
Always loved my hot wheels. I got plenty in my attic in boxes. Mostly in mint condition. Need to get them out and look at them.
Looks good, but personally I would like to see the vinyl top go all the way down the back posts but good looking car 👍
What a beaut! The engine and exhaust look so much better than the new Rodger Dodgers.
Ohhhh LADIES.....step in line step in line!!!! It will only take a minute. Have a seat have a treat. That’s right just sit your self on the hood of this “Roger Dodger” and feel the shimmy shimmy shake this engine makes. Candy apple red is “ jus fine, jus fine”, for this sweet ride.
Oh my....
Diecast Resurrection ❤️
Awesome job buddy looks great thanks for sharing 👍👍
I love your videos! I travel a lot and having something light, fun, funny, and interesting to watch in the hotel room at night is awesome! Thank you for all the hard work, your restorations are great!
Love it, so much work, but it’s paid off. Well done.
wow, that looks clean! Nice upgrade man 👍
Looks great!! The red really makes it "POP"! I want to redo my black '69 Dodge Charger 500. Maybe find a big motor to add to it...
This is gonna be a great week!
I'm swamped trying to do a car everyday, its a good taste of what it would be like to do this full time though. Working on 2 projects a day while waiting on paint to dry! I'm glad you appreciate it my man.
I used a Rodger Dodger from the classic series 3. It has a chrome plated casting and metal base. I used a transparent blue with custom water slide graphics. Upgraded the wheels to FTE wheels for racing.
Dude love your channel. Dont change for no one.
I had one of these when I was a kid. I loved that little car! It was a white one with orange, yellow, and purple decals.
Roger Dodger fan here, especially the Magic 8 Ball version 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎉
I'd say it looks really good. Keep in mind, you notice flaws that other people won't.
Awesome job on the car, nice color also.
Thanks my dude!
Nice build, I am also a fan of the length of this video. I think its right in the sweet zone. Not too short not too long. Just enough to get the job done right
Just perfection!! My absolute favorite casting!! 👍🏻
Oh, wow! That is not a car. It is a thing of beauty! I only wish I could hear that engine in real life.
Looks great, I like how you ended just past the side glass, instead of taking it all the way the rear glass👍👍
Sweet Dodge! The vinyl top is the extra mile!
Love the sound effects. 👍🤣
That Roger Dodger is AWESOME!! Great job on the chrome and hardtop!!
They make a hand press. You can mount a cord drill to it to make a drill press. Had one while back before I moved back to Michigan.
The Bob Ross of restorations 👍
This videos are just so entertaining. I love the sound effects he adds.
Great outcome! (as always). I'm really excited for the mercedes!
Ill never find a hood for it :(
@@DiecastResurrection ah damn.. Make a custom v8 swap? Would be interesting
When I heard enamel paint I first was a bit disappointed, but wow with that effort you've put in it really looked great!
Great video, man. Been watching you since you started. I discovered this whole world of classic hot wheels restoration just by accident. Started out watching bare metal hw but then you started up too. Great job you do, keep it up.
I think there are 4 channels now that are really watchable. This of course, baremetalHW, WheelsNThangs and Marty's Matchbox Makeovers.
@@Davedarko TBH, they are the top channels.
She's a beaut, Clark. A real beaut.
Excellent work!!
I can watch these videos all day.... who am I kidding.... I have lol
When I first came across Baremetals Channel I binge watched the whole thing lol
That's not a beauty, that's a BEAST!
It looked cool all red
Can you please do a full customized build with old random bodies and parts you have laying around and maybe a setup review so we can see ur whole work space!!!!!ur #1 by the way
Your videos are a joy to watch. Please keep 'em coming!
That's a really nice job and yes the red with the black roof is classic great stuff 👍
Excellent job!!!
Dude, the longer the better! (video I mean) :) Another great one, thanks.
I like your work thank you
Nice color
you can clean those plastic parts in sodiumhydroxide It takes the chrome and paint right off without damaging the plastic, I've done it tons of times, just let it soak for a few hours. Sodium hydroxide is usually sold as drain cleaner.
as its extremely caustic, you dont want to get it on your skin, it will start to dissolve right away.. works great on paint though XD
Oh that sounds like fun!
That Redline Shop Enamel is beautiful! Gonna get me some of them 3m sponges too - they look ridiculously practical!
Nice work. I generally don’t like vinyl top on muscle cars. But it did work. I just think you should do the whole roof.
Had a buddy that had one of these back in the day. 852-cubic-inch Hemi. Unbelievable. Fuel lines looked like garden hoses. 6 (US) gallons per mile.
Great paint finish, great car, great channel, great character.
Definitely one of the all time favorites. Great video 👍
I only just started watching your channel and I’m already binge watching your videos, keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks brother!
Love the Rodger Dodger!
My Moms 73 charger was white with a 318, side pipes and wheels. But Yours Looks Better. 😁
Wow! Awesome work. Fantastic prep & paintjob. Bitchin' ride.
Nice Ride! Enjoyed unwinding after work watching this one. Cheers!
The Roger Dodger engine is just an absolute unit.
“So yeah you don’t get to watch.....ok you can watch me a little” loool
That came out sweet! Man, 20 years ago we would have given anything for one of those chrome markers, Testors Metalizer never really cut it. Try some oven cleaner next time, instead of brake fluid. We used brake fluid for the longest time stripping models that were already built, but it did weird things, so Easy Off with the hand sprayer use to work better, we’d fill little margarine containers with a couple bottles, and soak the bodies in it.
Good Morning I like long videos my self and I don't mind long videos I am a big fan of diecast Reaction I like how your cars come out they are looking Good
Turned out Awesome!
Yay! Another vid. It's like the high point of my day. The engine sounds are epic!!!! Blub, blub, blub!
Dude I just seen a viral video on Facebook of this video pretty cool to see good for u man ur doin something right I know I love ur videos kept it up
Thanks brother! Things should really take off once some of the other ones get some exposure!
I think it would of looked better without the black roof but still looks very cool. All a matter of personal choice. As usual awesome and very funny video👍
Bloob, Bloob, Bloob Bloob 😂🤣
Thanks Gary, its just the vinyl top was so common on those cars IRL so I had to!
@@DiecastResurrection After seeing the picture link you posted further down, I see now what you was going for. It makes a lot more sense now👍
Whats up my broww!!.. it turned out very sweet!!! Loved the color and black top... and those wheels NICE!!!.. i like it.. i like it ALOT!!!.. ;) big thumbs up its one of my favorite castings.. :) ;) =) :D
Turned out wickedly awesome
I liked the old black and gold paintjob.. just like Smokey Yunick! If i was you,i was going keep that paint, but it's only my opinion.. i love black cars btw.. haha..
Almost all of my cars are black and red, black and silver or black and gold (like smokey yunick's paint schemes),but i loved this build and the color choice too! And for sure looks like Snake Jailbird's Lil' Bandit 😂
Keep rockin'!
Yea I could have done so much better on that car, it was back when I wasn’t as experienced. If I did it again it would be crazy. We should repaint it. 👍
Video log day one of the Gauntlet, uploaded a day late but the video was quality...well received by all fans and new subs gained. I am indeed delivering the goods! Great work Brohamus!
“Squad fam out! 🙅🏽♂️” hahaha 👌🏽
I Love It! I owned a '73 Charger SE, so I appreciated the vinyl top!!!
That body style is a 1971 not 1970 Charger.
I had a friend in high school that owned a 71 and he I raced against each other regularly.
Great resto job.
Keep 'em coming.
The casting is a 70, the model it’s made after is a 73’ a little confusing with the dates yea I know sorry
Great job! Those wheels are perfect.
That is amazing nice work
Use oven cleaner on the plastic chrome parts strips it off without hurting the plastics
Making yourself chuckle now!? 😜
Edit:
Beautiful outcome 👍🏼
I believe that it is my favourite one of yours so far.😁
It was a lot of work! Cant be doing that everyday!
@@DiecastResurrection
I can only imagine.
Try not to use up your whole week off, in the workshop.
Love it. Think your vinyl top is a little short. But beautiful job Austin.
Bad. To. The. Bone. Brother. Always. Love. Your
I've never worked with toy cars but I've had success removing paint from plastic Warhammer miniatures with using "Simple Green" cleaner it's much safer and smells better than brake fluid. I've never had a film appear on the surface either so you might want to try it.
castarol super clean will not harm the plastic and will remove the chrome and paint.
Ill try it next time Mr.Darby, i wasnt impressed with the results of the break fluid.

Dude! You made my Monday! Love your videos
Here is what a professional painter told me and now I am going to pass it on to everyone . When you are painting , "paint a separate object sitting on the side of your paint area to ensure you are using the same exact mixture that you are putting on your main subject. When it comes time for clear coating "spray your test object first and see if the two are compatible. If no wrinkling appears on the surface you are good to go to clear coat your main subject. "Easy peasy !
Nice job on the car. You can spray the chrome paint with your airbrush.
Yea, I didn't want to empty my pen out to attempt that, the base was pretty beat up from years of abuse and play. Need to order one of the molotow refill bottles and try next time.
Absolutely entertaining
Nice finish, but please don't feel you have to miss steps out on behalf. We enjoy the assembly and the finish detailing. A half hour is fine, or do a 2-parter if you prefer.
I seen this casting in a monster truck form made me wonder what your magic could do with it!
good match with the red rings and body . sweet.
Excellent!
