Best video ive seen. I want the thinnest application to just support my natural nail. Most salons use a heap of powder. I try to explain i want thinner but its a no go here. They also insist on colored powder. I want a natural look over my nail. Thanks for sharing your skill.❤
Your brilliant comment made me laugh as I thought it was only me with this constant request!😂😂😂😂 I have decided to just master it myself because I want it super thin but as you rightfully said.. "They refuse to listen"😂😂❤
hi you can do a full set while your natural nails grow out then soak off the set with acetone and do a overlay on your natural nails . or you can also do gel x nails they are also great for your natural nails since its all gel.
I Really Love it & I wore the lemon juice color so much cos itz Really fly💛🍋I have Natural Long Real Nails & I ONLY use UV gel & this is such a great tutorial & I'm going to start to learn howta do my Own nails after watching this & She did such a Fantastic job & I Truly love it Alot OMG!!💛💅🏽
@@Rob76kim yes bcos UV gel is under the UV light for it to cure the Right way & it the color don't chip easily At All!! & the acrylic overlay is the fill in that goes on FIRST before they apply any kinda UV gel nail color &/or regular nail polish(which ever one you prefer)💅🏽
@@Rob76kim I'd say both bcos that's wut I get & my nails are Long & very Real & I have to have thos Two together to give my nails the strength & it helps to keep them from breaking easily!!💅🏽
What happens if I skip the sanding? I have long natural nails. I just want acrylic ontop for protection. I'm aware the acrylic won't adhere as long, anything else???
I know this is an older video but maybe you will see my question. For someone who wants to keep their nail growth but has separation at the free edge would you just soak off and reapply? My sister has had her nails done at a walk in salon and says this always happens her nails are kept extremely short she wants me to do a soak off and fresh set when able so not sure if I will run into this issue or not so curious if there are any good tips to prevent it application wise? I suggested that she apply cuticle oil to them daily which probably didnt happen tia for any help
Hi there! Thank you for the great video ! I was wondering if you give a apex to the overlay? It looked like you were in the video but I wasn’t sure . If you do, how big do you make the apex !? Does it need to be a full out apex, like the ones on a acrylic set ? Thanks so much in advance!
question. do I have to remove the acrylic overlay or can I just let it grow out? (I would do a fill in) oh and before putting on the acrylic, do I need a base coat or is primer enough?
after you apply the acrylic you can just do fills until you feel its time for a fresh overlay . and the nails are prepped as if your doing a full set just dehydrate and prime
Yari Alday hi ! I’m using the kupa passport I also have a review on it on my channel , and the bits are from my local nail supply store I’m using a fine sanding band and a fine carbide bit
Can you list all the steps of applications, and also is it necessary to lightly file your natural nail (to get rid of the natural shine) if you’re going to use the hydrate application?
hi the way I keep the natural nails healthy is to only lightly buff the natural nail using a fine sanding band on a slow speed when I'm prepping the nail . use good quality products , always soak the acrylic off never pick or rip them off :)
This might be a dumb question (am learning to be a nail tech) but why use clear acrylic and not just use a color acrylic like if she wanted yellow use yellow acrylic? Is it client preference? Beautiful nails btw 😍

This is the BEST beginner friendly nail video. I've been searching high and low, thank you!
Some of the best I've seen still right today thank you for sharing you
Thank you for watching 💕
I love your acrylic application ... powder to liquid ratio is perfect👌🏾.
Definitely made this look easy...
That's how I'm going to doing my nails 💅 I love the yellow
I love it to
An actual overlay....love it......
thank you :)
Question is acrylic better on tips or natural nails if I want to grow my nails out strong?
hi you can do a full set while your natural nails grow out then soak off the set with acetone and do a overlay on your natural nails . or you can also do gel x nails they are also great for your natural nails since its all gel.
Looks so satisfying

Is there much difference between the UV Gel and the acrylic overlay?

I wanna do this myself cuz I have an acrylic kit, and I have naturally longs nails but I’m scared there gonna damage my actual nail💀😭
I have long nails too and didn’t have the best experience with acrylics but I think it was a combo of diff things and would def try overlays again
Do gel and dip powder, no drilling all soak off
I ruined my natural nails , but guess what ? They grew back
@@JoyAdebambo well my nails grow back very slowly, so I’m not gonna risk it😭
Perfect nails and colour, my nails are nearly as long as your client perfect job 💙🥰
than you !❤️❤️
What are those square wipes you use before starting?
I’m going to ask for this next time !

Is that primer or is that like a base coat?
primer
Lovely yellow😊💅💅💅...
Regina Nails Bfly thank you ! It’s the perfect summer yellow :)
@@AGANAILS well it's over I saw dead leaves😥💅💅💅...
Are you using normal acrylic or the dipping kind that comes off with nail polish remover
normal acrylic
Do you have to do a fill for overlay on natural nails? or do you have to soak them off and start all over?
you can do a fill or you can soak them and do a fresh overlay :)
What acrylics brush is that
size 10 brush Kupa
They did a great job :)
What are the products you use for overlay ?
hi for the overlay itself I use clear acrylic and monomer

I should have said overlay not set
Did you put soak off gel on top of acrylic?
yes the yellow is soak off
Can u tell us what products you were applying?
www.artistrybeautysupply.com powder and liquid
Where/what brand of drill bits are you using?
it has no brand its from my local nail supply store
What was the clear coat you put on the bare nails, before you put on any acrylic?
primer
In the words of the Late Bernie Mac....NICE REAL NICE😀👏👏👏👏👍
How much is an acrylic overlay on natural nails usually costs? Im getting that done.
How do you tell a salon to do this? They always want to put tips - Can I just get the acrylic covering without the tip on my natural nail?
Hi :) I call this a acrylic overlay on natural nails . You can try that :)
Which brand acetone did u use

hi :) for overlay I don't focus on apex I just try to apply the acrylic to make the nail look natural and not to thick
@@AGANAILS That makes sense. It wouldn't need an apex if the nail bed isn't supporting an artificial tip.
What you have in the pink and white pot?
Aniela Liliana Forgaci acetone to soak the acrylic
@@AGANAILS thank you🤗

Nail primer

thank you❤️
Can you list all the steps of applications, and also is it necessary to lightly file your natural nail (to get rid of the natural shine) if you’re going to use the hydrate application?
yes it is oil on the natural nail causes lifting
What is the name of the dnd polish color?
Candace Laws I believe “ summer sun “
Why did you remove the acrylic on the beginning only to put it back on?
because she had the overlay for a while so it was time remove and apply a fresh overlay
You can do a refill 3 times and then you have to remove it and have a new fresh set of nails 😉
Good job but would have left them after the clear was applied.
How do you strengthen them though 😭

it is the client and also the techs preference. I personally like to work with both :)
You don't need to have many colors of acrylic but you must have many gel polish colors so it saves money
_allure_nails_ got it! Thank you!
Iωάννα Couchpotato makes sense thanks!

You lost me at cuticle cutting
It helps to prevent lifting.
That’s how everyone learns in beauty school
It's not bad as long as you cat only the hang nails and the dry skin
What number brush are you using?
