Watching the changing of the colours in this episode is so insane. It's crazy to remember this was mostly under snow when you started. Also brutal on forgetting the fuel (that's literally now my biggest fear of the GDT, it's too remote to forget anything!).
I understand how Dan could survive all those bear encounters, but I don't understand how he lived through telling his wife she looks like she needs coffee! Brave man XD
Hey Dan, found you via Mittencamper's 5 item tag (which I see he's mentioning below) - so just starting to take a look. Really epic journey here, thanks for sharing it. New sub!
I'm Dan's wife, and I'll just mention that he's working on combining all the videos into one feature length video, where he plans to show our progress along a topo-map. It's going to be pretty sweet! But basically if you google "Great Divide Trail" that's the trail we yo-yo'd. There was some deviation from the official trail at times due to closures, but we made sure to walk a continuous thru-hike. Glad you enjoyed our journey!
We live in Squamish at the moment. The Coastal Mountains are beautiful as well, but now that we've seen the Rockies Divide (twice) I think it's unmatched in beauty!
Thanks for these eight videos.
The views, features and colours
are so magificent that it chokes
me up. Thank you, thank you both.
Thanks for watching Larry. These mountains are inspiring.

Great stuff mate. I would love to see a map of your entire journey if its available. Canada is a place i am hoping to travel one day. Thanks.

Beauty! I tagged you in my most recent video. "Top 5 gear" challenge thingy. Would be cool if you did one!
Yes, but I know Dan already has some epics planned for this coming summer ;)
@Dgray I'm a year after this post and feeling the same thing... *heart ache*
Do you live out west in Canada? Absolutely beautiful out there man!
