    I actually got into 3D printing just so I could design and make my own action figures. Before that, I was always trying to make toys by sculpting out of clay. 3D printing is like that but you get to hold a much more professional-feeling model in your hands at the end. Not only is it exactly as you designed, intricacies and all, but it's made of plastic(PETG is my go-to). I'm not sure of any clays that are quite that durable.
    My start was with the, ahem, similarly named QIDItech X-Maker, and an Ender 3 pro. The learning curve was quite steep for me, even though I got into the hobby just when the tech was starting to pick up a ton of new features. Once I got over several month's worth of failures, making my own toys and the like still gives me the most joy and excitement I've ever felt. To have it as a kid, and for it to be as easy as it seems to be getting now, I can only imagine my mind being blown. It makes me wonder if my entire path in life would have been changed if I'd been exposed to this tech at that age.

      This is a wonderful story and thank you for taking the time to share!
      I really think our lives and minds would be far different if we got to experience this technology much earlier in our lives. It truly is amazing and that feeling of creating and holding the first print is something I can’t forget!

    This looks high quality, and I would snag one as soon as they can get the price below $200, otherwise, I'll just stick to an A1 Mini.
    I can see so many applications for this outside of kids using it.

    I have commented on one of ur other videos before an asking about some 3d printers and you were really helpful. But I would like to get your opinion on what semi/ fully enclosed x y 3d printer is best for my budget of £330 or $420 and I am looking to 3d print filaments like PC with its strength and etc

    • @LoyalMoses

I have heard mixed opinions about the klp1 so unsure about that but I have been considering getting the k1 or the two tree as they reduced the price to 400 dollars and it’s got a 700mm print speed plus larger bed I think but I’m not sure any further information?

    LEGO was the building toy of choice when I was a small child.

    3D printing is like LEGO on crank. As an addition to a child’s toy arsenal I approve.

    Great video & product - I would very much consider this for my grandkids. You said that this is best with PLA filament:
    You mentioned a few different types of PLA.
    It would be great if you could do a video on the different types of PLA and different possible uses and criteria of each PLA.
    “Regular / (+) Plus / Pro / Hyper / High Speed” - it could make your head spin.
    Thanks for your time - Frank S.

    I would say having a browser interface is an essential part of learning in the 3D printer space and that should be something Aoseed looks into. When the kids get bigger and graduate to a full fledged slicer they will want to be ready to take that leap. Getting too comfortable with a phone app might also leave them frustrated at first and dissuade them from going further with it. Additionally, having access to a "real" slicer option would mean they could keep using that same printer for years to come. It's a cool idea, but II wouldn't buy one with an 'App Only' limitation.

    • @LoyalMoses
      @LoyalMoses  4 місяці тому

      Thanks for sharing! It's really important to know the audience they are developing for. An easy bake oven doesn't come with the option of a 500 F degree heating element, because it is NOT meant to be an oven to cook turkeys in, just small treats to inspire imagination. It's very much aimed at a very specific audience for a very specific purpose, to be graduated out of. There are already dozens of other 3D printers with browser interfaces and the ability to use slicers. The Bambu A1 mini for example would be great for people that want that experience.

    man, i miss Construx. if they could've used a slightly more flexible plastic the bars wouldn't have cracked. my brother and i used to make little crossbows that were rubber band powered and could fire the smallest bar and knot with the flick of a thumb. best toys ever. bring back Construx! the real ones, not what we have now, they're just Construx in name and nothing else.

    So, I’m very new to all this. I am doing the tutorials that are on both AOSeed website and on the X Maker app.
    I was able to connect and printed a whistle to do my first try at it.
    I want to make some custom tools for my stop motion projects. What would you recommend a newbie to do to learn to get to this point?
    Should I only work with the X Maker or is there other apps that would be compatible? Also, I would follow a YT teacher if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

      This machine is very focused on the X-Maker app and their ecosystem, so I would recommend using their app to create your own objects and characters.

    cool printer but because the a1 mini is bigger faster just as easy to use and can handle lots more i feal its a better printer and 250 used. it also has the maker supply. time will tell how this brand goes but i would rather pick a better printer from a more well know company. the cad on the app seams cool but im all about giving kids pc's and not mobile devices tell teen years.

      @@LoyalMoses i would disagree i have recommended Bambu printers to lots of family's with young kids and they loved it. the a1 mini has all the things the xmaker has and more. for less money. i just feal that if you are a new person getting into the hobby getting a printer with a major company, more reviews and tutorials makes since.

    • @LoyalMoses
      @LoyalMoses  4 місяці тому

      Again, different audiences. Thanks.

    • @SomeRandomEnby
      @SomeRandomEnby 4 місяці тому

      Yes and no. The x maker is aimed for children who are obviously going to be beginners and the A1 mini is aimed for everyone but with a good focus on new beginners and moderately used people. I think the x maker might be a bit better for just kids but 90% of the time the parents can be involved in some way with helping the kid with the machine. So in that case having the A1 is just better because it's a better printer

    • @LoyalMoses

      You are getting closer. Easy bake oven. Parents aren’t buying their kids toaster ovens. Also, not every parent is a nerd who wants to even care or get into 3D printing more than this machine. It’s important to step outside of the nerd / geek world and see things from the perspective of others.

    The dropped connection is probably a 'no activity' timeout in the phone. When you find a way to keep it open, that will cost power, because the intent of the drop is to save power.
