I didn't think other people felt that way. Making Mirrors was fairly new when my first serious girlfriend and I broke up. The music still hits me, but I love to listen to it. Making Mirrors is such a beautiful album, I didn't discover this one until last year.

His other songs are underrated you mean. Gotye was at the top of every chart back in 2011 because of Somebody that I used to Know the song is great but I think other songs in the album (Making Mirrors) are just as equally as good, actually his entire discography is filled with refreshing tracks.

When i was about 17, i used to stay up real late listening to Gotye.
Songs like this one really made me well up in a melancholy and
i'd sit with the feeling like listening to rain.
And i keep returning... the rawness, the sudden leaps into full expression;
relfects the vulnerability of our humanness, reflects life.
I used to put my daughter to bed to this album and none this song fits my disparity. My wife left me with my 7 and 6 year old and I’ve been back on this album.

It's always intriguing to come back to this song in different moments of your life .. no song opens the doors to my layers on layers of hidden emotions and catapults them to the surface.
How is this way more soulful than the older version?! Also Willy's voice is so nostalgic, his songs were the first ones I ever listened.
My favorite musicians are the ones that absolutely enjoy playing and listening to their own music. These guys have it. Gotye seems chill but sounds the best he's ever sounded IMO.

Loving all the Gotye content so much
18 years ago, I was in Melbourne studied in University. At that time, TV at late night passed 12am, they sell music album on it. I bought an album from it. The CD called "Acoustic", featured variety artist. This song was one of them. By that time, I didn't know Gotye. But this is the only song I still remember from that album until today. This song brings back some kind of vague memories for me.
I finally found a man who looked past my mess. We r happy

Gotye’s music got me through such tough times years back, I was wishing for so many years that he would perform these songs again. I had given up. Not many artists can give truly great live performances like Wally did here. Wish I was there. I'd give an arm and a leg to be able to listen to him sing in such a small intimate setting like this, big concerts suck.
