Thanks Jason! Great as always. Glad I’m not the only one who races ahead and cuts my trim too short. It was great to learn some of your back story as well. We appreciate you sharing it.

Thanks for the comic labor. Helped me make a living. I had a comic shop for twenty years when I sold it. Still going!

Any comic books I had as a kid quickly ended up in the trash with the newspapers. Mothers like to purge ruthlessly 😢. Later in my 20s and 30s was buying Heavy Metal and National Lampoon.

Winter is not as BAD as the media makes OUT...ESPECIALLY with modern heating and modern cloths WHICH are unappreciated HUGE factors aa was modern food preservation and transport generations before.....Many animals have more problems with tbe heat than the cold and tbe cold itself isn't the problem to many animals its the lack of food......ALSO , as FAR as your story i bet RIGHT NOW if you go to Iowa it won't be as cold as your 50 year memory of it or anyones memory of where they lived mostky as a child

Jason, likely not your interest but in away it relates to your experience in the comics industry. Dan Davis on his UA-cam channel is currently building a 1/33rd scale Me-410 from Manly. This is an older hand drawn and hand colored paper model with the spotted camo pattern used by the Luftwaffe. What is amazing is the way the camo and panel lines are matching up. All of the kits today are designed digitally. The kit mentioned was done with french curves and slide rules or calculators.

Where Jason talks about being careful about cutting in relation to the length of the text. If necessary scan and reduce the graphics to fit. Not to tread on copyright though.

Mix your own. Isopropyl alcohol and black or colored India ink. You can also add whatever craft paint you want to the black mixture and that works too.

In a thirty year career in the comic book industry Jason likely saw a shift from doing the coloring by hand with ink to doing it digitally. Comic books like any other business is likely to look at cutting expenditures. One place to cut it is using a minimal color palette. It would be interesting to know if he worked for Marvel, DC or or one of the other publishers. But that's his business. If he wants to tell, it's up to him.

Old World War 2 comics, vamprella, Heavy Metal and various others.
    No idea where to go.
Thank you for your very interesting background story.
