Hi Alec, I started watching you at the start of this year and you’ve made me want to be a blacksmith when I grow up. Thank you

Alec in the UK: Sounds distinctly American!
@Eddie Hitler You make the internet a less fun place
@Eddie Hitler What should he sound like then?
@Eddie Hitler
He's from East Anglia, as am I, and that is the local accent, at least in a good number of the local schools.
@Eddie Hitler you’re a funny man 😆 I used to be so embarrassed to have this accent I tried to fake having a different voice - see my earlier videos. It took me growing up a little to realise there’s a little more to me than the way I sound and I could be more myself.
Imagine being that bothered by how you think someone should sound.
I'm glad he's doing well enough for himself to have 2 locations to build shops. He's achieved so much as such a young age.
I feel so nostaligic and hoping for a couple of "old school" steele videos, just alec, an anvil, pilkington, chef mike, home made startup shop. Hard to believe I have been watching for 6 years. Maybe a cameo by Horseshoe Sam. Glad you safe and enjoy the wedding
yes, back when Alec actually taught blacksmithing and every project was not part 17 of a 4 ft sword

Hey Alec!
I'm a Product development and Production Engineer, currently without a job and giving away my sparetime,
I have been following you from before the daily steele days in the backalley workshop. Always loved your energy, and drive and can only want to help guys like you out.
And especially as you guys are really starting to do some lowscale productions and already loving the approaches taken, but yeah
If you would like a free production engineer on board to spar with or run some production ideas with, or maybe just start a whole new production/product
Let me know, Would love to help and sitting still is nothing for me anyways! I Used to work for Morakniv and have my fair share of personal experience also within the crafting world.
If you want to know anything about me or my past work let me know and perhaps I will be able to be of value to you guys, Cheers
Have a good time, and perhaps a slightly less stressful one for a bit ^^
You know people are getting desperate in these strange times if they post letters like this in a YT comment.

Why do I have a mental picture of Alec sneeking in a workshop and "taking" back Mr Pilcington?
james bond theme intensifies
just in a black suit and ski mask tiptoeing home with several thousand pounds of iron tied on like a backpack
Borrowing I think
Damn, I’ve now got the mission impossible music stuck in my head. - Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to rescue your old power hammer...........
Part of me is confused, part of me is hoping for a Colin Furze collab
😱😱😱
He did one very briefly when he first left uk to move to Montana
Part of me is hoping for a Mr Pilkington collab.
@@electricpaisy6045 I was thinking that too; it seemed like the guy who bought Mr. Pilkington wasn't that far from his old workshop, and the two of them were on friendly terms. I was thinking it might even be hilarious if Alec bought Mr. Pilkington back, but I think he's been too spoiled with the Anyang and the Chambersburg that he might not want to go back to a smaller hammer again
Would be epic but probably dangerous putting these to in the same room 😅🤣
I am watching this video at work in my Gen1 Steele Work "Pants" (definitely trousers!). They are super comfy yet hard wearing from what I have experienced so far!
Best of luck to you both and be safe.
Idk about anyone else but I love the machine repair videos especially when he goes step by step and shows all the crap the you find during a tear down.
Nothing more important than family. Happy for ya brother 👊

Aww this is fantastic news ! I hope when you're in the workshop here in the UK its more like the old days 🙏
I’ve watched Alecs videos for 4 years now. It’s pretty amazing and inspiring of how much he’s built up his name and team. Kudos brotha
I'm currently quarantining aswell I'm only 5 days in and I'm hoping to get some forging projects done
Some suggested reading and research for you since you are going into the mass production business: the Toyota Operating System. It can help you trim off production time and costs when used as intended. It is not intended to make workers hurry through tasks as fast as possible, nor is it intended to make all flaws in the process magically go away, but when used as developed, it is great at creating efficiency and finding the flaws in your process.
Delighted to see you are this side of the pond. I miss seeing you work in the old forge.
best of luck, in this time the small things are really of a great help in managing situations and responsibilities we all have.
I know that quarantine sucks but I hope that everything goes great for you, I hope that you have a good time in England, and as always stay awesome
Alec: I want to spend more time around family, so I'm getting a shop in the UK

Excited for proper use of the metric system.
I love the pants i ordered 2 pare of them the second they whent live. I am an arborist so i use them to clime trees aswell as blacksmith and they are supper conferrable and durable but i have one complant and that is that the back pocket is a bit small and a bit tight so a wallet and a phone or a mechanic square is quite tight against the body.
This would work well for you shipping in the uk or Europe as it would save on shipping if you have a stock in the uk
Your drive and your raw skill/ talent is absolutely insane I have so much god damn respect for you man I really do
Welcome back , and thank you for inspiring, educating and amusing.
Does that mean we can buy Alec trousers and grinders in the uk now?

I've been away from this channel for a while, so happy to see your business growing like crazy man you deserve it.
Wow that’s awesome Alec!!! Can’t wait to see the new smithy!!!
May sound weird but I'm really looking forward to you being alone in your workshop again. Seeing you undertaking massive project such as the viking sword and learning as you go really is what I like the most about your videos.
Need to visit Colin Furse. Am sure he could help you with your workshop
That's a mashup I would definitely watch! They both have such high energy.
Well, Furse is all about playing with fire.
Alec "Colin, I need to build a small workshop." Colin (making sure safety tie is in place) "Thats no problem, where did you want the flame throwers?".
Alec " What? No! No flame throwers, just a small workshop with a forge and a lathe!!"
Colin (nervously adjusting safety tie) "But what about a motorised anvil that you can drive to the shops?"
Alec " NO! No motorised anvil!"
Colin (making sad evil genius noises) "jet powered forge? (he says hopefully)
Alec "NO! No flame throwers, No motorised anvils and no jet powered for... wait.. tell me more about that jet powered forge!"
Colin happily dunks his biscuits in his tea!
CANT WAIT TO SEE THE NEW UK WORKSHOP! YES!!👍👍👍👍👍
welcome back and good luck with all you new plans .
So you'll be a proper international business now with workshops all over the world!
Is it just me, or is the speed at which this series of technical details and manufacturing is turned into a teleshoppingchannel increasing rapidly?
Great channel in between the commercials.
Hoping for some quality content from Will in January.
@Right Round see, that is where things go wrong. The Problem is that most people are never satisfied with what they have. He can surely live off the money he maked with youtube, but he wants more. Thereforte he puts in more commercials.
This is the same with artists. Yes, I dont want to pay for movies or music that I dont know. True. It is also true though that most of the artists that complain about this make 10, 100 or 1000 times the money that I make still.
And then on the other Hand I am more then willing to throw an extra 10€ in the register when I buy a CD at a bands merch booth at a concert.
But you are right, I am not willing to pay 15€ for the album on Itunes or Spotify, where most or in many cases all of the money goes to multi millionairs who do not need the money at all.
The Problem ist not that I am unwilling to pay, the problem is that people are greedy.
This video shows it perfectly. He talks about setting up a second workshop for a few month a year that he is in the UK... I work 8-10 hours a day and can hardly maintain one workshop. weird, isnt it?
I feel like I still see as good or better content in between the ads here than I do on many other places. (Just not as much as there used to be.) I don't begrudge him the business he's building, after all, the content I get is free. Not that you don't have a point though.
With what he posted to Reddit asking for suggestions, I feel like he's feeling it too, and is brainstorming some plans to keep us interested while he continues to build his business and brand.
Thank you for clarifying why you were back in the UK. Expanding your business and family is a wonderful reason! Keep up the amazing work!
It was nice to see some casting again!
if any one has a spare british Will on offer. Alec will take him no questions asked.
“Here’s the deal folks, oil is cheap. Seized hammer, very expensive” great quote. Gonna use that when my son learns to maintain his 1st vehicle.
Good luck and enjoy your time in old europe

Stay safe and happy Alec. Btw can you kindly do a video on how to achieve perfect tempering?
Not sure why but I always assumed Mrs Steele was from the US.
Me too, you're not alone.
Me too, you're not alone. Or a cousin or someone else related he met when he went on that last ski trip to Montana with Will whenever that was. (Right after he got the surface grinder I think....)
I'm very happy that this transition with Will is going so much openly than with Sam!
I think they are parting on more friendy terms.
It definitely seems Will and Alec are still good mates regardless of Will creating his own business, will probably see some collabs in the future
@Daniel Stellmon I am confused what happened with sam?
What happened with sam and who is Sam. I have only been watching since a litle before he came to Montana
Who's Sam and what happened?

Huh, I was just thinking 'Weird, haven't seen anything from Alec recently'. Ask and ye shall receive I guess
yup, i went on the channel earlier today and found nothing. Glad I checked subbox this evening to see this video.
So basically Alec is expanding his empire... Awesome!
He is British, empire is what we do lol
@Right Round That is what you think. Who is head of state of the commonwealth?
Good to see you back in the uk, crazy times at the moment, stay safe and keep making videos
It would be so cool Alex while you're there visit your old shops do a little video tour. 🤠
Just as we thought that Alec was done flexing on us with a career more successful than 98% of the population at age 20, he then starts flexing his holiday house and a holiday workshop.
Wait, they let Alec back in? Aren't they afraid he's caught Americooties?
That's why he is in quarantine!
@@pileofstuff Makes me wonder what the effectiveness of quarantining incoming people is for a country that has had a massive resurgence of local cases.
Afaik citizens are allowed to return from pretty much anywhere (policy of most countries) they just have a mandated self isolation period. And to slightly our credit Europe is also having a pretty bad run of it rn due to reopening too quick, so we aren't alone in doing badly at containing it
@@pileofstuff I'm referring to exposure to America: not knowing how to make a proper cup of tea, saying things like "cookie" instead of "biscuit", or thinking you are supposed to throw a football instead of kicking it.

Have to say one of the reasons I started following you was because you were a UK based blacksmith so nice to know you will be spending time here still.
My parents lived in the states for 3 years and moved back so they could be closer to family as well. Go with what is important to you.
"Cargo Pant" on the boxes. I assume you have to order two of them.
i just came out of quarantine,
the only difference is i had the illness.
was lucky tho, was not bad enough to force me to hospital.
I mean. the vast majority of people don't get it bad. so not really lucky. just kinda normal.
@@SeraphX2 i know three people that have/had it my mother needed a ventilator for several days and will need quite a while to recover, my father needed extra oxygen and is still in the hospital, and me.
in some places of the world the hospitals are above 100% capacity.
Do not believe the people who say it is nothing.
Wear a mask.
Keep distance.
What you had was a cold. Nothing more. Quit buying into the "virus" bullshit mate!
@@mulisha0351 there is a distinct difference between a cold and corona.
you are following the wrong advisers.
also my mother certainly did not have a "cold" when she needed a ventilator to survive.
@@ulrichkalber9039 I never said it was nothing. just that the status quo is not to produce anything that is worse than a cold. the fact you didn't get deathly sick is probably statistically closer to normal than being lucky. how old are your parents? probably a lot closer to the ages that start putting people at risk.
another thing you shouldn't do is take emotional, anecdotal experience and mistake that for science.
I didn't say its nothing but it's only dangerous to a handful of people. the rest are usually fine with the expected outliers/exceptions that happen in any situation as widespread as this.
Welcome home Alec. We've missed you.
