This is by far the best unboxing Greenworks Pro 80V Battery Lawn Mower! 👏👏👏 THANK YOU for sharing! 🤝 And thanks for mentioning the transport safety cautions.

I bought one a few weeks ago and do really like it. So easy to start after I figured it out prior to finding your video. It is a bit difficult to plug in the battery and get it out of the mower due to weak wrists but still much better then pulling a cord over and over to start. Still trying to figure out how to mow grass on the curb. It gets stuck. Maybe I need to raise the wheels? Just an old lady l learning how to do things. Now trying to figure out how to stand it up to store. Your video is excellent !!! I'm glad I found it.

I've gone through one season with a dual battery version of the Greenworks 80v mower, and so far it's been a great upgrade from my old 19" 40v mower that I'd hoped for. I gave the 40v Greenworks mower to a friend, and it's still going strong after seven years, but my yard is a little too large for the 40v to manage when I've been away and the grass gets 8 to 10" tall. The 80v is very powerful, but goes through batteries when cutting tall grass. With a sharp blade it performs just a strong as my supposed 6.5 hp Honda gas, which was about equal to a 5hp Briggs. I'd recommend 4ah or better batteries.

I have the self propelled version, which is nice when the grass bag is getting full. I don’t have any issues maneuvering it, so the extra weight of the drive is barely noticeable

I paid less for mine, but I also only got one battery. I love the two speed feature. I always hated how most mowers slow down when you run across thicker stuff but this one speeds up to adjust to the thicker stuff.

I was looking at the walmart one had only 1 battery but it sais (1) 4.0ah so vs the (2) 2.0ah so thats same just bigger battery? Maybe yours is the 4.0ah wich would be the same as 2 in this video.

I almost got the greenworks a couple of years ago but I ended up getting the Ryobi 40v because I already had Ryobi tools that used the same battery. I will never go back to gas. For small yards, electric is so much more covenant.

Ive been looking at electric mowers, leaning towards buying one. Wish this model would include a simpler switch between the mulch and the bag options. I just flip a lever in my Toro, but I dont think this issue would be a deal breaker for me; just, why not make it simpler?

    Dont Buy.
Mine worked 6 times on 1/4 lawn before it stopped working. The battery switchover function only worked the first mow - never worked after that. I really loved the mower while it worked, it was fast, quiet and cut really well. I stored the batteries in the house and the mower in the shed. Tried customer support, was on hold 20 minutes before giving up. Going back to Costco. sigh...

Works… any big reason why you picked GreenWorks?

    • @ImChillToo
      @ImChillToo  2 роки тому +2

Thank you. No particular reason that I picked the GreenWorks. Mainly because I had seen it recommended before, and it just so happened to be on sale at the time when I was looking. The EGO and Toro could be just as good or better.
I had the Kobalt 80 volt from Lowes for a few years, gave it to someone else, and now it’s starting its 5th year and their happy with it. This will be my 2nd year with the GreenWorks.
Regardless, I’m very happy with the electric mowers. And won’t buy gas again; it’s a whole different experience mowing the yard.

    • @ImChillToo

You remove the battery by pulling the battery. Don’t pull ‘upwards’ on the battery, pull it ‘outwards’ from the charger. It would be the exact opposite way of how you put it on the charger. It might take a little force, but it’ll slide off the charger. Hope that helps.

@@ImChillToo Thank you. I was afraid I might break something if I forced it, so I pulled it outwards more forcefully. I should have mowed today but I didn't. I haven't mowed with this new mower yet. It seems like it's heavier than our other electric mower.

Has anyone noticed if their motor shaft is wobbly/not true? I have two 21" non self propelled 80 volt mowers and one self propelled and all 3 the shafts are wobbly and so each end of the blade does not travel on the same plane, but rather roughly close to 1/2" apart which is not good and likely affects the cut quality. Here is a video I made attempting to show mine. If nothing else, you can see the wobble in the plastic piece with the fins...
    m.ua-cam.com/video/3sv7fbDqzhE/v-deo.html&pp=ygUdZ3JlZW53b3JrcyBtb3dlciBibGFkZSB3b2JibGU%3D
Also in the self propelled there was an extra screw in the drive wheel which started to destroy the plastic gear. I've heard of others having that too. As if a worker in the factory leaves it in there for the fun of it.
