I love how you can just tell by the enthusiasm in your voice you love those animals. Amazing video to sit back and chill watching. Every enclosure looks fantastic
Beautiful. I love all of their names. You talk about them the same way I talk about my crested gecko and my ball python. This video is like chicken soup for the soul 😊
What a feast for the eyes and ears. It’s so refreshing to see animals being thoughtfully cared for rather than the cheapest possible methods. This was the first video I watched as a new subscriber and can’t wait to see the others. Thanks for the video.
This is awesome man. I grew up with my bedroom full of tanks and reptiles. My mother used to hate the crickets all over the house. LOL. This makes me happy. Thanks for a walk down memory lane. Im 47 now
3:36 “…this may seem like a big enclosure for one frog…” Well…at first, for a second, I was thinking the opposite! Haha. 😂 I thought “that’s tiny for a bullfrog” until I saw Lucille’s size. It’s a great tank! Wish I had done that for my tomato frog! They were similarly sized, and at first I put her in a 50 gallon tank, thinking it was gonna be great (probably would’ve been, lol), but she was so sedentary that I just moved her into a 20 gallon. She’d come out in the summer, and just hop around for five minutes or so, but then go burrow some more. She probably would’ve benefited from a shallow water feature like you’ve done for Lucille! So actually… your tank has inspired me. 😊
Thanks fpr giving all your animals the best you can. I think people want a ton of different animals but provide minimum size enclosures, no enrichment etc. Personally, I would rather have fewer animals and provide them with the most amazing enclosures that im able to. Animals deserve height and floor space regardless of their species. People will be surprised to see their animals utilizing most if not all of the space. Like how people say ball pythons dont climb or like you mentioned people keeping boas in short enclosures. It just makes me sad that they could and would appreciate a lot more height. I really enjoy all the plants you have too. Making my girls enclosure bioactive made me into a plant person again. Lol. I dont rhink my husband loves it ha but hey plants are beautiful! Anyway, thanks for sharing your cuties with us! Have a great day!
Thank you so much. I feel like it’s my responsibility to give that to them. Too many people cut too many corners on how they keep their animals. They don’t do the research they should. and they don’t make the the upfront investment that they should. They can be kept happy and healthy without being bioactive, but they deserve the space enrichment.
By the way, _Dieffenbachia_ (and most terrarium plants)are forest floor plants, and will definitely burn under lights. There are exceptions, like creeping fig, and some _Tradescantia_ too, but even then some are picky. Most tropical plants, especially aroids (Araceae family) prefer bright INDIRECT light to keep their shape & colors, and will absolutely burn in full sun, or directly underneath lights. What exactly does that mean, “bright indirect”, people ask… I think of it as outdoor sunlight, but filtered under a shade screen or shade cloth. Like they have outside at every Home Depot and nursery. That’s the ideal sun exposure for many species of plants. It’s strong, but just strong enough to keep them stimulated without the risk of burning. Another way to think of it is if you have a plant in a sunny room, not sitting in the sunny window. Place it maybe back six feet so it’s growing towards the sun, but not close enough to be in it.
I’ll probably have to rethink about what plants to put in there. when those deffenbachia were big and healthy they gave a lot of cover, so Imdont want it bare in there. the only problem is replantingnit without Carl completely freaking out on me.
Any of the enclosures that aren’t aquariums, or exoterra or zoomed terrariums, I built myself. For the enclosures for my boa, corn snake, and ball python, I have previous videos on how I built those. I’m not really a handy person, so if I can do that, anyone could. Lol.
Thanks. I get this light on Amazon. I have it on several different vivariums. I like them a lot. Here’s a link to it on Amazon. www.amazon.com/dp/B09P4NQSRX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
I love this video so much! It's perfect and so relaxing! Where do you get those massive branches from? They are amazing! If you collect them yourself, how do you treat them so that they are safe for your reptiles and amphibians?
Thank you so much. I really appreciate hearing that. I just collect the wood and the moss in the woods. I have a ew special places where I find really nice moss. Some of the big branches are from sycamore trees and you can find sycamores growing by the sides of rivers where I live. The big sycamore limbs in the day gecko’s vivarium came from a spot by the Wabash river a few hours from where I live. For the moss, I don’t do anything to clean it. For the wood, I just blow it off with the hose some, and that’s all. I don’t know why people feel like everything has to be sterilized and boiled or baked. It’s all bioactive and there’s nothing in the wood or moss that will harm any of the animals. I’ve been doing it that way for many years and never had a single problem. I think that sterilizing wood and leaves is just a reptile keeping myth which definitely gets perpetuated on UA-cam. If anything, I hope to get some stray isopods and springtails, or other microorganisms that hitchhiked on the moss. 🙏🐸🦎🐍
@@WonderfulWorldReptiles this makes complete sense! I'm in FL, so there aren't any sycamore branches, unfortunately, but I'm sure there I could find SOMETHING. I'm so excited to have found a fellow garter snake keeper!!
@@WonderfulWorldReptiles Yes, they are more maintenance than other snakes, like BPs, and definitely have to be more careful when feeding, but they're so worth it. Oh wow! If she is gravid again I'd be interested in a couple of the babies ☺️
@@wheezyvettech8781 I'll keep you in mind because I will need to find homes for them. Last time I didn't charge people for them, but just asked people to cover the shipping. Getting them to good homes is my main concern.
Some people don’t catch that. Obviously, I’m a huge Walking Dead fan. I named the bull frog Lucille after Negan’s bat because he’s so brutal when he gets his food. 😂
Every enclosure is immaculate. Every one of those animals won the lottery to find themselves under your care.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate hearing that.

10:53 the frog jumping haha
it’s so funny
Scarlett jumping into the side of the terrarium top right at 10:52 😂
It’s so funny. I just watched it in slow motion.
Wonderful video, brilliant.
Thank you very much.
Wow, this is incredible. Your reptile room shows the love you have for these animals. Great job!
Thank you so much.
boa is pretty too ❤
thank you
James’ enclosure are clean glass goals
I’m kind of compulsive about it.
I too have an Amel corn that is incredibly tame. He is definitely my ambassador snake.
😀 They’re such wonderful snakes.

Thanks a lot. I’m really glad you liked it. My wife is very patient with the usual escaped crickets and fruit flies.

Thanks. I couldn’t find the info on this music. It’s something I downloaded quite a while ago and lost track,of what it is.
I have the same tank as sunshine for my terrabilis dart frogs ! What light set up is that if you don’t mind me asking !? It seems to fit so nicely
