Although I was never in to low riders, I see this as a win for car culture in general. 💪🏼
I do aswell. But I see how they felt drug selling was involved. Ain't no one working a honest job at a warehouse or something like that has the money for that.
@@TheBasher-_- Not everyone who builds a nice car is involved with illicit dealings. People poor their savings into their builds.
Same thing with me, even tho i not into speed or burnouts, but still respect people who does that and stay safe out there.

When stationed in CA I enjoyed the cruises. Made me miss the ones in KY. Went to Graffiti night in Modesto. ❤
I wasn't a lowrider, but I have very fond memories of cruising my '63 Ford, 390 CID, 4 speed on the floor muscle car on E st in San Berdoo, CA on the weekends during my high school days in the mid '60's. Ahhh... , those were the days, glory days and nights. The days before the rise in 'no cruising' laws.
From what I remember not just lowroders cruised the streets.. hot rods and customs did to
I lived in San Bernardino from 1998 - 2006 after I got out of the Army, and my dad grew up there in the 40s and 50s. My uncle still lives there too. He and I often show our cars at the Route 66 Rendezvous there. He has a 69 Pontiac Bonneville, 62 "JFK" Lincoln Continental and 75 Ford Ranchero. I have a 72 Ford Mustang Grande (originally my mom's car), 65 Ford Thunderbird, 65 Imperial, and 73 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. The Cadillac was sold to me in 1996 by my Uncle Caesar "Bud" Wackeen from his Ronald Moran Cadillac dealership, of 1974 HB Toby Halici "Gone In 60 Seconds" fame, which he starred in as himself. He's the man talking on the phone with the secretary during the Cadillac dealership destruction scene. I have other cars that I'm modifying also, mostly from the 80s and 90s, but also other older classics as well.
Saw that once. Was at Norton AFB for a month. Beat roomie’s parents lived around there. Surfed LA first time ! From underneath the waves are beautiful. More time there than on the board LOL 😂

As a white man we were run out of downtown riverside for cruising back in the mid 70s because we were hotrods
It was a bs law to begin with. There is nothing wrong with showing off a beautiful piece of art 🎨 while you're crusing. They're not causing any trouble
You don't know the history. It clogged roads, prevented emergency access and attracted too many hooligans. Many areas became very dangerous.
I'm with you. Deploy a few good traffic officers to keep things moving and that will usually do the trick.
Beautiful vehicles......Let these people ride.

It was bitter-sweet to click on this video & with great sadness that I bought this special Caddy below for my dying mother & my
despicable Fl. condo-board of "Old G' NY Gangsters" towed & stole it before I could take my dying Mom for a ride to give her healing hope for a cruise in it down Ocean Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale.......
In fact, they stole/towed all 3 of my Caddy's during the height of Covid & one that was also my grandmothers.
Police say its a civil matter & they were not insured. Too ill to fight the last good fight & my Mom & I paid our dues to my ungrateful cowardly neighbors. All on the court records of Broward County & Fed courts of the southern district in an unbelievable cold war saga.
Why? Cause they didn't like me questioning their improprieties & embezzleing of condo funds & they also beat a Fed. RICO investigation into fraud I triggered that was a sham investigation. (Now that's a story I'd love to tell Natalie for an expose' of widespread condo corruption in S. Flor'Dah.) A different kind of racial discrimination & annihilation.
The real gangsters get on condo boards & steal from "The Hood" & their own neighbors in luxury ocean front condos. Collaboration of White Collar Crime & Lucchese/Gambino operations in S. Florida!
Very common way of the Hi-Life in So. Flo. condo living, & most owners are apathetic & submissive to get involved to put a stop to it & just move & pass the hot potato to fresh blood.
Below is the car in the video of the Caddy I bought for Mom that I found on-line from someone posted an old video of this beautiful Caddy on display at this museum before they finally sold it to me after years of phone calls pestering them.
The only recorded memory I have of it, & sadness & fury it brings that my Mom never got to even see it as I cared for her 24/7, & those animals killed both of us slowly.
Too weak to fight. It was Mom & Me against the World.....
& now its just Me Against the World.

Interesting how they restrict low rider cruising (which they do super slow), yet fast street racing restrictions are not enforced.

I’m older than most of you, had a lowered Geo Tracker with a huge stereo system in the early 90’s and within the last couple of decades had a lifted Cherokee, Tacoma, Wrx, a speed boat and a Mustang GT. They are/or were fun in their own unique way, gave many good memories.
Now American can see the real deal low riding for life

California is really focusing on what matters. Not border issues. Not homelessness. Not the rampant violent crime. Cruising. That’s what matters.
This is real cruising fun unlike Florida where idiots take over the dam roads and streets and do stupid stuff, hold up traffic and are truly in general a public nuisance. Not to mention the bystanders getting hurt and knocked over.
There were reasons hundreds of cities banned it years ago.

Low riders are cool. Unfortunately the scene will probably get taken over by the gang and violent elements. The current trend of “street takeovers” is the perfect example. Street takeovers are a serious problem.

Back in the 90s, we cruzed. We were white and didn't drive lowriders, but Mexican Gangs ruined it. The drugs, violence, vandalism, etc.

Hey genius cars before 1975 are exempt from smog. 90% of the vehicles shown here are pre-75. Also, if your interested in their insurance you should study for the test, become a licensed agent and go out there to sign people up. Make some $ instead of sitting back hating 😂
