Rookie season, single season and playoff game. He deserves his props.

Augford P. Doggie glad you asked. His wife’s sister was my moms friend at the time. I was about 12 or so and he was in town. I believe it was around 4th of July weekend. He showed me his hall of fame ring as well. Bought fireworks for us all. I got several autographs from my moms friend throughout my childhood. If you’d like to see let me know and I’ll add you on Instagram!
Eric I played against you your SR year in Sealy. I was a nothing MLB and I was amazed at how smooth and powerful you were. You are a rare athlete that never got the respect you deserve. Stay chill.
Eric, you are the greatest. You ran so effortlessly. You made it look so easy. ...I can’t believe you are so overlooked by people who are paid to pay attention to this stuff. You are my number 1 back of all time.
Without a doubt!! My all time fave player growing up. I was around for jim brown but I seen peyton, sanders smith and nobody ever ran the ball like eric. 6 foot 3 220 lb running a 4.3.

It would have helped had the Rams had some what of a passing game For him to get so many yards when EVERYONE knew he was getting the ball is truly remarkable
yep. i think he got something like 7 total rushing yards during that nfc championship game - one freezing ugly grey afternoon in the old soldiers field in 1985
I was a huge ED fan growing up. So unfair he never got all the fan fare and credit he deserved. Not the greatest pass catcher or blocker out of the backfield, but in my opinion, the best pure runner in History, no contest. Go number 29!!
My all time favorite running back. Speed Vision and Power. You had to be there these highlights really don’t do him justice but the numbers don’t lie. “First and 10,” Second and 3, First and 10 over and over again.
#1 here. No other RB had his style and flair. He had it all, speed, size, quick feet and power. There are some that come close like OJ, Walter, and Earl. Give me Dickerson and Campbell over all the rest.
Dallas like every other defense Dickerson faced, planned, strategized and focused their entire game plan around stopping ED. Without any real passing game to speak off, Eric used his upright running style to give defenses no chance to hold him under 150. This guy had the perfect blend of speed, power and vision. Greatest RB I ever saw in the NFL.
Just to think all these years have gone by and we have had some amazing bad a$$ Running Backs but none have ran as stylish as Eric Dickerson and his single season record still stands.
He was a few yards shy of the record @Spenser His coach took him out of the game if I’m not mistaken because the Vikings were in the playoffs and he didn’t want to run the risk of injuring Peterson but if my memory serves me correctly he was like 9 yards from breaking it. There is a video clip of Adrian on the sidelines asking somebody if he had broke the record. I know A.D. hated that.

He is absolutely right when he said Cowboys were too slow. Landry did a great coaching job to get the Cowboys that far but team was in serious decline by that point. And Tony Dorsett, who was the featured player of the Cowboys game plan that game, demonstrated zero comparison to Dickerson in that game. Life long Cowboys fan up to that point, I couldn't argue that Dickerson was best player on either team that day.

It's a real shame that Eric Dickerson never won a Superbowl with the mighty L.A. RAMS. He would've been the best MVP of an L.A. RAMS Superbowl championship game.

I remember at 15 years old watching that game of Cowboys vs Rams as I anticipated the next game vs Chicago AT Chicago and recalled how Mike Singletary prevented Dickerson from scoring another TD at goal line as 1 of the GREATEST GOAL LINE STOPS of all time. The Dallas game gave Rams a very relaxed practice week leading up to Bears which we all know the 85 Bears STOPPED EVERYBODY THAT YEAR except for Dan Marino at week 13..
