I have watched this video 4 times in a row.....some would consider that a waste of approximately 40 minutes. I like to think of it as 40 minutes watching a masterpiece
The whole song is absolutely amazing. But that end is just incredible. They are both so incredibly good. Its alot of fun to watch them and how they can play together. It's very rare to see chemistry like that.
Does anyone have the verrry beginning lyrics when he’s just almost talking, not quite singing? The part about wondering if he could have been a fireman..?… and the rest, but I especially love that line because my husband is a fireman and was as a kid too, with the junior firefighter program.
We saw Dave and Tim at sugar land Texas in January 2017 and it was fantastic ... so much soul and the acoustics were unbelievable. Make time to see them if you have the chance!
This is so incredible. The closing 30 seconds are pure magic. I've watched this dozens of times. The two compliment each other so well. Thanks for getting this here.
You probably shouldn't listen to dmb then. Tim and Dave mesh so well together rhythmically and in tonality. Beyond that, Tim's there mainly as a lead and his guitar playing adds another level of depth to the music. Truly a genius. If you want simpler phrases and rhythm, i suggest listening to country.
Buy the dvd....it's 100% worth it AND you get bonus features and interviews with Tim and Dave. I've watched mine at least 40+ times. I actually own 3 copies "just in case" 1 gets scratched LOL
I was at this show and while it's certainly good, there were a lot of Nancies from 96-99 D&T that were superior, imo. Luther College for example. Something about that recording gets me every single time.
I wish we had all those intro almost just talking lyrics… the fireman 👨🏻🚒 line is one of my faves because my husband is a firefighter and was as a kid in the junior fire program.
Could I have been A parking lot attendant? Could I have been A millionaire in Bel Air? Could I have been Lost somewhere in Paris? Could I have been Your little brother? Could I have been Anyone other than me? Could I have been Anyone other than me? Could I have been Anyone other than me? Could I have been Anyone? He stands touch his hair his shoes untied Tongue gaping stare Could I have been a magnet for money? Could I have been anyone other than me? Twenty-three and so tired of life Such a shame to throw it all away The images grow darker still Could I have been anyone other than me? Then I Look up at the sky My mouth is open wide, lick and taste What's the use in worrying? What's the use in hurrying? Turn, turn we almost become dizzy I am who I am who I am well Who am I? Requesting some enlightenment Could I have been anyone other than me? And then I'll sing and dance I'll play for you tonight The thrill of it all Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes But I'll work it out Then I Look up at the sky My mouth is open wide, lick and taste What's the use in worrying? What's the use in hurrying? Turn, turn we almost become dizzy Falling out of a world of lies Could I have been dancing Nancy? A dancing Nancy Could I have been anyone other than me? And then I'll sing and dance La lala hey, la lala hey, la lala Sing and dance La lala hey, la lala hey, la lala Sing and dance I'll play for you tonight The thrill of it all Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes But I'll work it out Then I Look up at the sky My mouth is open wide, lick and taste What's the use in worrying? What's the use in hurrying? Turn, turn we almost become dizzy
I also wish we had the lyrics at the very beginning, almost just talking intro like parts. I love those too; especially the fireman line because my husband is a fireman, and was as a kid in the junior firefighter program. 👨🏻🚒
surprised no one has commented on the terrible auto tune on this... it must have been the whole concert because all the radio city videos have it....it completely ruins this video...LET THE MAN SING!
WOW- Amazing performance!
dave and tim clearly knew they were killing it! words cant describe how amazing these 2 are and the whole band included
This deserves 1,000,000,000 views
this is one of the best songs of all time.
How did Tim NOT break any strings on this one, I'll never know. AMAZING.
Always. Dave and Tim always sound amazing together; especially during Grace is Gone and #41. Simply amazing
In my opinion, this is THE best version of this song.
It's usually hard to get lost while sitting in a chair. I just did... Thank you, I needed that.

for sure! This is the best acoustic duo I have ever heard.
I wonder how many people know what this song is even about. Because that is what makes this song so great.
What’s it about? Do tell if you know more firsthand knowledge… 😎🎵🕺🎶🎸
"Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes but I'll work it out" - AMEN!!

Tims riff at the end is incredible. As is the whole song and dave and tim in general

I love how he looks up in the beginning. "When I was a boy, i thought I was going to be a ----" as if speaking to God.

yet so many versions, so that is impractical to say. May I say, though, I LOVE TIM REYNOLDS
@Kyosho506 Haha somebody just did to piss you off
@evamusicbomb life

Isaac Italiaander Dave doesn't auto tune anything. His voice is just that good
10/10 A+
fuck /mu/
thank God you are not anyone besides yourself, Dave.
What is he on?
ho-ly-CRAP
Thumbs up for Dave. But Tim overplays everything. I wish he would play more simple and melodic phrases, in my opinion.
