My car is filled with Elvis CDs and nothing but Elvis...
That's hilarious! Elvis had the best sense of humor of anyone I know! He should have left the stage for a few minutes!😂
He should’ve just carried the prank the full length LOL
My take is that he was so sick of doing the same set, the same songs in the same order, that he understandably did things to make it fresh. I'm a theater actor and did a 2-year run once and was ready to off myself, I can't imagine doing it for years and years and years in the same old venues... good Lord, he was amazing. And I listen to Elvis to go to sleep every night- shuffle my playlist.
Yeah you have a good perspective on that. It’s like putting it on shuffle. Too bad he didn’t do the whole show on shuffle LOL but that might not work.
Hi there Caroline LM.
I'm sure he was sick, and tired of the " same old routine, and venues , ALL THE TIME ".
MY LORD , ELVIS PRESLEY should have been " touring the WORLD!!!!".
He needed to be challenged with his Craft " ,. I blame that so called( Col T Parker).
OUR ELVIS WAS TRULY LOVED, AND ADORED " ALL AROUND THE WORLD " , and he's giving performances in Vegas etc ".
So yes , he loved to joke around, and like you had mentioned " to break the monotonous same routine, ALL THE TIME.
Well said Caroline.
Loved your comment ❤️.
Tc always please, God bless 🙌 🙏.
Regards
Jessicah.
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE ,AND LOVE ELVIS, AND I WAS LMAO, watching this clip from Elvis the Man.
Stay happy, and POSITIVE.
@@garyt1957... yes, that setlist was always HIS choice and no one else's...
Thank you 😘👍🏻👏🏻
Love it! Elvis loved to joke around. He had a great sense of humor his whole life. Thanks.
Sounds great Elvis could do no wrong, I listen to him all day❤❤❤
Elvis was so funny to even think to pull a prank like that!! Love him so much! Great human being!! I listen to Elvis every morning to start my day and periodically throughout the day!! ❤ TY!
This rather „pure“ version (without horns/strings etc) does not only show ELVIS‘ great voice - but also what a great and powerful unit all his backup singers on stage was ✅😊
He had a great band
@@ElvisistheMan_ damn right 😊
Yep I totally agree with this! I liked hearing him singing without all the instruments playing in the background. It probably sounded really great in person or on a good recording.
I used to work with a lady who saw every concert Elvis performed in Tennessee in the '70s. She said that she regretted never seeing a Vegas show because word amongst fans was that Elvis' mood was more playful and spontaneous at those concerts.
Probably because he was more comfortable at the Vegas stretches to loosen up. But if he was just in town on the road for one night, he’d want to deliver things in a more ‘straight’ manner as fans would have expected.
Elvis had a great sense of humor. Just one more thing to love about him. I’m lucky my car does have a CD player so I listen to a variety of his CD’s. The one I’m listening to now is Promised Land.
I listen to Elvis every day when I walk a mile...great listening and Great music 🎶🎵 always!!
This is a really fine version. I love the normal powerful ending version but this is such a nice difference.
I think that was so Elvis-funny. He so enjoyed things the audience could be in on. I listen to him every day. I could be in a bad mood and he can make me forget my troubles with a song. Thanks. Very nice to discover something I've never heard before. 🎸👑
He’s the greatest. He has so many things to choose from.
😂😂😂 I would be happy to see him on stage for few minutes just with one song 😊 He was always very funny. This is a very original version. I listen to him everyday...he manages to make my days a lot better ❤
ABSOLUTELY, if Sirius XM radio dropped the Elvis channel I would be dropping them ⚡
So so true it’ll be so fast it’ll be TCB⚡️
Elvis is the only reason that I have SiriusXM. 100% they would be no more if they ever drop the Elvis channel!
We can listen to Elvis radio here in UK that is transmitted from Denmark. Linda Thompson seems to endorse it
@@denisekaya6444 Happy to hear from the UK here in Alabama, USA
@@victoriawhite07able Totally agree with you Vicki, mine stays on the Elvis Ch bout half the time ⚡⚡
What if someone had said Elvis has left the building?
LOL that would have thrown the audience into a spin😂😂😂😂
My parents were there for this. Too bad my mom didn’t record it. Excellent Dave. 👍
Wow that’s cool!
Hey, Ed! What are you doing, playin' hooky over here? LOL!
I turned 60 this year!
After seeing ELVIS the movie; my life changed!
Elvis music is now part of my daily life especially his GOSPEL music!
Just came back a month ago from Memphis TN visiting Tupelo and Graceland! WOW what an experience! ❤
My first tattoo coming soon

EP fan forever!
I just love how he jokes on stage and and enjoying it!
✌️😎
I listen to Elvis everyday on Spotify.
Elvis sings it beautifully
Thank you David xxx 💝

A little Elvis, then Elvis and before I go to bed some Elvis....
Have always loved ELVIS and will continue till the last breath Mauritius 🇲🇺
I've been listening to Elvis' early songs from '56/'57. The songs have such sweet lyrics of love and heartbreak. And The Jordanaires' harmony was beautiful with Elvis' voice. A simpler time, a magical time. Love all his performances on the old TV shows. Also am listening to King Creole album as well. A favorite from my childhood and my Dad. 💗💓💖
That’s something I don’t listen to too much. Elvis’ 50s stuff. I always gravitate to the 60s and 79s.
I was 14 when Elvis died so I was more familiar with the 60s and 70s as well. 😉
I only discovered UA-cam about 3 1/2 years ago. I Come on here every day since then to see anything regarding Elvis. Movies, songs, videos, whatever I can find. During the day it’s his cd’s and at night it’s UA-cam thanks to people like you David who share what you have. Thank you
UA-cam is a great recourse.
I love it when he would change things up. He's
wearing the suit he wore when my Parents saw him in Syracuse NY in July, 1976
Nice!
My Aunt saw him 60 times in concert from November 1970 to April 1977. 16 of those shows were all 16 of the shows he did December 1975 at the Las Vegas Hilton. She loved seeing him throughout the south in all the other 44 shows, but she claims to see him in the intimate setting of the 2200 seat showroom, as well as being front row for 15 of the 16 shows, she says there was nothing like it. She tipped Emilio $100 each show ($565 in 2023 because of inflation) so he put her up against the stage 15 times. She brought Elvis a gift each time. He stopped the show each time and accepted her gift. Twice asking her what he could sing for her (Teddy Bear). She received 8 scarfs. Several guitar picks. Kissed her each time. And he played with one of the gifts on stage. A battery controlled Teddy Bear on a little plastic motorcycle. Elvis turned it on and watched it go around in circles and kidding like it was making him dizzy as he followed it around on stage. She said there were some really great moments from those shows, but also said he was moody and there was some conflict on stage. I won’t go into the whole story, but he and Hardin got into it on stage. Soon after this engagement was over he was replaced on piano. She’s been approached about her stories for a book so I can’t share much more, but like I said, there were a few strange things that occurred on that gig.
Thanks for that info and the memories! Wow, she saw him 60 times? She didn’t take Elvis touring for granted….
Love me some, Elvis I can listen to him all day long.
Elvis , The Best !
I don't have a particular Elvis go to era, albums or set of songs. I listen to everything from 1954-77. Although I probably listen to the Stax Sessions, Today Album, Promised Land, Fool, From EP Boulevard and Moody Blue less than the rest of his career. Each phase of his career has a special quality. I'll highlight one song that I have listened to recently because I am completely amazed at his vocal, "Milkcow Blues Boogie." Pure early genius.
“That don’t MOVE me. Lets get real gone for a change!”
@@ElvisistheMan_ That's it.
Ah, my boy my boy....such a clown 😂. Love his sense of humor....he was always planning pranks for some of his shows - kept his fans entertained.
I listen to Elvis music ALL the time, secular to gospel....every free moment. So much so my partner is beginning to get jealous....lol.
Why not change it up a little that was funny people thought it was time to go love it
Yes, you're right.
I think he could get bored and not want to even be there.
So maybe he was playing around, not impossible.
I listen to the same gospel cd all the time.
LOL....good way to keep the band on its toes !!
Elvis is the only music I care to listen to. This was a great video thanks.
Glad u liked it my friend.
Qu'en j'écoute Elvis c'est la dire tout le temps 🤗il a vraiment une voix et une incroyable justesse quand il chante aussi bien sur des tons hauts que les tons bas sa voix pouvait tout chanter
We 'can't help falling in love' with Elvis 😍👑
I love hearing audio recordings that I’ve never heard before. I wonder if the fan in that audio was telling him to turn around because of the usual female fan reaction (Elvis! Turn around!) or if she was telling him to turn around to see what the band’s reaction was to what just happened? What do you think? And I listen to Elvis more than any other artist. Here lately I’ve been listening to the 24 hour Elvis channel on shoutcast because it’s free and has no commercials. While I’m driving, cleaning, studying, cooking, etc
I listen to Elvis every day while doing my chores he gives me so much pleasure I’m by myself now but I will always have Elvis
I love compilation of his songs, it's so great to let him give emotions to over 20-30 minutes.. Make good to the heart.. Much endorphins ❤
I put a lot of Elvis CD'S on a USB stick for in my car. RCA, SONY, FTD'S and bootlegs.
That’s when I’m going to have to do. I like the good all days where you just pop in the cd.
That's splendid flashback with perfect, very kind, charming and lovely Elvis photos. Wonderful "Syracuse" suit. Thanks✌️👑👼♥️🫶🌞
He sounds great he really does. Would of loved him to sing this in the middle of the set list. Wonderful gem.
I like to listen to some OLD SCHOOL RAP & BASS SONGS FROM THE 80s & some songs from the 40s throw the 70s country music & R&B
The 68 version is my favorite same with Love me tender. The 68 version is just very bold and beautiful. TCB ⚡
68 love me tender is my favorite version.
I always heard Elvis make up words for hos songs.
Thanks to all support his family Presley Elvis Presley always Be the king of rock and roll He never be forgotten 2023 and beyond
Just another reason why he is....
THE G.O.A.T. !!!!!!
THE KING FOREVER !!!!!!
I love this guy he was able to bring so much love and joy because of the way he was so funny so true so real he wasn't fake!
No cd player in my car just my phone kinked up. I'm listening to Solitaire Outtakes, by Elvis. Fantastic
Elvis had amazing personality the movie miss it out. Thanks for your videos best wishes from Leeds UK
I imagine him thinking “ I’ll mix this up a little “ with a little mischievous grin on his face 😉I wander if he let the band in on the joke or was they just as shocked ! My car has all Elvis cd’s in it and at the moment I’m listening to I Found My Thrill and it’s from 1974 xx
1969 and 1970 was the best😊
Oh, how I wish someone would have filmed this. I'm sure it would have been even funnier 😅
Good shtuff man! Like always, I’m glad you’re finding this for us!
Glad u liked!
Elvis channel 👍👍👍
You say exactly what I already thought... That it would have been even better if he did it the way he did during the 68' It's great you focus on these one time rarities. I also like the many one liners he did... Some he did only once...and it's great to imagine how it could have sounded if he ever rehearsed these songs (and were recorded.) That also brings me to, If only they would find some tapes of concert rehearsals.. Some lists are available with the things he surely did rehearse...if only we could hear these.🙏Keep up your great job..Always looking forward to your clips/info. Thanks a lot...👍👍
The 68 comeback special version was beautiful because of the background music of the band.
Sounded like a music box playing.
Thanks man glad to hear! You might like to hear the rehearsal elvis did for Vegas in summer 1972. He rehearsed burning love, seperate wats, and portrait of my love.
SUPER ELVIS SHAZAM :) HalLeLuYAHshua ++++++++++++
Really enjoyed this video 😊
Good!
Thats ENTERTAINMENT
Spotify either in my car through blue took or my sound bar through bluetooth . I will listen to UA-cam concerts or rarer recordings.
I listen to a little bit of Garth Brooks but I love Elvis Garth Brooks was my uncle's favorite and when he passed away I got his Garth Brooks CDs but I'm strictly an Elvis you take care and God bless
I listen to Elvis all the time
E loves to sang ❤with beautiful voice as happy loves to sang with beautiful man has he is ❤
I love the version too where he do it twice in Lake Tahoe 73 at the special mother day show ….combined with 2001 theme or in the winter season 73 on the 15th of February … where he was sick after he came back and closed the show but he wanted more and sung a few more songs after CHFIL… so he surprised the audience a lot
The man was sick y'all, be nice.
Thanks so much! Love Elvis! Greetings from Peru!
I'm listening to if you talk in your sleep opening night fort baxter concert great concert lots of different songs feel emotional listening to good time Charlie's got the blues 💙
I listen to elvis all the time on Spotify
Although I've heard this before, I never get tired of listening to Elvis. I think even the band didn't know he was going to do that. Seems he always wanted to make people happy. Things probably got boring, doing the same thing over and over and he put his on twist on it. I not only listen to Elvis alot throughout the day, I also sing his songs. I just recently learned one that is truly underrated call "We Can Make The Morning" if you haven't heard it you should check out. TCB ⚡
One of my favourite songs too.
Love it , thanks Elvis the man 👍
My car doesnt have a CD player like previous cars Ive had did. I now put assorted music on thumb drives for I do have ports in my current car. Elvis is a huge portion for sure. Other main artists I have are The Beatles, The Dave Clark 5, Buck Owens, Dean Martin, The Statler Brothers and dozens of others. Just put it on shuffle and start driving!
The Mighty Phenomenon that was Elvis...loved and missed forever❤
I like to listen to Elvis when I am relaxing! I enjoy listening to him singing at times when I’m not doing any thing much at all. His voice is like pure to me and he always sings with such great harmony. His singing just helps me to relax and take my mind off of things and helps me to just relax. Sometimes I will listen to him when I am going to go to sleep, not that his singing is boring to make me feel 🥱😴 it is just so beautiful sounding that it has the power to make me feel relaxed and take me mind out of the year 2023!
⚡️TCB⚡️. Thank you for this very interesting change!
Looking forward to the next clip! You never disappoint ❤ loved this one
My fave song from Elvis ❤🌹🎶💔🇦🇹thanks Dave😅
That was so fun. It totally sounds like something he would do. Love this guy so much!!! Thanks.❤️❤️❤️
My go to is Elvis Is Back, though lately I have been listening to Nashville recordings.
I absolutely adore the Elvis Is Back LP and like you have been listening to it a lot lately. I don't drive far from home these days (75 years old and counting down LOL) but my good old record player and CD player get a good workout most days.
I've heard rumors of this for many years, and it's been true all along. Thanks for confirming and proving it👍🤣👑
Yes sir abs thanks for being a loyal sub all these years!
@@ElvisistheMan_ Thank you for giving me good reason to continue watching your channel 👍👑
This version is superb
Been currently jamming to Daisy Jones and the Six! As for Elvis, I'm halfway through his Moody Blue album, and I love guitar man as well as moody blue! I have also gotten into Glen Campbell, and other 60s,70s, and 80s artists!
Another great vid thought it was hilarious
I love it that was funny I thought you was gonna say he split his pants lol😂
The interesting thing is that the band closes the song with the closing riff in an automatic way, as if it were really the end of the show. I think Elvis was aware of the possible bureaucratic condition that the show could acquire after so much time in Vegas, that is, the same place, the same guys and, as a committed entertainer, he couldn't let the routine dominate the show. Nothing better than breaking the routine with a good sense of humor.
“Surely by the key” 😂
Well I’ve been listening to Elvis a lot, I was listening to alot of Metal but I’ve been for the first time exploring Elvis in a deeper way and found so many great songs, I’m reflecting alot on his life too and how it pains to see how he passed, yet paving the way for many rockstars who came after in both a musical sense and just how you need to be careful when touring.
I recently heard Jason Newsted, former bassist for Metallica, call it “PTD” which stands for “Post Touring Depression” meaning that if you don’t take care of yourself when touring you can just be run to the groud because you’re always chasing that high to get away from your demons.
Plus, I’m still wishing for a better Elvis movie that gets deeper into Elvis and doesn’t just glance so much at his downfall, but then again he would need a full blown series for that.
Keep up the great content!
"Surely FIND the key"
Surely by the quay
@@tallman4040 😮is it? Portuguese man with bad ears here then
@@orestodomundo6652 it is. when trying to figure out something like this also take into account that it should make grammatical sense. In music, you "find" a key. It's a common saying.
Normally Elvis would do a more energetic but this version is more calm more like the original from 1963 in some parts
Outstanding Performance by The King 👑 Sing It JD. ❤🎉😢. I’m so excited I Thought The Show Was Over. ❤.
PBS just did a fund raiser and they showed the 68 tv special and the week before This is Elvis was on. After watching both of those I fired up TTWII because it's my fave live performance doc on Elvis. He never looked or sounded better then in that doc.
I agree , a real gem , thanks for the share
Lol
I've been listening to Elvis's 1969 Las Vegas shows, and comparing the way he did each song, even from the dinner show to the midnight shows. For example, I only found one time that he sang "Don't be cruel " with the words the exact way that their supposed to be. That's mostly what I've been listening to lately! And just comparing shows! But it always changes. I like Paul McCartney alot too! But I really like all kinds of music, pretty much!!
I love it! Elvis in a very good moody. Thank you for sharing!❤️❤️🙏
I have also been listening to the recording sessions where he did "Early morning rain " and how good his voice was during that session. But his voice was always really good anyway, but it sounded extra good!! So that, plus his '69 Vegas shows is what I've been into lately.
Listen to take 11 from that session in 1971. It’s my favorite
@@ElvisistheMan_ Exactly,Wow, me to. I like how he pretended to start "I got a woman " and started laughing because somebody in the band kind of did a little bit of it too!!😂 His voice was so smooth during that session!
MISSED OPPORTUNITY!
He should have closed with SeeSeeRider & opened with Can't Help Falling IN Love.
Haha

🏎🏁⚡️⚡️
What CD is this from please?
TCB 👍
What disc is this from David? I don't remember the ranking afterwards
Is there footage and what’s the date for this audio
This is the year Elvis really started to decline. I saw him live and it wasn't petty. He was tired. sluggish, and on stage for only about 45 minutes. And I am a person who probably knows more about him and his music (as I grew up around musicians who knew everything there was to know about any popular performer at the time) than most people on UA-cam. I know his capabilities, but his health was in decline and the abuse of prescriptions drugs was clearly obvious on many occasions at this point.
Don't know what you are talking about, listening to so many 1975 shows through the years it's clear it was the last greatest year and not the beginning of the decline, that would be 1976
I think Elvis was just "bored out of his mind" with the Vegas residency and his career at this point, he was just trying to change something in order not to go totally mad. He really needed fresh management and producers to push him, as Lamar once said it was total apathy that eventually killed him.
Yeah I heard that quote. He definitely needed a change.
hi bro! im looking the song kentucky rain live on video..is there something like that? I thought its in The Lost Performances but no luck! help pls
Sorry to disappoint you but it is not on video. “In the ghetto “is on video. Unless an audience recording sees light of day, it has never been professionally recorded. Other than the audio.
Still have a car that I can play cd's in.

@@ElvisistheMan_ a couple days ago got out my 2 discs Elvis by the Presleys. Not sure if people can buy it now. Probably a rare set to have now!? Luckily I have not played it much. Could be a collector's item?
Haha I don’t know they came out in ‘04 I believe. I bought them. They were pretty good.
So what did he close the show with that night?
Same song. I’ll do a review of it within the next couple of days.
And did Elvis end with can’t help falling in love or another song?
